Rush Limbaugh spoke with reporters minutes ago in Hawaii about the chest pains he experienced on Wednesday that resulted in him being rushed to the hospital. Rush said he felt very fortunate for being treated to the “best health the world has to offer” right here in the United States in America. He also thanked his supporters for their cards, letters and flowers.
After the doctor spoke Rush told reporters that he was not taking prescription pain killers for his back as was reported earlier in the week. He did say he was taking prednisone (pretazone).
Tests showed no ailments after his chest pains.

God bless Rush Limbaugh…
and please forgive the childish left and their sick rants. They are only regurgitating their handler’s vomitous sputum…guide them so that they may some day grow up to be responsible adults.
I know it’s asking a lot!

God bless Rush on his recovery. To Harvey and the TMZ staff regarding your death poll, you are a sad bitter bunch of liberals.
Scott commented:
It’s scary he can have chest pains unlike anything he’s ever experienced before, but the doctors can’t find out what caused it. I sure hope he gets a second opinion when he gets back to Florida.
At any rate, rest up Rush. We have alot of work to do over the coming year, and we need your help to get it done.

Having suffered from back problems for many years, I am familiar with chest pain that is caused by the muscles in the back yanking on the muscles in the front. All you have to do is start poking around those chest muscles and you realize you are not having a heart attack.
Getting a second opinion is a good idea too, as one writer suggested.
Regarding democrats rejoicing over Rush’s hospitalization. Those parasites are a bunch of useless eaters whose only purpose is to freeload off the backs of true Americans.
Their obama is nothing but a glorified welfare queen. No wonder the socialist messiah is so tired…for the first time in his life, he has to actually work instead of voting present.
averagemelon commented:
I think it is sickening that they asked him if he was on pain killers. It’s just like the left to bullhorn the news if he was. If the man needs them, it’s not up to anyone else but him and his doctor to decide for crying out loud.
We thank the Lord you are well, Rush.

This news couldn’t be any better!! I LOVE how he propped up our health care system in the the process!!! He is right. We do have the best health care system in the world and we don’t need Obamacare to mess it up.

Felt well enough to take a jab at Obama care.

Rush always says that his outlet for venting frustration is his mic. I wondered whether the pain came from being on vacation and unable to vent his spleen after the Undie Bomber on Christmas.
Thankfully, I guess we can put his talk of moving to New Zealand to rest.

When arguing with the left, note the following.
WE the people who disagree with the socialists just want to be left alone.
When you disagree with a socialist, they want you DEAD.
Quality of your healthcare based on your politics? You Betcha…

Glad to hear Rush is well and believes he was receiving top of the line care in Hawaii. I would, however, seek further consultation and examination to answer for the chest pain. Cholecystitis (gall stones)causes chest pains or tightness that radiates from the abdomen to the right shoulder or back, mimicing a heart attack. Movement does not aleviate the pain.
Rush lost a lot of weight recently . As the body metabolizes fat during prolonged fasting and rapid weight loss—such as “crash diets”—the liver secretes extra cholesterol into bile, which can cause gallstones. In addition, the gallbladder does not empty properly. And as people age, the body tends to secrete more cholesterol into bile. Something to consider.

I once thought I’d had a heart attack. It hurt so badly; felt like someone had reached into my chest and squeezed my heart. Saw my doctor a couple of days later (it happened on a Saturday, so early the next week was as soon as I could see her). She ran tests that showed no evidence of a heart attack. She suggested it was an anxiety attack (aka panic attack). I later started having anxiety attacks upon waking in the mornings. She put me on Lexapro (an anti-depressant that, for whatever reason, helps decrease anxiety and anxiety attacks). Haven’t had an anxiety attack or a chest pain since then, except for the brief periods that I’ve stopped taking them. (I would prefer to live drug-free and so give it a shot every now and then. One day…)
Long story short, Rush’s chest pains could have been caused by anxiety. Lord knows we’ve all got enough to feel anxious about lately.
Peter commented:
I read that he is going to take a few extra days off instead of returning to work Monday.I don’t listen every day anymore, but Rush helped me put my own philosophy into words. His words gave me the courage to take on the job of Republican Precinct Chair back when George W. Bush was first running for Governor.
The day Rush comes back to work will set ratings records and may someday be a national holiday.

Paul_In_Houston commented:
Around the end of the ’80s, I began suffering severe chest pains; the first time resulting in a trip to the emergency room, fearing a heart attack.
They found nothing wrong with my heart, but diagnosed “gastric distress”, and maybe an incipient ulcer.
The pains recurred, off and on, for TWO years, usually after eating anything that had various fats in it (which I tried to avoid, to not much avail).
One day, when going to the local clinic for relief, the doctor I usually saw wasn’t there, so I saw an intern instead who listened to my description of my symptoms, read my file, and then sent me to a local womens’ clinic for an ultrasound scan (which my clinic had not the equipment for).
The result of that scan confirmed his suspicions of gallstones. A surgery was arranged and my gallbladder (which was FILLED gallstones, looking like small gravel) was removed, FINALLY relieving me from intermittent HELL.
What bothered me most about the episode (aside from the pain all that time) was that it took that long to find someone who had a clue as to what to look for. Finding a doctor who knows his stuff appears to be much like finding a really good mechanic, but far more consequential.
I hope Rush has been checked for this possibility.

When you deny you are taking “painkillers”, that means your taking something.
Did he have his hand on a bible when he denied it? did the hospital release his medical records to prove he wasn’t on some sort of “painkillers”? Did they pump his stomach?
Rush is an “entertainer” just like “cher” or madonna, and that is from his own admission. He’s not the leader of the patriot movement or teaparty. As far as we know he could be a big supporter of obama since he never touches the “birth certificate” issue. He sold out or was threaten to stay away from the “birth certificate issue”.
I feel like I’m at the leftist blogs with all the high praise everyone here is bestowing on Rush. He sold out. Pastor Manning already has proven that fact.
I hope he does get better because I can’t stomach any more of this undeserved praised on someone who isn’t what he claims.
