Vicki Kennedy, wife of late Senator Teddy Kennedy, agrees with Scott Brown, “It’s the people’s seat.”

Via Perfunction

This, of course, echoes Scott Brown from this week’s debate:

“With all due respect, it’s not the Kennedy’s seat, it’s not the Democrats’ seat, it’s the people’s seat.

It was nice of Vicki to stomp for Martha Coakley but it may have had an adverse affect.
The Boston Herald reported:

Big-name Kennedy endorsements for Martha Coakley appear to have been little help to the Democrat in the U.S. Senate race – and may have even hurt her with some voters, a new Suffolk University/7News poll shows.

The late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s widow, Vicki, and nephew Joseph Kennedy II gave the attorney general their official blessing last week.

But of the 500 voters surveyed, only 20 percent said the Kennedy family nod made them more likely to vote for Coakley, and 27 percent said the endorsement made them less likely to support her.

Oh well.

  1. She’s only correct about it being the people’s seat. Everything else she says screams “you lie”! I think Coakley is having a hard time defending the claim she is for the people. She runs to DC for insurance and hosital special interest funding…she makes fun of Fenway Park fans…I’m thinking Vicky Kennedy is as clueless as the rest of the Democrats.

    I guess the Tea Partiers aren’t as irrelevant as the MSM made them out to be…they woke up more people than they were given credit for…how are they going to spin this?

  2. First, I call plagiarism…that seat comment is Brown’s signature remark. He OWNS it.

    Second, doesn’t Vicki know her BFF Coakley was at a DC fundraiser earlier this week shaking down those eeeeeevil insurance company lobbyists for big money?

    Just how uninformed do these two think the MA voters are?

  3. The SURGE!! The SCOTT SURGE!! Great Scott!! We back you all the way!

  4. More arrogance. Geeze Vicki, just got a clue? Did your party and family in law just figure out that the seat does not belong to you? What does your endorsement say anyway? That you actually believe that you, as wife of the former seated, are ENTITLED to tell us who to vote for by plagiarizing Scott Browns assertion about your hack family-in-law and your dear Party?

    Vote Scott Brown, enough of these elitist jerks. Argh! The Gaul! The temerity! How dare they?! Boy, I am doing everything I can to see that Scott Brown wins! I am a lifelong Massachusetts democrat (30 years voting), changed to undeclared this year, Donated to Scott Browns Campaign (I guess that makes me a right wing radical), voting for Scott Brown on January 19th even if I have to crawl to the polls! Martha and her Kennedy, big pharma, big fat lobbiest friends can tell all of the lies they want in their ads, the people have already figured you out. I am sick and tired of the crap coming out of Washington. Let’s see, when are Barney Frank and John Kerry Up for Re-election? Can’t wait!

  5. Are you kidding me? I just got a robo call from Obama…on my lunch hour! The game is on…your right Mr President…I DO KNOW all about Martha! So there is no way in H-E-double-hockey-sticks that I would vote for her.

  6. Oops..that’s You’re right MR. President!

  7. These idiots can’t get past rallying their Democratic “base”. They are getting clobbered by the Independents and turning off some of their base!

    I would be curious to see a chart that showed the voters that are registered as Republican, Democrat, & Independents.

    My gut tells me that Democrat registrations has declined while Republican registrations are steady and Independents have increased.

    In other words lifelong Democrats leaving the Democrat Party that can’t bring themselves to register as Republicans.

  8. ++

    Obama present for Coakley..

    Olympic Fail part deux..

    will he be doing a fly-low-over MassachusettEs??

    ==

  9. How opportunistic and hypocritical for Coakley and the Kennedys to now hijack Brown’s brilliant statement that it’s the people’s seat, not Kennedy’s seat. They’re fuming that they didn’t think of it first. What a pathetic bunch.

    May God grant Scott Brown this incredible victory, and how poetic it will be. Ted Kennedy’s lifelong mission of universal health care could be derailed by the man who fills the seat he left empty. Beautiful!

  10. Well, well, well….MsVicki had to give up some of her precious time to come and tell us all that “it’s the peoples seat”…….we knew that all along, she is kinda late to the party, don’t you think!

    As for Scott…it will be his seat if all continues to go well and the “establishment” doesn’t play the usual and customary dirty tricks they are known for…it will be a “Brown Out” come Tuesday…
    My new jingle…
    “BROWN, BROWN CAME TO TOWN AND TURNED MASSACHUSETTS UPSIDE DOWN”….

    With luck, we will all hear the second shot heard ’round the world come Tuesday evening…

  11. Scott should blow Vicky Kennedy’s endorsement right out of the water –> “Martha Stewart IE Martha Coakley would clean up corruption”.

    Scott needs to put together a commercial showing Vicky’s comments and then remind the voters that Martha just went to DC and got donations from these same people that she is supposively going to clean up.

    Hypocracy at its very best … GO SCOTT !!!
