Republican Scott Brown is up by 3 points in the latest America Research Group Poll:

From the ARG poll:
Republican Scott Brown leads Democrat Martha Coakley 48% to 45% in the special Massachusetts US Senate race to replace Senator Ted Kennedy in a telephone survey conducted January 12-14 among 600 likely voters in Massachusetts saying they will definitely vote in the special election on January 19.
Brown leads Coakley 94% to 1% among registered Republicans and he leads 58% to 37% among unenrolled voters. Coakley leads Brown 71% to 20% among registered Democrats. A total of 8% of Democrats and 5% of Republicans remain undecided.
Brown leads 54% to 39% among men while Coakley leads 50% to 44% among women.
Brown leads 52% to 42% among likely voters age 18 to 49 and Coakley leads 47% to 46% among voters 50 and older.
More… Jim Geraghty is reporting at The Campaign Spot that in one internet poll the race is dead even, in another, Scott Brown is up by 11 points. Every demographic and key group is breaking to Brown in the past day or two.

Why do I have a sickening feeling that despite the remarkable surge for Brown the voting machines in Mass will produce a Coakely win?
Joan of Argghh! commented:
If the Republican Party isn’t flooding Massa’chussets with lawyers and poll-watchers and citizens armed with night-sticks to *ahem* protect the citizens that wish to vote only once. . . if they haven’t figured out that all this hoopla over Scott Brown just draws attention away from the quiet “community organizing” that’s happily arranging another Dem win, then the Republican Party is as stupid about its own existential threats as the Democrats are about our country’s.

With this economy in freefall and Obama and the Dems spending us into bankruptcy why should the average Democrat feel any excitement for Martha Coakley? Scott Brown is the first rock in the avalanche.

Folk 50 plus they do have what are call Death panel,in the bill.
Sandy commented:
A couple of things make me optimistic. Coakley has to pay Union workers to carry signs for her. As opposed to Brown whose campaign headquarters is filled with ordinary people and whose signs run out the minute a new shipment arrives. Coakley had to run to Washington for an infusion of money while Brown has raised his from small donations over the internet. Sometimes people power trumps the fat cats. This could be one of those times.

I am in Mass. While sitting here, laminating my 25 Scott Brown for US senate posters that I had printed from the PDF on line this morning, I received a call from Bill Clinton’s recording-o-lies. I received a call from President Obama yesterday at lunch, (paraphrasing) “If you know Martha you know what to do”. Oh yes Mr. President, I do know what to do!
Also received a call from a real human being from Martha’s office. We told them we were definitely voting on Tuesday, there are three of us and were all voting for Brown. Maybe I should have lied?
Made phone calls to all of the disaffected Democrats and am handing out the weather proof posters this afternoon! Who-hoo! Call everyone you know!

There has been no mention of Democrat defections to vote for Scott Brown. I guaratee, the moderate Democrats DO NOT want the crap comming from washington. While solid Democrats they ARE NOT socialists. Scott is giving them a true choice for a change. This is gonna make 1994 look meek next to the spanking the Dem’s are getting ready to get.
The undertow of anti BIG GOVERNMENT anti OBAMA
(cuz he is for big gov) is huge. Been to town hall meetings outside my district and tea partys. AMERICA IS POed BIG TIME. The less they listen the worst the backlash. Powder is dry

With decades and decades of Democratic Party/Kennedy monopoly the surge of genuine emotion and excitement for CHANGE in Massachusetts amongst the people is awesome to see.

Still too close. Brown needs more votes in order to get above the Dems’ illegals, imaginary, and dead folks that’ll cast their ballot for Croakley

SEIU is accused of violating campaign law for Coakley. Here is what the Gouverneur Times (upstate NY) has to say:
The SEIU has already been accused of illegal election tampering in this race, allegedly having sent an email to all State employees, on the State’s internal email system, urging them to vote for Coakley. The Brown campaign filed a formal complaint regarding the admitted violation of State Ethics Laws but Coakley, as the Attorney General, has, as yet, declined to investigate those allegations.

Thank you Hope (post #12). I am in Chicago, with no representation (Dick Durbin, Roland Burris, and a Dem. governor who wants to increase state income tax by 50%). Gov. Quinn is completely in the hands on the unions. I cringe to hear what the SEIU will try to do this weekend in Mass. Without a Scott Brown win, there may be NO HOPE for stopping Obamacare. And once it takes root in our country, it will creep into every aspect of our life.

Gnawing at me is the fact that we allowed other obviously stolen elections to get by with hardly a murmur from us.
It only emboldens the Dems to do it again. Especially when so much is on the line. I don’t see how they won’t this time. And it may explain why BO was willing to go to Massachusetts.
At this point, it looks as though only the usual Democrat fraud will secure a win for their candidate.
This canNOT continue. America is lost otherwise.

Get ready. Coakley will win on the third re-count and will be promptly whisked into office to join her buddy Al Franken, another benefactor of a stolen Senate race. That is how the dems work.
