Earlier today during a Congressional Committee hearing Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood advised owners of Toyota cars to stop driving them.
Toyota’s stock dropped sharply immediately after LaHood gave his advice.
A couple hours later Lahood said he misspoke and retracted his previous statements.
Oops.
We’re in the best of hands.

Sorry to see RINO Mr LaHood is a tool for the Chicago Mafia. This entire episode is nothing but an attack by the Obama Administration on non-Unionized Toyota on behalf of his fellow thugs in the UAW, as well as on behalf of President Obama’s Government Motors. I write as one who has in recent years bought American, by the way.

Don’t think for a minute that this isn’t on purpose or planned. This is pure Alinsky on a global scale, demonizing and polarizing an enemy. This is about GM and the UAW failing and needing to be propped up again and what better way to do this than to demonize the competition and manipulating the marketplace and buyer and tipping them towards the favored son.
This is really scary stuff.

At least he didn’t call Toyota owners “retards.”
This is supposed to be the administration that communicates well. I’ve never seen such a bunch of careless dimwits.

You cannot trust ANYONE in this administration or Congress. Not one of them.
Toyota should sue the government for defamation.

UAW and GM no doubt behind the push to get yotas off the road.

Every time I hear LaHood’s name,
all I can think about is the villian

That’s grounds for an Anti-Trust Lawsuit from Toyota.

This is a totally orchestrated attack on Toyota by the Obama administration. The UAW and Democrats OWN General Motors. They’ve created this little “recall” issue as a way to damage a top competitor – Toyota. Watch out Honda, Nissan, et. al. you may be next.

Couple this with Gubment Motors’ $1,000 offer to Toyota owners for switching to GM.
Transparency at its finest.
BertoGem commented:
Do these Congress-people have to stick their noses into absolutely everything? They are worse than in-laws. On the other hand, if the’re kept busy debating chimpanzees and Toyotas they may not have time to screw up health care and taxes.
Ladue Pundit commented:
Oh, and how, you may ask, does Gubment Motors have the budget to pay $1,000 per buyer?
Hmmm, better go look in the mirror, taxpayers.
While you’re looking, ask yourself how you are going to come up with the Congressional pay hike so richly deserved by our esteemed (sarc off) pantloads in Washington.

Should we investigate Ray LaHood under the RICO statutes or as a domestic terrorist?

I love seeing these global warming embracing morons so proud of driving their stupid looking Priuses – yes those proud union supporters driving their foreign Toyotas and acting so smug. This is such rich justice.
