It ought to be a great hit with the progressives. After all, this is part of their history.
A new online Game Show-Docudrama will allow viewers to vote for which cast member gets to have an abortion… Unreal. The show follows three actresses pretending to have unwanted pregnancies. Viewers decide who gets to have the abortion.
STACLU reported this from The Washington Post:
Think Jerry Springer meets Oprah meets “American Idol” meets Dr. Oz meets … America’s conscience. … The idea for the “show,” which launches Monday, was inspired, of all things, by Barack Obama’s commencement address at Notre Dame University last year. When the president said he wanted “to find ways to communicate about a workable solution to the problem of unintended pregnancies,” executive producer Dominic Iocco conceived “Bump.”
…Each of the three women ostensibly selected from a “pool” of 300 is pregnant under varying circumstances with which viewers are expected to relate. To be clear, no one is really pregnant. The actors are all young and white, despite the fact that blacks have abortions at five times the rate of whites. The doctor, however, is African American — a man who combines the reassuring manner of Marcus Welby with the ethereal wisdom of Bagger Vance.
Katie, who is married, is the most appealing by virtue of what seems to be a genuine moral conflict. “Once I make it, I can’t go back,” she says. Her dilemma is further complicated by the fact that her pregnancy is more recent than her husband’s departure for Iraq.
Denise is a ditzy child-woman who loves red candies and picks all the red Starbursts from the bowl at the doctor’s office. Already the mother of two, she is also a victim of domestic violence. A “whatever” kind of gal, she’s mostly interested in the financial help promised by the show.
Finally, the loathsome Hailey and her icky boyfriend, Jason, just want to get on the reality show. They’re the party crashers at the abortion clinic.
What a vile group of people.

Want to bet if Focus on the Family was behind this “game show” to exemplify the moral depravity of abortion, the libs would be up in arms about allowing this on the airwaves? I can just see Gloria Allred rushing to a microphone imploring ” . . although I have not actually seen this show, its broadcast is an outrage!”
Militant Conservative commented:
If this is true and airs we are all cooked. This is the equivelent of the gladiator ring during Rome. This is why Rome faded and was doomed. No Moral compass.

Does revolting, disgusting and obscene begin to describe this? I’m thinking there must be a better word, but it eludes me right now. A game show about death. The depth of depravity has been reached.

Pray for this country now.

If this actually airs, it would be interesting to note if it follows Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger’s, intended ethnic genocide

I believe the saying “art imitates life” is appropriate here…when we banter about the fate of a baby ON A GAME SHOW, and decide if it’s convenient…or not, illustrates a depravity that is unprecedented in this society.
I thank the birthmothers of my two adopted boys (now young men). I am eternally grateful they decided to bring their babies into the world and make the decision for adoption. They are the real heroines in this type of debate. Not the fictitious nonsense we have on display in this instance.
Real life is hard. But if you make the right choices, I believe you will be blessed. Making decisions based on selfish desires tend to boomerang on you later. Maybe that’s something you learn in middle age and you can reflect on the events in your life. Sometimes the events that are not what you planned play an important role in your character development and path in your life.
But then again, I guess a baby can be inconvenient. A human being can sure get in your way. /sarc

Hey! Better yet, lets have a game show with three old people in varying degrees of decline.
Say, alzheimers, emphezema and….incontinence.
With different levels of insurance, both public and private, with different strains put upon their families.
Then lets have panelists determine who gets euthanized!! Neat!
Pray harder, folks. We’re gonna need it.
BigJ commented:
And yes, definitely pray for America. Even if that show doesn’t air, our country needs as many prayers as it can get.

What kind of people make sport out of murder ? Well those of the lowest evolved status like head hunters, islamist zealots, the nazi SS, the Khmer Rouge and Hollywood producers.

You don’t have to imagine; they are in people’s faces all the time trying to make something sacred and beautiful out of abortion.

Somewhere, Paddy Chayefsky is chuckling; such prescience is really amazing.

Assuming this is not a scam and actually does see the light of day, the next show from Iocco will probably be “Death Panel”, where viewers get to decide which of three elderly contestants will get an assisted suicide instead of medical treatment.
Kitty commented:
Margaret Sanger promoted eugenics, to get rid of ‘undesirables,’ using the same ‘unwanted pregnancies’ reason.

