“The president’s bill doesn’t bring down health care costs for anyone in the country.”
House Minority Whip Eric Cantor says the latest version of Obamacare is a “non-starter.”
Cantor is very good with the media. He always comes across calm and confident even with horribly biased reporters.
Good Morning America reported:
House Minority Whip Eric Cantor today expressed little hope for bipartisan agreement on a health care bill when Republicans and Democrats meet Thursday in a joint summit called by President Obama.
The Republican representative from Virginia rejected the bill released by the White House Monday, which proposed fixes to the Senate health care bill passed Christmas Eve and retained many of the same measures.
“This bill is a non-starter,” Cantor said on “Good Morning America” today. “The American people right now are the losers in all of this because the signals coming out of the White House don’t bode well for positive health care reform.”
“The president insists on bringing back a bill that the American people have resoundingly rejected,” he said.
The White House challenged the GOP this morning to offer a single health care proposal and post its legislation.
In response, the White House challenged the GOP to post its legislation…
The GOP’s legislation has been available at healthcare.gop.gov for months.

The unipartisan drive continues. The lips are moving , but it is the actions that must be watched. Barry wants nothing less than nationalization of everything he can before he gets shut down by the fall elections. There will be zero bipartisan effort from Harry and Nancy, or Barry. Change? HA!

It is just grandstanding on the part of the Democrats to point out to American people that the Republicans do not have any desire to work with them….like the Democrats had any desire whatsoever to work with the Republicans in any shape or form anyhow, but that doesn’t matter, because the Democrats are going to say, “See, I told you so.”

by the Congressional Budget Office
“[P]reparing a cost estimate requires very detailed specifications of numerous provisions, and the materials that were released this morning do not provide sufficient detail on all of the provisions. Therefore, CBO cannot provide a cost estimate for the proposal without additional detail, and, even if such detail were provided, analyzing the proposal would be a time-consuming process that could not be completed this week.”

The ignorant people on the sinking ship U.S.S Obama need to be told the truth before it’s too late.

Well, to my mind, Cantor wasn’t strong enough with the Biased George.
His first two questions were an attempt to have the audience believe the Republicans have offered no plan. That’s been their lie for months, and was repeated over the weekend by other Dems.
Cantor should have emphatically pointed out how *misleading* those questions are – and ultimately *unfair to the American people*. He could have given the website where the plan can be viewed. And emphasized it’s been available for 6 months.
This has been really annoying. I know I listen to this stuff more than the average guy and even I haven’t heard the Republicans defending themselves against the lies.
The latest tired game is trying to paint the Republicans as the party of “No.” Like that’s a bad thing…
His last question was, “So that’s a ‘No’?”
Throw it right back at him: “We’ll be speaking for the American people, George, and more than a few of them want us to say, “Hell No.”
This is war and these guys don’t know how to fight, as far as I’m concerned.

I like Canter, but he wasn’t nearly strong enough. I’d like to see him a little more decisive, too. Not No, but Hell No!!
