The fox is in the FOX house.

Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin signed on with America’s top cable news network, FOX News.
The Washington Post reported:

Sarah Palin, who regularly rips the media, is becoming a television pundit at a place where she’s likely to feel at home.

A Fox News executive says the network will shortly announce that the former vice-presidential nominee is signing on as a contributor.

Palin, who resigned as governor of Alaska last summer, will appear as a commentator on various Fox shows. She will also host an occasional program that will examine inspirational tales involving ordinary Americans.

Palin will join Mike Huckabee as a Fox contributor who was also involved in the 2008 campaign. The exposure can only help Palin if she decides to pursue a 2012 presidential bid.

UPDATE: Sarah Palin will debut on The O’Reilly Factor on Tuesday.

  1. ahh… this news will make all the libs heads explode!

  2. This is a win-win situation. More and more voters will come to love her and her position with many issues. Now when Barry is on TV again, we’ll have someone else to view.

Obama has got to just hate this news.

  3. The Hen is in the Foxhouse!

  4. Bad move for her if her political aspirations are anything like near-term. If she’s truly taking the long view and not planning on running for office (any office) for the next couple of presidential cycles, it might verge on canny.

Frankly, she needs to accept a high-level cabinet post first. I like the woman and what she seems to embody, but I’ll remain in the “I could use more gravitas” camp. These days, as we’re plainly seeing, inexperience can be really, really, really bad.

  5. Big audience and she gets paid to get her political points out. Smart.

  6. The left keep reiterating that Palin is a polarizing figure when they’ve elected the most polarizing figure ever – what’s up is down with these people. If Palin is polarizing, she is just separating the tares from the wheat so to speak, as she stands for the interests of America, as those with her do, and the rest would rather reduce America to third world status and at the mercy of communists and Islamists.

  7. Hope she bumps Geraldo! And by bump I mean replace.

  8. Personally, I think it is a waste of her talent. I’d rather see her leading America. But hey, maybe she’ll do both. Good on ya’, Sarah!

  9. So now it’s Foxy News Network?

  10. Notice the wimps at WaPo make sure to mention that she “regularly rips the media”. Oh really? Regularly? I thought she just defends herself when they lie about her. Oh yeah, that is regularly.

  11. Did you hear that? That was the MSM going “WTF!?”
I probably wont watch her show if its not commentary like Beck or OReilly, but I am excited to watcher her preach truth to issues on others’ shows.

ahh… this news will make all the libs heads explode!

It already has, just read some of the comments on Hot Air.

I think it’s a smart move. She just gained more exposure and will be able to say what she wants without the constraints of being in office. Let’s see what happens. Can’t wait to see the figures for the other networks and their pundits foaming at the mouth!!!

  13. Now imagine, if you will….

The fraud in the White House makes one of his famous TOTUS performances and it’s followed immediately by analysis from…..Whom?

The FOX ratings will go right through the roof!!

  14. I don’t see why this is a problem.

Plenty of people have attained office after being in the public eye. I wish Sarah Palin well in her newest endeavor! :-D

  15. Great News!!! And reason #999 that libs hate FOX.

  16. The fake cliche about our serious problems is a word game that diverts attention from the real issue: All the current Beltway VIP’s have had years to prove they could help avoid these serious problems and they failed. The bloated guys who allege to be on the right are proven failures–and have no shame about it. The aging GOP hacks would not exist were it not for 24 hour cable news and their sick need for attention. They are the ones who lack seriousness, selling the crime of global warming and cap and trade; at the very least they’re not stopping it, with global warming lobbyists outnumbering congressmen by a 5-1 ratio. They allowed the sub prime scandal that took away lifetimes of work and sacrifice, forcing hobbled and arthritic seniors to take jobs as clerks in order to survive today. They allowed global warming fraud to grow, supported cap and trade, failed to stop the ascendancy of Soros and Goldman Sachs, and promoted mass illegal immigration. The only thing that can save us is someone from outside the Beltway bureaucracy.

  17. OT from free republic
“Jodie Evans, is running banner advertisements on the English language version of the official Web site of a terrorist sympathizing group, the Muslim Brotherhood, one of which invites the Muslim Brotherhood to “join us in cleansing our country.” i look awful in pink so can i make a citizens arrest of jodie evans??????

  18. Smart move.

2012 might, might not be the best year for Palin. The McCain campagin did her (and us) a favor by putting her on the ticket. But they allowed greivious harm to come to her by keeping her on a leash while allowing the liberal media to do what they do very well… paint her exactly as they want her to be, not how she is. Many of us see through that bravo-sierra, but if we all honestly go out and chat with freinds, family, and colleagues, we will see that the past and current malignment by the MSM has left it’s mark. (You would be stunned to actually ask and find out how many people think she actually said “you can see Russia from my house”, that she advocated burning books, that she is far more of a right-winger than her governorship ever approached, and other such nonsense and slanders.)

