Really? Or, was Coakley the joke and Obama was the punchline?
Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) told reporters today that Senator Scott Brown’s candidacy was a joke.
The Hill reported:

Sen. Scott Brown’s (R-Mass.) election has been shown to be “a joke,” the son of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) said Thursday.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) castigated Brown for having pushed to be sworn in ahead of schedule to permanently fill the Senate seat left vacant by the congressman’s father’s death in August.

“Brown’s whole candidacy was shown to be a joke today when he was sworn in early in order to cast his first vote as an objection to Obama’s appointment to the NLRB,” Kennedy said Thursday.

Here’s another joke…
6 in 10 Rhode Island voters think Patrick Kennedy is the joke.
Projo reported:

John Loughlin is not named in the poll, but he may have fared far better than the elected officials who were.

Nearly 6 in 10 registered voters in the First Congressional District would consider another candidate or vote to replace Loughlin’s opponent, U.S. Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy, according to a WPRI-TV, Channel 12 survey released Thursday night.

The poll offers a snapshot of an abysmal political climate for Democrats that could present serious problems for the eight-term incumbent Kennedy, according to pollster Joseph Fleming.

“It looks like it could be a very competitive race, which we haven’t seen in many years,” Fleming said, noting that Election Day is still nine months away. “I think people, right now, are really looking at who’s in office, and they’re considering somebody else.”

Now that’s funny.

  1. His mad about the millions the no vote on Becker for the NLRB is going to cost the Dems. Glad to hear their pain. Grow up, Paddy boy, the real joke would have been on workers denied their right to a secret ballot vote.

between GP & BHG, nothing much
left to say that hasn’t been said..

    are still moving somewhere)

  3. Yeah Patrick Kennedy is a joke. Is he the one with alcohol problems?

  4. From sea to shining sea, the Democrat party is a dangerous joke. From Pelosi (the hairy one) and Boxer in the Redwood forests, to Schumer (the schmuck) on the New York skyway. From Al Franken(stein) to Barney Frank(enstein). And, oh yes, let’s not forget Arlen Spector, Pat Kennedy, Maxine Waters and all the rest, here on Gilligan’s Isle. Here’s hoping they get buried in a landslide come November or they will destroy America. Just say NO to socialism.

  5. Limousine Liberal Patrick Kennedy is the joke of the party – when he is not enrolled in a rehab clinic. I take that back, Patrick Kennedy is a joke even when he is in a rehab clinic.

  6. “Hi, I’m Patrick, and I’m a Kennedy.
Welcome to the Hyannis meeting of Kennedys Anonymous.
I’d like a group conscience on the following motion, to be made public:
‘We’re a pathetic collection of mobbed-up, alcoholic, philandering dope addicts, and we’re just gonna STFU from now on.’
    Thanks for listening.”

  7. This from a guy who puts on his
    underwear each morning chanting,
“Brown in back, yellow in front,
brown in back, yellow in front.”

  8. Patrick Kennedy still thinks the masses should just shut up so liberals like him can lead. He can characterize elections as a joke all he wants but what does that say about him holding office?

  9. PK could have just as easily said,”I’m an out-of-touch elitist politician”.

    Same message to Americans.

We have too many “slow learners” holding office.

  10. Speakin’ of jokes.

Do you know what the definition of a “cryin’ shame” is?

A planeload of Kennedy’s going down with one empty seat on it.

  11. Just one question. Was Patrick Kennedy sober when he said that?

  12. Patrick Kennedy is a classic example of the genetics being watered down over the generations. Outside of his privileged element he’s a nobody, just as Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg – outside of Hyannis – is a nobody. Sadly, she didn’t get the looks OR the brains.

Both have embarrassed themselves, their political party and the family name. In that respect, they fit right in!

It must be comforting to know your Father was famous for “making waitress sandwiches and being the famous swimmer at Chappaquiddick” or that your Mother wasn’t woman enough to keep your Father from sneaking Marilyn Monroe into his boudoir, and may have even shared her with your Uncle!

It has been said that when God made the Kennedy’s, He lowered the bar. Probably so that Ted could start drinking at a younger age.

  13. PK is a shining example not of genetics but of the hubris and arrogance on display to the American public. This is why they are getting spanked hard in the elections. The “progressives) have taken to showing us what they TRUELY believe and America is scared s##tless at thier vision for Amerika.
Power is thier birth right and your (WE) are not smart enough to take care of ourselves. The long knives are out and we are coming for you dirty ba$tards that wipe your butt with the constitution. political death and the Joke is on you PK.

