UN Officials Lied About Melting Glaciers to Win Hundreds of Thousands in Grant Money

The junk scientists at the United Nations lied about melting Himalayan glaciers to secure hundreds of thousands of pounds in grant money.
The Times Online:
The chairman of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has used bogus claims that Himalayan glaciers were melting to win grants worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Rajendra Pachauri’s Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), based in New Delhi, was awarded up to £310,000 by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the lion’s share of a £2.5m EU grant funded by European taxpayers.
It means that EU taxpayers are funding research into a scientific claim about glaciers that any ice researcher should immediately recognise as bogus. The revelation comes just a week after The Sunday Times highlighted serious scientific flaws in the IPCC’s 2007 benchmark report on the likely impacts of global warming.
The IPCC had warned that climate change was likely to melt most of the Himalayan glaciers by 2035 – an idea considered ludicrous by most glaciologists. Last week a humbled IPCC retracted that claim and corrected its report.
The Telegraph reported: Last week, the IPCC, led by its increasingly controversial chairman, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, was forced to issue an unprecedented admission: the statement in its 2007 report that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035 had no scientific basis, and its inclusion in the report reflected a “poor application” of IPCC procedures.

It was never about anything else but the money. Those who genuinely believed in climate change, rightly or wrongly, were just the puppets of those at the top who were grabbing grants, green jobs and influential positions at various complicit organisations to set themselves up for life.
They should be made to give it all back.

I know that here in the states, we are challenging our government on this issue, but what are they doing about this is the UK and in other parts of Europe? Are they surrendering or are they really making a stink about this?

This guy Pachauri is a hustler who puts Al Gore to shame. He has ties to many companies which stand to profit from the trade in “carbon credits”. One of them has already done so.
TERI stands for Tata Energy Research Institute. Tata is the huge Indian business empire with tentacles everywhere, including Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, where its North American branch has its offices. Tata has also bought the British car company Jaguar, and owns Corus, a steel producer.
Tata has tried to shut down the Corus steel mill, putting 1,700 people out of work. They would then open a new plant in India, where the carbon credit restrictions are favorable. Related, they have tried to obtain approximately $3B in carbon credits. But the Brits are on to them and want the credits to remain with the plant. The closing has been delayed for a month.
This is only the tip of a very large iceberg, as Pachauri is involved in numerous companies and organizations.

Does anyone not find it strange that Al Gore has become independently wealthy off this scam and since there is ties to Pennsylvania Ave, is it possible this is how he got the info to scam the world? Interesting food for thought.
