A petition to recall Corruptocrat Senator Mary Landrieu has been accepted for filing by the Louisiana Secretary of State. It was reported this week that Landrieu took Obamacare bribes from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to bargain for national democratic support for her brother’s mayoral campaign. She also was accused of taking a $300 million bribe for her Obamacare vote.
The American Thinker reported:

The blog And So It Goes in Shreveport notes that a petition to recall Senator Mary Landrieu has been accepted for filing by the Louisiana Secretary of State. Citizens have 180 days to file enough signatures to get this on a ballot:

Via Caught Him With a Corndog, there is an active petition to recall Senator Mary Landrieu:

“On Dec. 29, a recall petition was filed by Ruben Leblanc of New Iberia, for the recall of Mary Landrieu. Sec. of State Jay Darden stated that he WILL accept the filing.”

Kinda like chicken fried bacon, this limited time offer won’t last. Citizens have 180 days starting Dec. 29 so get with it today if you would like to see Me-ry “Louisiana Purchase” Landrieu hit the bricks before her service is up.

Go here for details and here to see the case for a recall.

If the story reported by The Dead Pelican this weekend holds true, that she used her vote for Obamacare to bargain for national democratic support for her brother’s mayoral campaign, I’d say more than a recall is in order.

  1. Good. Theater at its best.

  2. Too delicious for words! If there are enough signers, the Dems had better start watching their backs. The people are awake and they are pi$$ed!

  3. Told ya, We surround them. The pen IS mightier than the sword. This is my preffered method of revolt.
    Let’s have a rat killin.

  4. Thanks SQUEAKY!! lol

  5. Ouch, now that’s some retribution I can sink my teeth into! It’s about time we held our crooks accountable.

  6. There is no provision in the Constitution for allowing the recall of Congressmen. With that in mind, I don’t think this petition will amount to anything.

  7. Be sure to send this to anyone you know in Louisiana or anyone who may know someone in Louisiana!

  8. aaron gardner, there are a lot of things that are being done in the white house administration that are go against the constitution, such as obamacare.

i pray for my country everyday. be at the polls in 2010 and vote out the democrats and rinos.

  9. Southernsue, I agree. But that doesn’t change what is. Just because Barry has no respect for the Constitution doesn’t mean I will follow suit.

And don’t worry, I will be at the polls. And I will continue to donate directly to candidates who deserve it.

  10. The La. Attorney General released an official opinion saying recall is NOT possible. http://www.ag.state.la.us/Shared/ViewDoc.aspx?Type=4&Doc=19389

The La. Secretary of State also released an official statement saying recall is NOT possible. http://louisianateaparty.ning.com/forum/topics/official-statement-on-recall

The ONLY recourse Mr. LeBlanc has is to take it to court and I wish him luck.

    Steve in Louisiana

  11. Ok, if its not possible then back to the contingency plan. Swords.

  12. “recall is not possible.”

It is “possible” but only every six years.
But good luck getting Louisianians to vote her out.

  13. There is always a first time for everything — What do people here think about the actual arguments presented about recalling your Senator. If they want a parliamentary system where the majority can do anything they want with the minority, then maybe we should give them exactly that. The Constitution was specifically designed to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority.

Specifically this link ‘here to see the case’ — http://louisianateaparty.ning.com/forum/topics/can-mary-landrieu-a-us-senator It’s interesting on it’s face, but I don’t know enough about Constitutional law to work my way through it’s arguments.

Remember it used to be the purvey of the States to select their Senators, one house for the sovereign people and one house for the sovereign States — The 17th Amendment fixed that delicate problem — We already broke that, and now have a little fiefdom permanent Senate, and unfunded mandates galore. How would you ever get this monstrosity of a health care bill through with the States paying for it if the States’ Senator reported to the Governor of the State.

I would bet if the ALCU was actually doing their job as laid out in their charter instead of being a lapdog farce for the liberals … We should examine this issue form all angles!

Another way to go at this is the get the SC to limit the scope of the commerce clasue —

  14. Can we recall Omaba