  14. Speaking of useless politicians…

    How’s That Al Franken Going?

  15. wish people would get off this thing about kennedys they are all a joke

  16. Is there some reason that the Kennedy’s cannot find employment in the private sector? With such towering intellect, productive jobs should be easy to come by.

  17. Interesting that a Kennedy would call a fellow public official (and duly elected Senator) a joke.

This of course is after the his state reworked the law that THEY enacted to bring in Kirk anyway.

I’m seeing quite a few punch lines to this joke.

  18. Hmmm, a democrat calling a republican a “joke”. Really?

Why don’t we establish a benchmark for what constitutes a “joke”, shall we?

    Curtain Call?

  19. One must remember: Rhode Island is a cesspool; Patrick Kennedy is a turd. Therefore,
    a perfect match.

Flush ‘em all into the Atlantic.

  20. It’s a long way from Camelot. If this dope wasn’t a Kennedy, he’d be completely ignored.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    He’s a kennedy, isn’t he? There’s your answer.

  22. Speaking of jokes, have you seen this?

No one is buying Obama junk anymore

In the store, we went up to the remainders table to checkout the bargain calendars, since we always get our calendars in February when they are about $1 or so (scored a great Studs & Spurs cowboys 12-monther, thank you very much…Yee-ha!), and were surprised to see everything Obama-related 75% off. There were many books on Michelle that were cheaper than toilet paper — the single ply, not the tushie pampering good stuff. They had heaps of “Obama paper dolls”, which were intended for children, we guess, or sad gay men who collect Marie Osmond dolls and might need something crappy made of paper to make said collection look cool in comparison. Borders still sells those two “memoirs” William Ayers wrote and tacked Dr. Utopia’s name on for full price, but everything else in the Obamaverse was marked down to less than what it cost to print the stuff up.

Apparently, this is happening all over the country.

The “Obama Store” in Union Station has closed, because no one wants any of this junk anymore.

If an “Obama Store” can’t make it in Washington, D.C., and in Chicago everything related to Dr. Utopia is going for pennies on the dollar, perhaps America has really woken up to the fact that the person in the Oval Office right now, and his “fashion icon” wife, really aren’t the people the media claimed they were…and they were never, in fact, deserving of any of the praise, attention, and mania they were so lavished.

  23. The poster boy for MADD thinks Mr. Brown election was a joke;hello you drunken sot-you need to give up the booze and retire from politics.

  24. Paddy apparently doesn’t realize that his dad was sworn in on the day after his election, without any delay at all.

  25. Patrick Kennedy = 1,000,000% failure.

    heard about that.. thumbsup

  27. If things had been played out the fair way, Norm Coleman would be in the Senate, not Al Franken.

However what is really a poor joke is that the Dems in fact prevented Brown from being sworn in within a short period of time. It is not like the vote was so close that it would be challenged. He had every right to demand to be seated.

Kirk had no right to be in the Senate after the 19th January when the election took place and Scott Brown was elected to that Senate seat.

  28. Sobering up may be hard for Patrick, who takes after his likker-soaked daddy in that respect. Maybe it’s why he kept repeatedly talking about “Marcia” Coakley when he was being interviewed by the MSM just before MARTHA Choakley blew the race through the same kind of arrogance, stupidity, and total personality disorder that li’l Paddy Kennedy, the DUI champ of Capitol Hill/Congress League, manifests on any occasion you thrust a mike under his pie hole.

Or maybe the combination of meds and alcohol made him just slur the name “Martha” into “Marcia.” Deval Patrick, the schlub of a guv, ain’t much better than this moron Kennedy dude, who may just be the last of that moniker to have served in Congress. If he keeps slurring insults at Repubs like Brown, stick a fork in this oinker.

  29. I find it the height of irony that Pat Kennedy had to carpetbag to R. I. to get elected and now denigrates the voters of Mass. The people of Mass know the Kennedy’s better than anyone. And, subsequently, can’t stand them.

  30. What was funniest to me is that the Atty. General of Mass – a Democrap, naturally – said that Scott Brown MUST vote like Teddy would … because it’s still Ted Kennedy’s seat! Amazing streak of insanity. That murdering Kennedy is dead – and it’s still HIS seat? Go Scott41.
