Wow! Rush Limbaugh just endorsed conservative and tea party candidate Adam Andrzejewski today on his radio show.

Adam is the true conservative in the Illinois gubernatorial race.
Rush Limbaugh just called Republican gubernatorial candidate Adam Andrzejewski the “Scott Brown of Illinois.” Adam experienced a surge in the polls this past weekend and is quickly gaining momentum in the final sprint of the campaign for the Illinois primaries.
Andrzejewski responded to the endorsement this afternoon:
“Holy mackerel!” Adam Andrzejewski said when I called him just now after learning that he’d been endorsed by Rush Limbaugh this afternoon on the nation’s No. 1 radio program.
“We’re gonna win this race . . . That’s got to be the closer,” said Andrzejewski, whose GOP gubernatorial campaign was also reportedly endorsed today by Glenn Beck on the eve of tomorrow’s primary. “It’s a historical election for Illinois. Nothing like this has ever happened here before.”
Adam received former Polish President Lech Walesa’s endorsement on Friday in Chicago.

It seems to me that can only work if he is replacing someone who got away with a seriously criminal act.
Oh wait, he’ll be replacing a Democrat.
exceller commented:
Adam is okay, but tomorrow I’ll be voting for Dan Proft.
No Man commented:
Illinois is bankrupt and possibly beyond resuscitation.
How could that be?
It’s got just about the highest taxes, the best socialist servcies, the most unionized workers, etc.
It just doesn’t make sense . . . that any sane individual would want to try to govern the place.

I haven’t been too in touch with my home state politics for years but if he’s that good, I wish he were running statewide for US Senate instead.

I don’t know how things played out in Boston but Chicago is a different game. The machine controlled local media are barely covering the Republican candidates. Of the very
few times Adam has been mentioned the referred to him as “the Right wing Republican candidate sponsored by the Right wing Tea Party movement.”. Limbaugh’s endorsement will be similiarly used against him. I hope I’m wrong.

Huge Polish population in Chicago.
Carolyn Wolthusen commented:
I heard the audio. The point actually was that people are calling him the Scott Brown of his contest. The other points were that Obama sucks in Chicago and that America is going socialist. That said, it’s a great thing for those of you who support Adam. My local station has a soft spot for Dan Proft, as he was doing political commentary for them. Dan had an interview with them this morning (WLSAM 890) that is on his campaign web site.

Vote for Bill Brady

Who said Scott Brown was conservative?

Proft and Brady will dilute the Andrzejewski vote… think of the end game.
carder commented:
I wish Adam luck. But he shoudn’t get ahead of himself.

And Ryan, Dillard and McKenna are diluting the RINO vote.
penny commented:
Here’s hoping Adam good luck.
Can he clean up the Chicago Democrat cesspool as governor, probably not, but, it would be a beginning in using the state to act against ACORN’s and the SEIU’s election fraud. That is why it matters to have a conservative as governor.

“It just doesn’t make sense . . . that any sane individual would want to try to govern the place.”
Well, somebody’s got to do it… and I’m glad to see that several conservatives and half a dozen pro-lifers (not all perfect, but far more pro-life than your average RINO) were willing to give it a shot.
I don’t think Adam is going to pull this off — and I really don’t think he’s quite ready to be governor so I’m not voting for him — but he does have a lot of potential and I hope he tries again in the future…. maybe he could challenge Durbin in 2014? Or maybe if a GOP governor does get elected, that he gets appointed budget director or something?
McKenna has the money and the grabby TV commercials but really, most conservatives in Illinois can’t stand him because when he was state GOP chairman, the party LOST every single statewide office, including losing to Blago in 2006, even after it became evident that Blago was seriously ethically challenged. McKenna’s “ship” sank on his watch, and I really hope he does NOT win. Any of the other GOP candidates, however, would be OK with me.
Bob commented:
Rush did not endorse this guy. Listen to the clip again. Rush doesn’t endorse people very often.
RedBeard commented:
As an ex-Chicagoland dweller, I wish Adam well. He’ll need the good wishes to win the primary, a lot more good wishes to defeat the Dem machine, and boatloads of good wishes to try to govern that rotten state government.

Adam’s logo is almost like BO’s, but has the crescent on the right facing stars, very Islamic?
The Watcher commented:
Sad that Rush would do this. Compared to Proft Andrzejewski doesn’t really match up IMHO. Anyone is better than Quinn.
The real test would be to see if Hughes can upset RHINO Mark Kirk. The establishment conservatives have been pushing for Kirk pretty hard, Jim Edgar is endorsing him.
In addition, there is infighting between the Southern Illinois Tea Party Patriots and the Will Country Tea Party. It seems that there is an underhanded effort to create division within the tea party establishment and hijack the message. Some of this is also going on in the national movement.
With respect to Illinois we will not see a Scott Brown candidate unless Kirk is defeated and that looks to be a stretch.
The dynamics of the governor’s race is a bit different. This spot had been held by the GOP for years. Ryan destroyed it, Blagojevich made Ryan look good and Pat Quinn is just as bad, if not worse. Any candidate that stands in stark contrast to these three stooges should be able to pull off a win.
The Watcher commented:
In a second more close read of Jim’s article I have to take exception with penning Andrzejewski as the true conservative just because Rush mentioned his name. This isn’t the litmus test.
From personal experience Proft made himself available when Andrzejewski ran away from interviews that asked tough questions. Perhaps it was bad handling by his staff but that makes me just as leery.
Proft is the true conservative here and hopefully he will win despite the latest spotlight put on Andrzejewski.
Either candidate will be better than any of the others in the race.
Go conservatives!
