Rep. Michele Bachmann told Bill O’Reilly tonight that the tea party members will become the dominant members of the Republican Party. She added that if the Republicans are smart they will embrace them.

She’s right.

And, if Republican politicians are smart they will embrace and reach out to the local tea party activists in their district.

Let Freedom Ring has more on Michele and the Tea Party movement.

  1. If the Tea Party weathers the initial smear attacks by the left, their message will be heard loud and clear.

Tea Party=American Patriots, lovers of freedom, integrity, honesty, and strength.

    Huh…yep. That’s pretty much EVERYTHING I stand for…

  2. “if the Republicans are smart they will embrace them.”

Observing Steele and the rest of the GOP leadership, smart isn’t the first descriptive that comes to mind. She’s right. The energy and ideas are with the Tea Party movement. The GOP ought to do more to embrace them. Unfortunately, I think that the party apparatus will instead feel threatened and they will fight to isolate and marginalize the one part of the party that is growing.

  3. If the Republicans are smart?

Let’s turn that around. The Tea Partiers WILL dominate the GOP. And if WE are smart, we will tolerate the moderate Republicans.

  4. I have been to 3 tea parties – fave was the big 9/12 DC protest. The Tea Party is the new R party. This is the one thing that the so called elite libs just don’t get. The don’t understand SIMPLE concepts b/c they are too busy w/their noses up in the air calling us simpletons. Keep going libbies!! Please don’t change.

You got that right. Some GOP politicians will do what many politicians do. They will throw their constituents under the bus just to keep their jobs. They know that if tea partiers get their first choice in some Senate and House elections they might lose their job.

  6. the tea party is bigger than the republican party. they no longer donate to the republicans, they donate to each individual CONSERVATIVE candidate. If the republican party wants donations, they had better start picking CONSERVATIVE candidates. That is the key to winning. Nobody wants a RINO.

  7. The 2nd most hated woman by the left. They fear her common sense message.

  8. The Tea Party and Independent voters have no choice but to defend themselves and our country against the GOP. Which is racing to squandor Scott Brown’s victory, predictably. Top GOP pollster and media figure Frank Luntz has hired himself to the Environmental Defense Fund to advise them how republicans can be fooled into approving global warming and cap and trade. He advises what words to choose and which to avoid, reveals that most republicans agree with global warming and don’t want “yet another partisan political argument.” Right. All this in the past few days at the height of news that the whole global warming scam was a fraud. Predictably, the entrenched GOP proves again it is pathologically disinterested in the United States and only cares about money and tv cameras. All this in on google.

  9. WRONG!

With very little respect and just speaking for myself, I have no interest to embrace “the Republican movement”. Been there – done that.

Get it through your thick skulls. I will secure the blessings of my liberty to myself and my children. Accept that or go to hell.

  10. I hope so!! Need to inform Washington that they no longer control the Party or the message!!

  11. “If the Republicans are smart?

Let’s turn that around. The Tea Partiers WILL dominate the GOP. And if WE are smart, we will tolerate the moderate Republicans.”

Well, “i #3″ we agree to a point. And I suppose we will have to give them a seat at the table . . . but for sure, that seat better be below the salt, because RINO moderates (e.g., three words: Jeffords, McCain & Specter) have done as much to further the moonbat agenda as “moderate” dims. We are still burdened with the likes of Graham, Snowe & Collins, also. What this nation needs are about 500 men and women on Capital Hill who can stand shoulder to shoulder with Scott Brown, Marc Rubio and others to tear the deadly cancerous rot of liberalism out of this country.

  12. She’s right, when will the Republicans figure it out .

  13. Michele Bachmann embraced the Tea Party movement before there even was one…

  14. Call me a teapartyer!! 5 tea parties last year, the best was Washington on 9-12! We met so many awesome people that weekend and it added more fire to the belly!

Already made reservations for August 2010!

The GOP wont receive dollars from me, I give directly to conservative candidates, including Scott Brown. The message is clear, “you better see the tea’s!” (i just made that up :)

  15. Until the teaparty people address the “birth certificate” issue, they are a bunch of “teabaggers” just like anderson cooper (himself a closet teabagger) called them.

Pastor Manning has no respect for the teaparty people, and that’s all I need to know about there “agenda”.

Jessie ventura, Rush limbaugh and geraldo are good candidates to lead the teaparty movement. All 3 can’t handle the truth.

When obama was reached for comment, he only had this to say.

How enlightened of you. You probably know by now that insults are absolutely the best and most effective way to convince people of your position. Now that you’ve convinced every damn one of us if the validity of your position, you should have nothing left to add. Move along.

  17. WooHoo JonyJoe may be one of those overpaid $5.00/hr DOJ sock puppets…has about the same level of comprehension as Holder. However Michelle Bachmann has all the qualities of a TP Leader, patriot, knowledgeable, fearless and ready to Lead!
    Thanks GP!!!

  18. As usual, Congress woman Bachmann is right.

And such a marriage of Tea Partiers and the GOP would seem natural. The question of abortion needs to be clearly Pro-Life and unashamedly Pro-Life…that is clear.

That doesn’t mean the “pro-choice” conservatives will automatically be excluded (Scott Brown is “pro-choice”). But a Pro-Life stance must hold clear prominence. That’s where the Truth lies and that’s where the power of the party lies, if clearly defined.

I don’t see that as a barrier, either. If I’m not mistaken, most Tea Partiers and most Republicans are Pro-Life.

  19. The Tea Party movement is free individuals deciding on their own the best tactics to rein in an out of control government. Using the Republican Party as a vehicle to get Tea Party supporters elected is just one of those tactics.

  20. WE are an OCEAN of TEA. WE are going to take over the Republican party from the inside. A third party only guarantees the democrats win. I was at the ATLANTA Ga. Tea party event. HUGE, and just blocks from CNN central hub. They did not come outta thier rat hole to even see. Only two helicopters in the sky, FOX nat’l news and a local news crew. Here is where it gets interesting. John Oxindine (currently insurance commisioner going to run for Republican Govenor ) came out and started a stump speach. The crowd en mass BOOED him off stage. WE are the power, listen to us or perish under the wheels of a very large bus.
