2009 Anti-Semitic Incidents Reach Highest Level Since World War II

This is concerning.
There were more anti-Semitic incidents in 2009 than any other year since World War II. There were two murders linked with anti-Semitism in the United States in 2009.
Haaretz reported:
Nearly half of Western European believe that Jews exploit the persecution of their past as a method of extorting money, according to an annual Jewish Agency report released on Sunday.
A joint report on anti-Semitism conducted by the Agency and the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs found that 42 percent of those polled by the University of Bielefeld in Germany agreed that “Jews exploit the past to extort money.”
The countries in which the highest percentage of the population agreed with that statement were Poland and Spain.
According to the Jewish Agency, there were more anti-Semitic incidents in 2009 than in any year since the Second World War. In the first three months of 2009 – immediately following Israel’s three-week offensive on the Gaza Strip – there were as many anti-Semitic incidents recorded as in the entire year of 2008.
In France, for example, there were 631 anti-Semitic incidents recorded in the first half of 2009, compared to 474 in all of 2008.
Worldwide, eight people were killed in attacks last year.
The report indicates that there were two murders linked with anti-Semitism in the United States in 2009 – one of a female university student in Connecticut and the other of a non-Jewish guard at the Holocaust museum in Washington, D.C.
This rise in anti-Semitism is stemming from both the political Left and Right, according to the Jewish Agency.

Ok, I’ll say it. By adding one word, I’ve fixed the above statement to make it true. A person can believe this without being anti-Semitic.
I married into a Jewish family, and I read publications in my in-laws’ house from time to time.
There are people from this country who want to go to Europe and take back houses they say their ancestors owned before WWII, and other possessions such as paintings, from museums. Some of my family believe that other Jewish people should sue for the homes and goods such as paintings they lost in Europe in WWII. The people suing are children and grandchildren of people who either escaped to there on their own or were rescued by Allied forces, and prospered in the US in the years after the war, and now have the money and the leisure and the nerve to travel to Europe and demand that some other family be thrown out of a home they thought they bought legitimately.
In my opinion, if there is any such recovery after all this time, it should first go to the families of the soldiers of our country who got sucked into rescuing somebody else’s family, and died in the process. I doubt that makes me an anti-semite.
This is a question wholly different from killings, rapes, and tortures performed by Muslim men under the influence of nasty organizations such as the Muslim Brotherhood, which advocates, in writing, the murder of every Jew on the face of the earth, along with every Infidel and every Muslim that does not agree with them.
The distinction is important.

Example – the obvious: Look at all the Czars – the dhimmis, appeasers and all the Moose Limbs in appointed positions who are completely anti-freedom, let alone anti-religion (except a certain one – Whiskey Tang Foxtrot with the appointment of a terrorist as the US envoy to the OIC !?!).

Swedish people living in the city of Malmo took in some Jewish people after WWII and treated them kindly. More recently, the kind of Muslims that give Islam a bad name moved in and began abusing them. Some Jews leaving, because the town has become lawless, and the local mayor, Ilmar Reepalu, is a left-wing creep in bed with the neo-Nazis and muzzies.

There may indeed be some people on the right who hates Jews, but having spent a considerable amount of time in both political movements I can assure everyone that the vasy majority of anti-Jewish bigotry is coming from the left. They HATE Israel and Jews in general with a burning passion. It’s all a ton of them ever talk about. They rant and rave about how evil Israel and how the Zionist lobby in Congress pulls the strings of the U.S. government to serve Israel’s bidding. That should be fully explained. “Right” and “Left” in Europe is NOT the same as in the USA.
As Mark Steyn pointed out, “Right” and “Left” in Europe are on the same side of the spectrum, of “LEFT.” The classic “Right-wing” is described as “Hitler” who was a hard-core SOCIALIST, which is “Left.”
There is no major political party in Europe as we know it of the “Right” as in America, which is generally Conservative, a concept not well-represented in European politics at all.
So, it would seem then that the “Left” is heavily implicated in this rising trend of anti-Semitism, but the reporting implies some sort of parity of apparently two completely different political ideologies, which isn’t the case.

More like an ignorant (or, probably for their leaders, deliberate) misinterpretation of evolutionary theory.
Recent genetic surveys have shown that the “races” of humanity are a lot more closely related than the bigots want. Oh, and skin color? Environmental adaptation. Nothing more.
