Obama's Joker McCaskill: "It's OK if I Don't Get Re-elected"

Harry Reid doesn’t have to buy her vote.
Faithful democratic Senate voter and Obama lackey, Senator Claire McCaskill, said in an interview published today that, “It’s OK if I don’t get re-elected.”
Agreed.
The Wall Street Journal reported:
Freshman Sen. Claire McCaskill uttered seven words rarely heard from a sitting lawmaker: “It’s OK if I don’t get re-elected.”
In a profile in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Tuesday, the Missouri Democrat, who was elected just three years ago, offered some uncommon candor on life in the Senate and her frustration with the way Washington works.
“I’m very frustrated with some of the habits around here,” she said. “What happens around here is that so many people are more focused on getting everybody to love them and getting re-elected than they are on solving the really hard stuff. Because when you solve hard stuff, you make people mad.”
As she reassesses how to spend the second half of her first term, McCaskill said she is going to focus more on a top priority—government accountability—and less on 2012. “I’ve just kind of decided that, hey, I’m just going to do this, and Missouri’s hard, so there’s a chance, you know, that I won’t get re-elected. And if I don’t, that’s OK. It’s not the end of the world.”
In related hilarity, liberal Senator Blanche Lincoln, who voted for Obamacare with Claire McCaskill, ripped into the Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson’s Cornhusker Kickback.

This kind of points out how term limits are dangerous. If a sitting congresscritter has no incentive to listen to their constituency, they can pass whatever crazy things they feel like passing, like, say, a governmental destruction of the country’s healthcare system.

But when so many vote contrary to the majority of their constituents, there ought to be a way to get them out. On the federal level, if the president can be term-limited, everybody else should be too.

#5 Marie, I think you are right on target and I hope more people start seeing it. Too many of them are too disinterested in re-election and it doesn’t make sense. When it doesn’t make sense, you can be sure they are up to something.
I say it’s either coming election fraud, as you propose, or a nice “prize” or position promised them when they leave office….or both.

This has just been another launching pad to get where she wants to be. Anyone who has followed her career, steps, money can tell you what she is up to. There were reasons that the state senate decided who went to Washington, so they could be recalled if necessary. I wrote to McCaskill that if she didn’t stop being an Obama follower and start being a leader with Missouri’s interests first, she’d face electoral defeat in 2012. I guess her response was through the Post-Dispatch interview. Since I dont read the Post-Dispatch, I wouldn’t have known her response if I hadn’t read it hear — so thanks for reporting on it. What a shame this millionaire sycophant cant take correction from citizens or learn from her mistakes. To the billions this health care “reform” disaster will cost middle-class Americans, add the costs to Missouri of cap and trade if she votes for it and that passes! Maybe we could redistribute wealth by prorating Senate salaries — at $17 million net worth, McCaskill would end up owing money for her “service” to Missouri. 2012 cant come soon enough.

For a party in which its members claim they don’t care if they get reelected–they will be working to pass a bill called Universal Registration. This bill will take away registration powers from the states and give them to the Federal Govt. So if you go for a Driver’s License you will be automatically registered. The same is true if you collect Unemployment or Welfare. So Illegals having Driver’s Licenses will mean they will also have the right to vote.
This can be taken to court but by the time its adjudicated the 2010 election will be over.