That’s a tough thing to put behind you, and it might take years that she does not have by 2012. But if, on the other hand, the field is ripe, this move will not hurt her.

And if she simply wants to be the leader of an ideological movement, and not a Chief Executive, this too is a good move to that end.

I think it works for her…. and us.

  19. OT, but people should know this.

Did people here know that in October, the Central Bank of India bought 200 metric tons of gold from the International Monetary Fund?

Did you know that the bullion the IMF sold included U.S. gold?

Washington has consistently vetoed the IMF trying to sell its gold, UNTIL LAST YEAR, the Obama administration gave the go-ahead. In a time when America’s dollar is going down the crapper and the confidence in the dollar is failing, America is selling their gold. WTH!

The IMF has announced it is going to sell another 200 tons. WTH!!!

Can anyone say that Obama does not want to destroy America’s economy? Wake up. America isn’t going to have the dollar or any gold – she is going to be totally screwed.

  20. OT drudge is reporting the cost of flying congress critters to copenhagen. that should rile up the folks in the soup kitchen line
    http://www.drudgereport.com/flashcn.htm

  21. I hope she gets the leg chair on Red Eye.

Seeing her on Hannity with Nicole Wallace would be interesting.

  22. “And if she simply wants to be the leader of an ideological movement, and not a Chief Executive, this too is a good move to that end.”
Yes, this may be what she has in mind. She may feel she can be most effective in this type of position instead of elected office, and she may be right.

  23. Good for Sarah! The more people hear her speak, the more they will love her.

Oh, and for you posters who think she doesn’t have enough experience(like Scott M), why don’t you read her damn BOOK????

If you actually learn something about the woman instead of spitting out the mantra of the MSM, you might learn something.

  24. I kept getting a 505 “INTERNAL SERVER ERROR” Is this why?? But Hey!! I am jumping up and down going YEAH!!!! Go Sarah Go!!

  25. She’ll be a Fox News contributor, not have a weekly show of her own.

  26. More Sarah Palin and Less Chrissy Mathews.

  27. Only a CONTRIBUTOR?

If Sarah had her own news show, as an anchor, she would blow the competition away.

  28. This will drive the lefties around the bend and further increase FOX ratings.

  29. If the MSM ever finds out how intelligent Sarah Palin is they will never recover. I suggest to anyone who doubts her, that they read her book. It sets the record straight about who she is and how smart she truly is.

  30. I like Sarah a lot. She is so light skinned and has nary a hint of Negro lexicon.

  31. I wish she wouldn’t do this…but I know she needs to ‘feed’ her family…

Personally, I would rather see her out on the road giving speeches and lectures aka Reagan.

  32. Can I get a Woot! for Sarah! She is being advised properly now, so, I am sure they will find the right fit for her segments (ala Reagan on GE theater?).
And, OT, but, Scott Brown has raised $626,000 & counting. http://www.brownforussenate.com/red-invades-blue

  33. Is Fox trying to corner the market on beautiful conservative women?

This is great news as far as I am concerned and i wish all the best. I have a vote waiting for her in 2012!

  34. Sarah is going to get what ALL the Libs in the MSM have been giving the left politicians. A FREEEEEE podium to speak from and a BIGGER audience too.
This is delicious, just proves she has the “right” stuff.
National exposure like this is hard to buy and she’ll get paid well. WELL DONE Sahra!!!

  35. Sarah palin,is the close est we will ever get to Ronald reagan.

  36. I thought this move implied that she will not run in 2012…I guess not from some comments I am reading.

  37. This woman is no dummie.
    She knows what she’s doing.
I can’t wait to see more of her.
Her book was so uplifting and powerful, and she is an inspiration!

  38. Awesome!!! Good news and now great news commentary from Sarah. Can’t wait.

  39. bozero and all of his cronies may never get the knots out of their panties! GO SARAH! #1 in your heart and now #1 in primetime

  40. This great woman is totally unpredictable. Who saw this coming?

  41. I believe she started her career as a journalist and a sports news anchor. I know one thing. She’s not a cripple without a teleprompter.

  42. I follow US politics from New Zealand and Sarah Palin is without a doubt the most exciting person I see in politics anywhere because she speaks like us. IMHO this is what the political elite fear most, someone who does not feel the need to pull the wool over our eyes.

