Worst. Congress. Ever.

The Pelosi-Reid Swamp reached a grim milestone today with the lowest approval rating ever recorded for a Congress in Rasmussen history.
Rasmussen reported:

Voter unhappiness with Congress has reached the highest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports as 71% now say the legislature is doing a poor job.

That’s up ten points from the previous high of 61% reached a month ago.

Only 10% of voters say Congress is doing a good or excellent job.

Nearly half of Democratic voters (48%) now give Congress a poor rating, up 17 points since January. The vast majority of Republicans and voters not affiliated with either party also give Congress poor ratings.

Seventy percent (70%) of voters say Congress has not passed any legislation that would significantly improve life for Americans, up 10 points over the past month and the highest level of dissatisfaction measured in regular tracking in over three years. Only 15% say Congress has passed such legislation.

Forty percent (40%) of voters nationwide now say it is at least somewhat likely Congress will seriously address the most important issues facing the nation. That’s down from 59% last March. Only 9% say it is Very Likely Congress will address these issues.

  1. Priceless!!!

  2. Gee whiz, even some of the Section Eight parasites and union slugs must be unhappy with this Congress.

  3. The sad part is most of them, including the worst of the worst, will probably be sent right back up there by voters.

  4. How can Congress believe that they have ANY right to pass ANYTHING when they have confidence ratings as low as these? They have NO RIGHT to pass anything unless they have clear support from a majority of all American people to do so.

  6. Nancy cares not what you little people think, Let them eat cake! Full steam ahead, damn the torpedoes! Nan and Harry committed to a suicide mission long ago and their not about to surrender when their so close to their goal of bringing this country to it’s knees.

  7. RickC is right. It is always the other guy’s Congressman that is the scumbag, not ours. However, this is new territory for all of us. The Congress has slipped over the line from being just abusive to being abusive and arrogant about it. Only the very, very safe can sleep sound at night. (Like Pelosi and Frank) The rest must feel the heat, even a little.

No matter how many people get on the dole or are dumbed down by our system, there is an innate hatred of being enslaved. Even in a soft tyranny like the U.S.

  8. Who are these 10%? I bet they can’t read and only watch MSNBC. The thing, that will actually make me do a dance, will be to watch Piglosi turn over the gavel and the keys to her private tax payer owned jet. Let her jet the friendly skies with the riff raff, maybe that will cause her to retire.

  9. You idiots, they just haven’t been able to explain their agenda to you clearly enough. If you were smart and educated and ate arugula, you’d understand that Congress knows what’s best for you.

That’s what they think of us, folks.

  10. Tyranny is upon us, What are YOU going to do about it. I have been politically active for years and donate to the conservative candidates. Spread the truth wherever I went. PC got us sensorship of our first amendment. Not I. In your face. Stand up America and speak boldly.

  11. This is a bigger problem for Congressional reps (the Dems specifically, since they have the majority) than many of them probably realize.

Obama’s essentially passed the buck to them to formulate all of his desired goals from scratch, rather than provide guidance on what specifically he is looking for policy-wise and let them craft the legislation from there. So you have a frustrated majority party that’s getting little to no leadership from the person who is supposed to be the best they’ve got. So you have results like a $15 billion jobs bill (peanuts to this Congress) that went nowhere, a stimulus bill that was nothing more than a $750 billion hedge bet, and 2000-page healthcare bills that no one supports.

The Dems don’t want to admit it, but Obama’s shortcomings as a leader are dragging the rest of them down. They still haven’t come to terms with the fact that Obama doesn’t really care what he gets from them, as long as he can set up a photo op and look like a celebrity when he signs the bill. These approval numbers make Bush look like Elvis.

  12. Congress is awful, but look at that photo of Pelosi. Wow….no words.

  13. I’m sure President for Life Obama and his minions are certain that the only way bring up the approval ratings are by passing Health Care, Cap and Tax, Stimulus III, the Revenge and so on.

Once all these nation killing projects are started, we’ll all see how stupid we were and join them all as they jump off the cliff.

  14. “Congress is awful, but look at that photo of Pelosi.”

Legend has it that Pelosi Galore’s early life was the girl Stephen King based his novel and award winning movie “Carrie” on.
    I believe it.

  15. Voter unhappiness with Congress has reached the highest level ever recorded by Rasmussen Reports as 71% now say the legislature is doing a poor job.

That’s because they haven’t rammed through enough unpopular bills.

  16. SanFranGranNan said she was going to drain the swamp. Shouldn’t she be gasping in the mud already?

I posted in an earlier thread that the video of Michael Scheuer calling her a liar (and not “dishonest” or any other wussy word) on Fox & Friends this morning was priceless!

  17. “RickC is right. It is always the other guy’s Congressman that is the scumbag, not ours. ”

Nah. My Congressman is a scumbag. Dennis Moore. But he is bailing with his retirement.

