Talk about sucking the oxygen from a room full of democrats…
Rising Star Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) admits that “Washington doesn’t have all the answers.”

Meanwhile… The Times of London says that Obama bores America into submission.
…When he’s not being snitty.

Jim, am I dreaming or did the Republicans actually win this battle today?
jdflorida commented:
The Republicans won and they won big.
Fr. Steve commented:
The Republicans came to talk about the issues and have done a great job. The Dems just want to ram this through.

Obama is a deciever. Every time he says he will save money, that means he will give the states a dollar he collects and mandate the come up with the other 25 cents to settle a bill. The states will be told what to spend and the feds will cheat or covering them.
Tyranny commented:
In response to McCain’s sober reconciliation comments, Obama just said that the American people are not “interested” in political process. Oh really. What incredible contempt. He’s basically saying we’re too stupid to know how he’s going to ram this through.
Patman77 commented:
Dems getting cooked, looking dumb.
Obama’s solution: change the topic.
An American joke. But the joke is on us.
November can’t get here any sooner…

The Times of London is only half correct. Obama is certainly an insufferable bore. However, most Americans are not going to submit and go quietly away. Speaking only for myself, I cannot remember being more galvanized against a sitting president.
Rhoda R commented:
Got that right, Major Kong.
bill-tb commented:
Somebody needs to do up the video of Obama calling Americans stupid and not interested in Senate rules …
Robert commented:
Sen. Dodd just used an example of a small businessman who changed things (small business pooling) himself, without the intervention of the federal government.
Jeff commented:
I am sure that this will not change anything. Nothing.

I hope somebody has been keeping track of the time on this sham.
I’ve listened to most of it and my estimate is that Obama got a full 40% of the time for himself. another 35% went to the democrats and 25% to the Republicans.
He took full advantage of the time by cutting off and rebutting each Republican speaker, and chastised them for talking points, etc. He never cut off a democrat or reminded them to avoid talking points as they lined up with one sob story after another.
Republicans did very well today.
pat commented:
This did accomplish something. Finally anyone watching CNN was able to hear the Republican points, which, until day were only heard/seen on “right wing” sites and radio.
If anything, FEWER will approve of the bill now. Ryan and others did an EXCELLENT job today.
The verbal and non verbal clues from Mr. Obama and Ms. Pelosi spoke volumes. Watching Nancy skirm when the VP spoke was great fun; she was aloplectic when he got off talking points and nodding/whispering “yes” when he was on script.

Ryan looked/sounded great here. A Republican win today. Maybe BO knows it and wants to end this thing sooner rather than later.
But the Times of London comment: He “bores” us. Thanks, Major Kong,#9. I was mulling over the idea that evil is boring…and you got it right.
pm commented:
Fred Luntz had a great group of 11 Dem voters and 13 Rep voters on Hannity today.
Overwhelmingly, they want to scrap what’s been done and start over again. They’re begging to be heard.
They’re talking to you, Dems. They now see you don’t listen to Republicans.
Oh, and btw, it’s a big “Trust” issue, too. You guys lost that one a long time ago, with BO leading the way.
Liars are losers.

worth it to see how he clearly destroys the Dems. Oh, my.

Breaking news:
USA Olympic gold medal winning down hill racer Lindsey Vonn has been stripped of her recently won Olympic gold medal by President Barack Obama.
President Obama is claiming the gold medal for himself by saying “Nobody has gone down hill faster than I have!”
