Rep. Paul Ryan told FOX News Sunday today that Nancy Pelosi does not have the votes for health care buy is good at backroom deals and muscling through the votes.

  1. Translation: Pelosi is good at blackmailing and threatening people into doing what she wants.

I can’t wait until the day that shriveled, dried up, bag of Botox gets hers.

  2. Welcome to the new democratic platform:
What cannot be brought or threatened will be ridiculed and marginalized.

  3. -amazing how effective a threat to their children/grandchildren +/or promise of a billion dollars in their bank accounts might be.

  4. Now is the time for calls, letters, faxes and emails as you prefer to your Senators and Congressman. This is especially important if your elected representatives are Democrats.

    Be polite. Explain your reasoning.

  5. My Rep. is Keith Ellison and Klobachar and Franken are my Senators; they’re all puppets who will vote however they are told.

  6. Devine.Intervention.Please!!

  7. If the Repubs hold the line, they will give the Blue Dog Democrats and other fellow travelers the cover they need.

Remember, the objective here (even for the Liberal Weiners) is to do somebody’s idea of what’s best for the country. One view is to fine-tune the system that we have (very popular) and the other is to made radical changes (fun for the naiive, but tending to result in unintended consequences).

Radical experiments are for the states. We have fifty laboratories in which to take flyers. The national legislation, however, has to fit the circumstances of all the states, plus the territories.

I personally think that the single step of making the already-available insurance plans portable across state lines and from employer to employer would do wonders, and could well obviate most of the rest of the measures.

I personally think that the objective should be to have a proliferation of relatively small, more-or-less local insurance companies would provide for a more competitive market, more flexible plans, more agile and consumer-friendly companies, and more consumer benefit at reduced cost.

We have already seen that very large institutions on the scale of our country are ungovernable, clumsy, slow, wasteful, and subject to diversion from their original purpose if they are made vulnerable to political decision-makers.

We don’t need a handful of enormous mortgage and health insurers, or banks. We need a proliferation of smaller, more nimble entities.

  8. So, Nancy thinks it is more important to win the vote on Obamacare than it is for the Democrats to remain in power? Or, does she believe that We the People will re-elect them even if it passes or maybe not throw enough of them out so that they remain in power?

The way I see it, they are going to be toast this Novemeber due to what they have done to this Country over the past year. People are tired of their lies, distortions and deceipt.

  9. The far Left has convinced themselves that Americans are mad with government because he HASN’T passed health care reform.

    This whole thing disgusts me.

I feel like we have left the teenagers in charge.

  10. I can’t believe the nerve of this dictator–I can’t hardly wait until they are all gone. I pray he doesn’t get a second term. Why, why would demo rats want a 40% tax? I think we should impeach them all–get them out of the white house….they are all perverts, , gangster type incompetent slugs. They are trash.

  11. Pelosi got those cap and trade votes last summer. The DEM leadership still had them fooled that this tea party business was just a small group of nazis making trouble, a freak show if you will. No real power to affect elections.

Then came NJ, VA, and we almost pulled of NY-23.

    Then came the Brown bombshell.

They know its for real now, and I doubt all of them want to have to be going back home this summer defending their votes on Obama care, cap and trade, AND the pork-u-lus bill.

By all means though, if you want to ram it through go right on ahead.

The difference between Obamacare and Medicare/Social Security is those programs were popular. Obamacare is not popular and never will. GOP will be able to guy it during reconciliation, then repeal by 2012. The repeal will have popular support
