Reid Tells BIPARTISAN Summit – It's OK to Pass Obamacare Without the GOP

Nice bipartisanship, Harry!
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told attendees today at the bipartisan health care summit that it’s OK to pass Obamacare without the GOP.
Breitbart reported:

Majority Leader Harry Reid maintains Democrats have the right to push their health care plan through Congress without Republican support.

At a bipartisan health care summit Thursday, Reid rejected Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander’s call for a promise from Democrats that they wouldn’t use an unusual move to sidestep a Republican filibuster.

Reid says that process isn’t the only way to pass the health care overhaul.

I honestly don’t think they have the votes in the House; that’s why they need the Republican’s help. With that help, more Blue Dogs might sign on in the House. The Senate – with reconciliation in effect – isn’t the problem.

In the end, the federally funded abortions will be the main sticking point and today becomes a Kubuki dance, as predicted.

If the Democrats had the votes, they would have passed it already, but they don’t, so they make it all about the Republicans not wanting to compromise or work with them and that is why they can’t pass it……it is a whole lot of bull crap. The Democrats are divided on the plan, and it is really about a whole lot of in-fighting.
