Last Friday an angry President Obama lashed out at House Republicans saying, “You’ve been telling your constituents is. ‘This guy’s doin’ all kinds of crazy stuff that’s going to destroy America!’”
Yesterday conservative analyst Bill Kristol agreed with the president.
Via Crooks and Liars:
One of the key points President Obama made in his back-and-forth with House Republicans seems to be really sticking in the craw of the right-wing pundit class:
Obama: I mean, the fact of the matter is that many of you, if you voted with the administration on something, are politically vulnerable in your home base, in your own party. You’ve given yourselves very little room to work in a bipartisan fashion, because what you’ve been telling your constituents is. ‘This guy’s doin’ all kinds of crazy stuff that’s going to destroy America!’
Bill Kristol, yesterday on Fox News Sunday:
Kristol: First of all, I agree with the president. I think he’s been doing all kinds of crazy stuff that risks destroying America. But the good news is, a lot of it’s been stopped.
Evidently, Obama and democrats still believe that tripling the US budget deficit in one year, increasing that deficit the next year, refusing to interrogate captured terrorists, holding terror trials in New York City, ramming nationalized health care through Congress in closed door meetings, bribing and threatening senators, spending your way out of a recession,…. are rational decisions that somehow benefit the nation.

BigAlSouth commented:
Well, the House Majority Whip, James Clyburn of SC, presents the deficit counter argument: “We gots to spend da money!”
Only problem is we gots to borrow the money first from the ChiComs afore we can spend it.

Why was the PRESIDENT’S STAFF involved in writing the Senate health care bill but duly elected Republican Senators were locked out of the process?
Every fifth grader knows the U.S. Constitution requires a separation of powers through the three branches of government, the Executive, the Legislative and the Judicial. The Legislative Branch has the responsibility of making the laws. Would it be appropriate if a Supreme Court Justice took part in the process of writing a bill or intimidated a Senator to vote for the bill? Of course not! Then the present administration has overstepped their authority. This may have occurred in past administrations but for the sake of righteousness and adherence to the Constitution, it must stop NOW! The entire process of this bill was a violation of the Constitution and it should be thrown out.
Is anyone in Congress going to protest this usurpation of their Constitutional responsibility and demand that the President GET HIS HANDS OFF CONGRESS?! Are we on the road to becoming a dictatorship? Where are the Patriots on this one?
NeoKong commented:
It’s like he can’t believe that people will actually say no to him. He’s astonished. No one inside the White House ever says no to him no even if he wants a sandwich when he’s taking that 3:AM call.
Campaign rhetoric is one thing and real leadership and results are another. He promised tax cuts and transparency. He promised to bring down the deficit. He promised to bring change to Washington and end the divisiveness and all he has done is tell people “I won, now get over it and shut up”.
He has failed to deliver and keeps trying to pin thre blame on Bush or the really mean 40 Republicans who are still in the minority.
It’s strange how Obama seems to act as if the past is some sort of inaccessible place where his words or actions can no longer be retrieved. He hasn’t done jack to reach across the aisle or even consider any Republican proposals and Republicans have even been locked out of committee rooms at times and kept in the dark and somehow he thinks no one remembers that.
He had his chance to include the opposition when the whole damn country was crying out in the streets in protest in numbers never seen before. But no. He and Pelosi and Reid chose to ridicule them and belittle them and turned the sights of their media assassins against the good and hard working people of this country and cram a secret bill down our throats on Xmas eve and now everyone is supposed to just roll over because he showed up at a meeting with Republicans once.
No No No….it don’t work that way. He’s has about eight more months before a much different Congress and Senate take away the cars keys and put him and all his little pinko Mao loving buddies in check.

zero was part of Congress prior to becoming President, right? Didn’t he have the opportunity to show his “bi-partisan” street cred? Did he vote against any of the “out-of-control” government he rails about?
You’d never know he had a record before January 20, 2009. The media is pathetic, and so are the @$$hats who voted for precedent toonces.
Nbdy commented:
again, the president thinks (when he says, “you’ve been telling your constituents…”)we are all sheep, being told what to think and believe by our representatives.
Well, Mr. President and my lame democratic senators, your actions and our own eyes can discern the crap you are doing to destroy this country. We’re not sheep and we’re not asleep.

The Senate is going to take ANOTHER crucial vote on appointing the Union connected M.Patricia Smith to the Department of Labour–with Paul Kirk still voting. Have I missed the outrage of Republicans in the Senate or hasn’t there beean any?

I don’t know about destroying America . . .
destroying jobs – YES!
The FY 2011 budget has $1 trillion (over ten years) in tax increases (mainly evil tax cuts for the rich expire) on families with incomes over $250,000 ($380 billion); raises capital gain tax rate to 20% ($105 billion); personal exemption/deduction limits ($209 billion); et disastrous cetera.
Still, the average annual deficit will be $850 billion for the next ten years – that’s a $8.5 trillion incrrease to the national death, er, debt.
In November, you must fire the entire congress.

OK once again, this is/was his plan all along. He is a radiacal left acolyte of Alinsky. This is by design, nobody could screw up the economy this bad and NOT be on purpose. Wake up America, the Troll is in the WH.

Is Ideology Really Yesterday for the Obami?
The Obama team likes to present itself as nonideological. Whatever works. Respect science. Realism and pragmatism are to rule the day. We’ve heard it for a year now, though in practice the Obami seem much less receptive to evidence that conflicts with deeply held beliefs. For example: they don’t have much patience for news about Climategate, and their foreign policy seems to be based on a systematic denial of all available evidence about our foes and their fundamental interests. Well here is a new test for the self-proclaimed opponents of ideology.

Cohen vs. Obama
When Richard Cohen sounds like Dick Cheney, the Obama administration is in a heap of trouble:
There is almost nothing the Obama administration does regarding terrorism that makes me feel safer. Whether it is guaranteeing captured terrorists that they will not be waterboarded, reciting terrorists their rights, or the legally meandering and confusing rule that some terrorists will be tried in military tribunals and some in civilian courts, what is missing is a firm recognition that what comes first is not the message sent to America’s critics but the message sent to Americans themselves.

Barry O. is simply not sane.
He’s like the sociopath husband in the movie trying to drive his wife crazy.
In this case, he is methodically doing everything possible to destroy all that makes America strong, great, and unique.
His turnabouts and surreal pivots do not compute, and have no bearing on his past or future positions.
Not sane.
Dr. Krauthammer is exactly right: that this person was elected president is the oddest thing that ever happened in politics.
JustSayNo commented:
Yes, you’re right; Obama is a sociopath. I’d back impeachment, but that would only replace him with other sociopaths.
All we have to do is say ‘No’ for the next two years–that’s all.
Go out and vote today.

BO speaks the truth, and God bless those who are brave enough to stand up to this monster. He is the most destructive force in American history. This crazy stuff must stop.
Also, BO’s behavior is also geared towards unipartisanism. He has urged Congress to shut Republicans out. Anyone who dissents is savaged. Look at what they did to Liberman. Dissed him, attacked his wife. Real bunch of statesmen.