A wise poster on a blog advised turning off the tv and reading the speeches in the last presidental election. This I did and was horrified by Obama and what he seemed to be offring the US public. Palin on the other hand spoke to me in language I could understand.

For me this is just one more reason to watch FOX and hope we get something similar down under.

    GO SARAH YOU ROCK!!

  43. Awesome – can’t wait to see her. Wat glorious payback to her critics. Thank you, GOD.

  44. I like Sarah but I would have to say, beware of hero-worship…She has the thinnest of resume’s for President. Only, Hussein’s resume is thinner…I would like her to spend a decade or so in good solid work for the country before running…I like Romney. He is a brilliant, experienced leader who displayed great ability and class in the last election cycle. I would have liked to see him in it to the last. I think he would have blown out McCain in the Western states…Water under the bridge as they say…

  45. Scott, she did a great work for that country, already. She fought corruption in her state very succesfully. She initialised and finalised the biggest project in energy sector in the US history- the Alaskan gas pipeline. She achieived in a relatively short time more than majority of public figures during many years of their service.

She was able to achieve so much because she is a rare kind of a creative politician; a kind of a political artist with an unique political talent.

What is the most fascinating about her that after a period of silence when her fans are getting hungry of the news about her and a bit disquiet, she comes up with something new and unexpected and energises the political life in America.

As our friend from New Zealand, Charmaine rightfully notices, Palin is one of the most exciting political figures of modern era.

    Palin/West in 2012

  46. “Sarah palin,is the close est we will ever get to Ronald reagan.”

False. You should read “Regan in his own hand”. The book demonstrates that Reagan thought a lot about various domestic and international issues.

  47. Go Sarah… She is unpredictably awesome.

I got a copy of Going Rogue for Christmas all the way from USA to NZ … I’m from Chicago, living in Auckland and scared as s**t for America right now…

Anything Palin does will be much appreciated in efforts to save the Republic…

(hey, Charmaine, want to share a cuppa? ;-)

  48. Hopefully, FOX will, unlike the McCain campaign, let Sarah be Sarah!

AWESOME. Almost makes me wish I had television. Almost.

    Gus, you’re incorrigible. LOL!

  50. I have not watched TV for more than thirty years, but I may start watching Fox News.

  51. Just met a second female Palin hater in the past month. Both had this in common: they had family members (in one case, the child’s father, the other, her own mother) who’d become burdens for them.

They were visibly bothered, almost resentful, that these – dare I say, “loved ones” – were still alive. It was shocking to say the least. Though I did shock the one who’d wanted to pull the plug on her mother when I asked, “But isn’t your mother happy to be alive?” That hadn’t dawned on her, I guess…and the answer was “yes.” She travels alot, but that wheelchair is such a bother…

The other woman wanted to leave the ex-husband in Mexico to die alone. Her son-in-law was horrified, and took off to Mexico to bring his wife’s father home. The man has recovered from his illness.

It was almost surreal that they’d told me first these life/death stories and then expressed outrage at Palin. Both equally sure McCain had destroyed his chances by putting Palin on the ticket because “She’s so STUPID!”

  52. Mitt Romney is such a RINO, flip flopper and another wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Palin sure would of made a 100% better VP than what we have. I would like to see her run for Senator or Representative first. But certainly would vote for her if she was on 2012 ballot.

There’s some good seasoned politicans like DeMint, Mike Pence, Steve King, to name a few.

However, they all need not be so naive’ about the spread of Islam and creeping sharia’ in America.

  53. “However, they all need not be so naive’ about the spread of Islam and creeping sharia’ in America.”

    And PC

  54. ++

    God Bless & Godspeed Sarah!!

you’re certainly going to need all the help you can get.. *sigh*

Why does Fox News promote terror-tied, FBI-shunned group?

[Long a reliably patriotic media source in the war on terror, Fox News may now be among news outlets who have fallen under the spell of the Council on American-Islamic Relations' propaganda machine.

"We own the media," CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper privately brags, according to a source currently working inside the aggressive Islamist lobby group.

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly last week invited the TV-savvy Hooper on his show to debate passenger profiling, the second guest appearance by the CAIR spokesman in a month. At the end of the segment, O'Reilly thanked Hooper and called him a "stand-up guy," sending shockwaves through the conservative blogosphere.

CAIR is no ordinary guest. The government has blacklisted it as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator, and the group remains under criminal suspicion by the FBI, which has cut off outreach ties to it.

FBI agents arresting CAIR founding director Ghassan Elashi in 2002.

Congress and the IRS also are investigating CAIR, which has had no fewer than 15 executives and board members convicted or implicated in terror probes, including its founding chairman.]
