Prove It!… Obama Whines at Business Roundtable- "I'm Not a Socialist"

Barack Obama whined at a business roundtable today claiming he is not a socialist. The fact that he wants to redistribute wealth may have something to do with it. The fact that he surrounds himself with fellow Marxists, socialists and radicals may also have something to do with it, too.
CNBC reported:
President Barack Obama launched a vigorous defense of his economic agenda Wednesday, rejecting critics who call his policies “socialism” and insisting he aims to boost U.S. competitiveness abroad.
Speaking to the Business Roundtable, which groups some of the country’s top chief executives, Obama called for support of his administration’s efforts to overhaul financial regulation and create jobs.
Obama’s remarks were set against a backdrop of unease in the business community about his economic and budget policies as well as his legislative drive for healthcare, energy and financial regulatory reform.
“Contrary to the claims of some of my critics, I am an ardent believer in the free market,” Obama said in prepared remarks.

I hope he didn’t tell them that if we inflate our tires and get tune-ups, we won’t need to drill for oil. Or that blowing a trillion dollars on special interests saved the country from a depression.

Of course the internet is their greatest obstacle. That was the point of that exercise last fall of collecting up the email addresses and websites of dissenters.
If things get bad enough in the polls before next fall, they may just get desperate enough to use their enemies list and make a move to shut down some of the speech on the intertubes in the same of some national emergencies.

Bernie Sanders in the Senate is a socialist. Obama’s voting record in the Senate was to the left of Sanders.
His whore of a mother was a communist, his father was an America hating communist, his 2 political mentors (Ayers/Marshall Davis) were/are communists. His “reverend” is a radical America hater, The US Communist party loves him, as do ACORN and the Workers party. Those organizations are not “organizing” for “socialism”. They want something else.
When you hear him lament the inadequacies of the US Constitution, its because he’s itching to get rid of it and impose his policies by fiat.
so I think he can get up there and with a clear conscience say he is not a “socialist” because he is not.

You know, I can see where Bill Maher is pissed off at Obama. The far left thought they were electing the Ronald Reagan equivalent of a Progressive. In some ways(i.e. charisma) they have, but Obama has one major flaw. He doesn’t try to sell progressive(i.e. socialist/marxist) policies for what they actually are. Obama lies, is evasive, combative when cornered, depends on gimicks, smoke and mirrors. He tries to pretend he is not a marxist.
Obama claims to be a pragmatist and centrist with his right hand while pushing a far left agenda with his left hand.
Instead of converting people he is driving them away.
Reagan wore his conservatism on his sleeve. He didn’t run from his ideology, he embraced it. Reagan didn’t pretend to be a liberal with his left hand to appease his enemies while pushing conservatism with his right hand. Ideology aside, this is why there is such a hunger for Reagan. What he believed and what he said was consistent with his actions.

Obama is figuring he might not be able to get Americans to target Americans, so he is making sure an international police force who would have no problem targeting Americans have free reign to do as they please. I would imagine the latter executive order is to make sure the American forces either do not get in the way or become part of the package.

Yet he will not use free market principles to implement health care policies, he instead proposes a regime of state control.
Instead of adhering to free market principles, he has implemented the huge state intervention into financial markets, funneling borrowed money to banks that engaged in reckless and risky practices, while at the same time forcing taxpayers to pay off the resulting increased federal debt.
In all circumstances, he favors the intervention of various levels of state coercion on behalf of unions.
All energy initiatives, including his own “green jobs” stuffing insulation into hot attics and caulking windows, flounder under the state bureaucracy of rules and regulations. The private market is kept bottled up and unable to explore and produce.
The same day he makes this absurd statement, his political party is bringing the weight of Congressional political pressure upon a free-market practitioner who is soundly besting his own union-heavy manufacturers in that free marketplace.
So, either he is a blatant liar, and doesn’t believe in free markets, or he is a total hypocrite, and doesn’t practice what he believes.

I don’t see Barack Obama as a socialist OR a communist. Everyone I’ve ever met who might fit those descriptions could, while terribly wrong and generally blind to the evil they espoused, offer up some philosophical reasoning behind their position. Obama has not, and cannot.
He is merely a prissy, pissy, petty, prancing, preening peacock of a President, reading from a script and luxuriating in the dulcet tones of his own voice.

Here’s what is different: You don’t have to seize a steel manufacturer to control that means of production. Instead, you can collude with the union and you require the company to buy permission to use energy to make steel, permission that you make expensive and almost impossible to get. But, no, you didn’t seize the business. The shareholders are free to decide how to run it and to freely trade their shares.
