A majority of Americans say the current government is a threat to citizens’ rights.
CNN Politics reported
A majority of Americans think the federal government poses a threat to rights of Americans, according to a new national poll.
Fifty-six percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday say they think the federal government’s become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. Forty-four percent of those polled disagree.
The survey indicates a partisan divide on the question: only 37 percent of Democrats, 63 percent of Independents and nearly 7 in 10 Republicans say the federal government poses a threat to the rights of Americans.
According to CNN poll numbers released Sunday, Americans overwhelmingly think that the U.S. government is broken – though the public overwhelmingly holds out hope that what’s broken can be fixed.
But, democrats will still try to ram Obamacare through Congress anyway.

You mean the dead WHITE presidents and founders are correct. Big government threatens the liberties of all men. As far as comming outta the LSM don’t get your hopes up. Just a ruse. Even a blind pig finds a truffle now and then. They do this now and then to show how “fair and unbiased” they are.

keep telling you they have to because they already snuck in trillions
of dollars worth of ObamaCare part 1 in the Stimulus Package back
in February 09 and it will be worthless w/out part 2.. *sigh*
(actually, from what i’ve read of part 1, my hunch is that most of what’s supposedly in part 2 was already passed in part 1 anyways.. ie: death panels per se..)

I have never seen a poll like this in my life. Obama may not care about his party or his country but he does care about himself. As a wannabe dictator he has failed big time. How soon before he does a mea culpa and blames the Healthcare debacle on Congress?
sandy commented:
Obama likes to look cool but what we saw yesterday was a man who can’t stand to be in the same room with anyone who disagrees with him. His Boris Karloff stare was priceless. Pretty soon he will be squealing like a stuck pig blaming everyone but himself for the mess he created. Pride Goeth Before The Fall…

CNN had only 30,000 viewers one night last week. Their support for Obama has been hazardous to their bottom line. If its Profits or the Prez I think Profit wins hands down.

There was a time when the simple truth that government was a “necessary evil” and inherently the enemy of the rights of man was taught in our schools as a fundamental underpinning of the reason for the separation of powers in our Constitution (amongst other things built into our Constitution and Bill of Rights which protect the people from the never-ending appetite of government).
Sigh.

[The plan reflects the belief that our schools need to be nudged by "choice architects" (pps 10 and 40) to steer educational choices for our children. The document was drafted on the basic tenet of this belief held by Cass Sunstein. This is the recurring theme of the Obama administration. We, the people, are ill prepared to handle decisions for ourselves and our children. We need the "nudging" by the government for correct choices.]

Of course, the percentage of Democrats was lower. It’s the party of the Section-Eight parasite, the sort of person who pays no taxes but gets government handouts out the wazoo.
There was a photo in today’s WSJ of people in Chicago chanting for HIGHER taxes. Take a look at it, and you’ll see which demographic I’m referring to.

[As farewell presents go, few lawmakers get to redistribute an entire state's wealth based on race. That was the send-off for Representative Neil Abercrombie, who is retiring this week to run for Governor of Hawaii. For his campaign literature, he'll take the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act, which was whooped through the House on Tuesday 245-164.
[..]
This wasn’t the law’s first trip around the Hill, though it was the most outrageous. The version passed Tuesday includes last-minute changes by Mr. Abercrombie to evade normal legislative vetting. In a letter to House leaders, five members of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights expressed their “profound disappointment” at a bill that was “negotiated behind closed doors” and “released less than 48 hours prior to the expected House vote.”]
in case you don’t know what that represents, in short order, it means no go zones for Sharia Islamists aka: NOI are on their way, not that they aren’t already here hiding in plain sight as it is, but they’ll be “in our face” so to speak..
["We want our people in America whose parents or grandparents were descendants from slaves, to be allowed to establish a separate state or territory of their own -- either on this continent or elsewhere. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to provide such land and ... to maintain and supply our needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to 25 years -- until we are able to produce and supply our own needs. … We want freedom for all Believers of Islam now held in federal prisons. We want freedom for all black men and women now under death sentence in innumerable prisons in … We want the government of the United States to exempt our people from ALL taxation as long as we are deprived of equal justice under the laws of the land. … We want all black children educated, taught and trained by their own teachers. … The United States government should provide, free, all necessary text books and equipment, schools and college buildings. … We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should be prohibited. We want the religion of Islam taught without hinderance [sic] or suppression.”]
no mention of the horrific Islamic Black Slavery that still exists today..