… great and are they going to feature a Part II, follow up segment highlighting the counseling these women are going to need? It would be telling indeed if they showed the rest of the story – the deep, ragged damage abortion does to one’s psyche and soul.
And in addition to the clergyman and/or therapist how about casting a second physician: the post procedure specialist that many of the “cast members” will undoubtably be seeking out in the future to address a host of related female health/fertility issues.
But then, I suppose that would be a little too much “reality” for these sick, individuals.
wanumba commented:
Oh! Troll television.
Elly commented:
Great….and will they be doing a follow up, Part II, featuring post procedure counceling for each “cast member” addressing the very real and very damaging, long term emotional and spiritual consequences of abortion?
And while they are at it, how about casting a second physician to play the part of the specialist these women erm cast members will undoubtably be seeking out at a later time to treat a variety of female health and fertility issues.
But then, I suppose that would show a little too much “reality” for these sick individuals…

Just what kind of dope are they smoking in Hollywood these days? Can you say YUCK? This show, if there were any sponsors stupid enough to pay for it, would not be entertaining, funny, uplifting, educational or watched by anyone. All I can say for the companies that might be considering sponsoring this horrible thing – RUN AWAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! If not, I’ll be the first (of many) to start boycotting any & all products of sponsors of such a show……….and for sure, the boycott will go VIRAL on the net.

Dwayne \\\"the canoe guy\\\" commented:
If they are using actors, how is this a ‘reality’ show at all? I watched it & it is just poorly acted theater. I am curious if it will bring up some good questions like how to have these women deliver their babies safely and put them up for adoption.
One ‘actress’ says she has had 3 abortions already. That right there should open up a dialogue of ‘Safe, legal, & rare’ is not rare at all but a mindset of oops-contraception.
Kenny Solomon commented:
Jim, I put this on my page at RedState…… credited you and GP.

You’re damn right all commentary is being screened……… eliminating any and all opposition to the show, it’s topic and of course, the complete desensitizing of people towards killing innocent life before birth.
The next step, of course, will be ‘contestants’ who are actually pregnant and…….you can guess the rest.
What have we come to as a people ? Does NOTHING matter anymore ?
Even actors in a completely setup environment of total political pandering and promoting death are acceptable today ?
Every single person involved in this should be taken to task in as public a manner as possible……. and God won’t even help ‘em if these pieces of trash try and do this “game show” for real.

An aborition game show online? I wonder if this is real. Probably not. If this is though, can they do my idea? Hear this pitch:
10 people are selected from diffrent ethnic backgrounds. Each competes in a degrading, racially derived contest. Every round, a loser gets “cleansed”, and is sprayed off the show into the parking lot by a fire hose, where men in S.S. uniforms throw the loser into a prison camp. At the end of the show, the winner gets to decide how to “execute” each person in the camp, with bonus money being granted for particularly humilating acts of cleansing.
Its no big deal right? Just good clean fun. Get it? Clean? HAHAHA!

So you get to choose the child you think is less worthy to be born or choose the child whose parents would be better off without him or her?
Maybe once the child is chosen, they will show the murder on 3D ultrasound and watch the baby fight for its life too.
The Romans used to enjoy watching Christians be fed to the lions, so where does this put the conscience of the viewers of this show at this time in history. I’d venture to say, it is on a pretty even scale.

Wow, whatever happened to journalism? Does anyone research or read up about something before posting an angry knee-jerk reaction? The sentence you wrote “a new online Game Show-Docudrama will allow viewers to vote for which cast member gets to have an abortion” is completely false – irresponsibly so – and a simple visit to the site you condemn would have shown you so. This is not a “game show” and there are no votes involved. It’s an attempt to bring ‘pro-lifers,’ ‘pro-choicers,’ and those who have never thought twice about abortion together to discuss abortion – is that so wrong? The first poster was right on – Gloria Allred might have said “although I have not actually seen this show, its broadcast is an outrage.” You all are doing the exact same thing.
