Betsy Ross commented:
Maybe the ACLU needs to relocate to said war zones….
Finncrisp commented:
Let’s start by banning those “drones” in the ACLU. How are American’s civil liberties being violated by killing terrorists overseas? Geez, these folks are certified loons.
Ladue Pundit commented:
It would be a shame if one or two of those drones went off track and hit the ACLU headquarters. A shame, but the most bang for the buck of taxpayers.
Major Kong commented:
“The government’s use of drones to conduct targeted killings raises complicated questions – not only legal questions, but policy and moral questions as well,” said Jameel Jaffer, director of the ACLU National Security Project.
……………………………………………………………
Huh? Moral issues? Isn’t this the same group that advocates for twelve year old girls to be able to procure abortions sans parental notification, whilst protecting the identities of the adult male sexual abusers who impregnated them in the first place?
cargosquid commented:
How is killing terrorists with missiles fired from drones different than killing terrorists with missiles fired any other way?
Apparently, its the ACTUAL KILLING OF TERRORISTS that the ACLU has problems with.
I think that those lawyers should immediately travel to Afghanistan/Pakistan and start taking depositions…….
garrettc commented:
How is the use of drones demonstratably different from the use of any other weapons systems including an infrantry attack? Yet another demonstration of the abysmal state of college education in the US.
Bobbi commented:
This is looney.
down with dems commented:
So the ACLU would rather we had live pilots in planes firing missiles within the actual war zone, who would be in more danger than pilots sitting comfortably back on US soil in a dark room in front of a screen firing missiles… the latter are completely invunerable and get to go home every night to their families.
Yeah, nice stance ACLU.
down with dems commented:
invuLnerable… doh
Nahanni commented:
Barack Obama=war criminal.
Patman commented:
Soylent Green is people. And after the drone attacks, the remaining Soylent Green is just Jihad leftovers for the dogs and rats.
Drone, baby, Drone.
Charlie Gibson commented:

aro5o75 commented:
Yet the ACLU has no problem with the peace loving muslimes use of IED. Hmmm.
I’m sure the Ayatolla Eric Holder will be in complete agreement with the ACLU hacks.
Neoavatara commented:
Further proving the point that the ACLU doesn’t give a damn about our soldiers or our security. No surprise.
BigJ commented:
I think the members of the Atheist Communist Liberal Union should fly the planes in there themselves, if they hate the drones so much.
mcnorman commented:

I’m with Betsy Ross.
Note to ACLU: I hear the real estate there is cheap. Hasta la Vista ACLU.

ACLU Sues US Over Use of Drones in War Zones – bet they have no problem with using drones above domestic civilian populations.

Did the ACLU sue the Weatherman William “Bombs Away” Ayers and his buds like Bernadine Dorne for using timer-rigged explosives to solve their political problems on US soil?
Was it Ayers who said, “Guilty as hell, free as a bird.”
That attitude didn’t protect OJ Simpson from civil damages did it?
Saint commented:
Yeah, good luck with this:
“In the United States, the federal government has sovereign immunity and may not be sued unless it has waived its immunity or consented to suit. See Gray v. Bell, 712 F.2d 490, 507 (D.C. Cir. 1983). The United States has waived sovereign immunity to a limited extent, mainly through the Federal Tort Claims Act, which waives the immunity if a tortious act of a federal employee causes damage, and the Tucker Act, which waives the immunity over claims arising out of contracts to which the federal government is a party. The Federal Tort Claims Act and the Tucker Act are not as broad waivers of sovereign immunity as they might appear, as there are a number of statutory exceptions and judicially fashioned limiting doctrines applicable to both. Title 28 U.S.C. § 1331 confers federal question jurisdiction on district courts, but this statute has been held not to be a blanket waiver of sovereign immunity on the part of the federal government.”
Sovereign immunity is harder than hell to beat.

Hey Jameel, what could possibly go wrong?

I think its time to retask our Reapers to target America’s real enemy, the ACLU.
Joanne commented:
Hey, drones have rights too!!!! Heh, heh.
Andreas K. commented:
Hmm, maybe the ACLU should go to taliban-infested A-stan areas and enjoy their “way of life” for a bit.
Oh wait, I forgot, the ACLU are just infidel pigs sitting behind their desk and sleeping safely at night because the US armed forces keep people like the taliban away from them. How could I forget that!
alaskan commented:
On what grounds are they basing their suit?
It’s not harming Americans. It’s not on American soil. It is in a war zone. There is a sovereign goverment elected by the people that are not opposing it, or it would be their issue.
But of course, the ACLU has hired a whole bunch of muslim attorneys and brought them on staff with the ACLU. We will see more of these suits…………..and of course they wouldn’t take place without A.G. Holders ‘ok….wink, wink’ to proceed.
greenfairie commented:
What else to expect from an ACLU guy named “Jameel?”
notsurprised commented:
So the aclu would rather have the flag draped coffins of America’s Son’s and Daughters coming home than to have the ability to kill and destroy an enemy that has declared a Holy war on US?
aclu=irrelevant
Tom63010 commented:
Perhaps we should use suicide bombers like they do because there are never any innocent civilians harmed when you use that tactic!
Scott commented:
Totally agree with ACLU, I’m sure switching to suicide car bombings will be far more humanitarian /sarc
TrickyDick commented:
Actually we should be using the drones on the ACLU.
