Bush “Miss Me Yet?” merchandise is selling like hotcakes online says CafePress.
Obama merchandise?… Not so much.
CBS reported:
The cheery image of former President George W. Bush appeared on a billboard in Minnesota earlier this month, next to the words, “Miss me yet?” It appears a lot of people think it’s a fair question.
The online store CafePress saw a spike in demand for items featuring the same image as the billboard, the New York Daily News reports. Ten “Miss Me Yet?” items were on the company’s list of its top-selling designs, CafePress spokeswoman Jenna Martin told the Daily News.
“There were no Obama-themed designs on the list,” she said. “Bush has stolen the political spotlight, just like Sarah Palin did the week before when she re-surfaced with crib notes written in her palm.”

I like Bush far better than Obama. I miss him but not too much. I know he was not perfect but he kept us safe and lifted the economy when it was down in his first term. I just wish he had not increased government and started this whole stimulus dole out deals. But compared to the current Prez, way way better. Next Prez should be more conservative than Bush.

I miss him and Laura terribly. No qualifiers here, everyone knows his administration wasn’t perfect, but damn the man loved this country and wasn’t afraid to show it.
Jeff commented:
I agree. He loved the USA and he kept the office of the President in high honor and dignity.
Pat the First commented:
I miss all of the Bush family. All of them. Never had to doubt where they stood. Ever.
Patricia commented:
I miss the dignity Bush brought to the office following 8 years of God knows what all in the Oval office. Obama is photographed with his feet up on the desk in the Oval Office and it outrages me. I sent THE WON an email telling him to have some respect for the people’s house. He is merely a temporary occupant. Yes, I miss Bush and American exceptionalism writ large during his presidency. It’s depressing to see how far the nation has fallen in just 13 short months. How are we going to survive three more years? I pray for our country.

No Obama Joker t-shirts?

My family’s been sporting tee shirts with “I miss W” for months now (it’s warm where we live) and have gotten compliments and a thumbs up from many, many people. There’s a serious case of buyer’s remorse out there. GWB made mistakes, and I didn’t always agree with his spending, but he had integrity and it showed.

Bill Mitchell commented:
I think the thing people miss the most about Bush was his sincerity.
Obama is so cynical I can’t stand it. The man will say something and then 5 minutes later swear with a straight face that he never said what you just heard him say. Then when you call him on his contradiction, he will refer you to his earlier non-answer as his answer.
I talk to a lot of people when I go out and I dont know ANYONE who still supports this joker. The polls are far underestimated the animosity towards him.

I miss President Bush.
As a small business owner, I felt I had an friend in the WH. Now, I feel like I have a target on my back.
The Bolsheviks don’t treat the kulaks well.
Lenore commented:
I remember when they called Bush a liar over and over again. When they were asked what he lied about they only had WMD. But Bush did not lie, he went by every other intelligence agency in the world and Saddam himself. A lie is knowing what you are saying is false. Obama on the other hand lies all the time. I bet we could point to 1,000 lies he has told since he started his run. They are all on video, sound or in print and yet it means nothing to the media. To the media Dems are supposed to lie and Reps are not. I say throw out ALL the liars.
I also say the House should be like jury duty, tax paying Americans serve 2 years, get great pay, healthcare for the time of their service plus 1 year, no pension but 10,000 put into an IRA 1 year after leaving office, if they are found to have had no questionable dealings during their term. Just my opinion.

Want to hear my healthcare plan, NO, to bad, here goes. Number #1 most important Interstate healthcare. Companies and people can find the best plan for them anywhere in the USA. This creates competition and lowers prices. #2 Tort reform, needs no explanation. # 3 Pre-existing conditions: Medicare option: you pay what any other person pays for insurance weekly into medicare and you receive $10-20 scripts depending on income, $20-40 dollar office visits again depending on income, and $50-$300 (depending on the procedure) deductable for other medical expenses. #4 Healthcare savings plans, not taxed at all, payment is directly to place of medical care.

Bush is the reason why we have Obama. I don’t miss him one bit.

I want the President of the USA to be comfortable in the house they live. Can you imagine being watched constantly? You’d be afraid to break a little wind, a natural body function. You want your feet up fine with me, I want no say with Obama’s personal comfort techniques unless he is golfing when he should be working. He is pres 24 hrs a day. There are FAR to many worrisome thing about this pres, feet on a desk is not one of them.

I missed Bush before Bozo entered office.
I like the ‘How’s that hopey changey thing working out for yah?’ — Sarah Palin. U.C. Berkeley professors are having a meltdown with that phrase. They only wish they could make something up like that phrase b/c they deem it so creative — although Sarah Palin is a rube to them.
hell no commented:
Not just no but HELL NO. Bush was no friend to conservatives! Bailouts, expanded socialist programs, iraq, larger bigger gov’t, ran up the deficit and national debt, the list goes on and on and that’s just a start. I want the current Bozo gone as much as the next poster on this site but lets not lose sight of the fact the Bush made things worse for our Republic not better.

God bless you President George W. Bush, the greatest president in american history. Boy, do we miss you now!
ahem commented:
Bush was imperfect–all men are–but he undertook the job to the best of his ability. Foreign policy mistakes he made were because he was treading on terra incognita. And some of his economic policies were misguided.
But he was on our side. He loved America and honored the office for which he stood. Obama just wants to destroy us and everything we stand for, and he’s succeeding. Our future and those of our kids will be miserable.
Yes, I miss Bush unequivocally.

Just Sayin' commented:
jonyjoe remarks,
“Everyone respects strength.”
Interesting. Would you have respected Hitler in 1939? At the time, there wasn’t anyone stronger.
I think most people respect strength when it’s accompanied by at least some semblance of thought, intellect, analysis, purpose and compassion. Or as Thucydides said in his History of the Peloponnesian War, “Of all the manifestations of power, restraint impresses men most.”
Historians will see George W. Bush as severely lacking in virtually all of the above. For the most part, they already do.
My friend jonyjoe also remarks, “[Bush] was a little weak in fighting the wars we got into, refusing to deliver the killblow…”
Really? How and to whom would you have had him deliver “the killblow?” For that matter, how do you define “killblow” in wars that devolved into ongoing battles against hit-and-run insurgency? How do you “kill” that in one mighty blow, as you seem to imply is possible?
If you can solve that one, you’ve answered questions that have plagued this country since Vietnam. But just tossing off the whole complex problem in one remark about a “killblow” seems, well, remarkably naive at best.
Finally: If you’re between the ages of say, 20-45, or were during the height of the Iraq war, are you or were you serving in either Iraq or Afghanistan to deliver this alleged “killblow?”
If not, why not?