  18. The problem dear Congress is Obama. He will not be pleased until Congress is so weakened that he can be a Unitary President and make all the important decisions out of the White House. The lower the poll ratings for Congress — the closer Obama gets to total power.

  19. This poll shows what our members of the House and Senate have been spending their time on…voting on this poll to get it up to 10%!
Clean house will all of them and start fresh! The founders never meant for it to be a career.
Start with them and then out with O.

  20. The Republicans have been locked out of an arrogant Dem Super Majority. Noooooooooovember checks and balances will begin in earnest.

  21. Let’s see – FAILED – yes that is it FAILED GOVERNMENT. What would you expect to happen with an empty Marxist suit and a Democrat controlled Congress? Clean out the Democrats in November and change out all the non-conforming Republicans as well. Then start impeachment of the suit, defund his operation, and reverse his executive orders with legislation. After that it will be time for a new administration that will dismantle the ridiculous, bloated, overreaching federal government. Defund the beaurcracy that spends our hard earned taxs. Enough already.

  22. Blowout … Put America back to work, fire the Democrats nationwide.

  23. Gerrymandering is largely responsible for this mess. We are trying hard to get rid of my rep but it’s a daunting task to overcome…poorly educated voters, ACORN / SEIU, special interests funding campaigns such as unions flooding $ to candidates in non-union states, the vastly liberal media and yes gerrymandering. We’ve got a strong candidate and are motivated to fip the house!

  24. Can’t say nothing about my congressman, Aaron Shock. The guy’s been gold on opposing the Obama agenda and hopefully will keep it up and not let the BeltWay Syndrome get to him. As for most of the rest, they better start applying for jobs on K street before November.

  25. My Congressidiot is one of the worst–Maurice Hinchey. He’s stupid and he’s a smirking socialist.

  26. Dick Durbin, Roland Burris, Jesse Jackson, Jr. ‘nuf said.

  27. My concern about Obama, Peloski, Reid grows as their numbers crater ..the more their power vaporizes, the more they’ll overreach separation of powers to game their radical agenda.. power, pen, law of the land..executive orders..andy stern on deficit commission..cra@p! We have to watch, not what they’re saying, but what they’re doing. They have no bottom line.. they just bury it and move it under the radar again and again.

  28. Awww. Ya’ll are being mean, what with Congress
just giving us wittle Baby Stimuwus, all comfy in
    wittle $15 Billion footy-peejamees.

  29. It is scary to have an unconstitutional president. There is a video on quiet gathering of power over internal agencies to conjoin Fed/State control over quasi-military groups.

I have always thought that low ratings and huge swaths of disgruntled population could equate with the very real threat of a revolution.

  30. I am sure the fake summit will bring these numbers even lower. Another lecture from Barry about how badly he wants bipartisamship while he pushes his unipartisan vision for America. Aided and abetted by those sooo useful idiots, Harry and Nancy.

Wonder what they plan on doing for an encore?

  31. Rush just played a set of excerpts from Dem Senators speaking against “reconciliation” back when the Repubs were talking about using it. Quite eloquent and pointed arguments against the use of “reconciliation” which would lead to the enad of all that is.

That was then, this is now.

Of course, back then they, AND THE PRESS, referred to the concept as the NUCLEAR OPTION. Remember that?

Republicans want it = “nuclear option”
    Democrats want it = “reconciliation”
Press calls it = whatever the Dems want.

Reconciliation on health control debate equals the hated and deplored (by Democrats) nuclear option.

  32. Now, at this kabuki show tomorrow, the Republicans should each read a statement given by one of the Dems a few years ago, to point out the gross hypocrisy of using the nuclear option on health control. And one of the so-called leaders should read Obama’s own denouncement of the then “nuclear option” and ask him how that squares today with the threat to now use “reconciliation”.

  33. By my calculations, this puts Congress in a statistical dead heat with jock itch.

  34. …And the day after tomorrow, the Republicans should go viral with these clowns’ statements again and again on the floor of Congress, steps of the Capitol, twit it, blog it..make them the public face of their own hypocrisy, stooped to hijack the consent of the people to prop up the Failure in the White House and their own insatiable self interests.

  35. Not only do we allow the American born children of foreigners (both legal and illegal) to call themselves citizens, but then we allow them to vote (contrary to the 14th amendment). In California alone, there are millions of these pesudo-citizens. Some hold political office. And the pandering, marches on and on. Stay armed, Stay vigilant, Register nothing.

  36. Can’t wait til November. I am CONSERVATIVE voter…however, EVERY single one of my “Representatives” are geting voted out in Iowa, if I have my way.Not a single one of them voted against the PACT act. While I truly enjoy having the rich take away all my methods to save money/survive in an already terrible economy,I think I will just let the supporters of the PACT act retire and live on the money big tobacco paid them to oppress me.
