Oh my. Barack Obama was heckled at his Bush-bash rally in BOSTON… Of all places, at a university in Boston?
And it went on for 3-4 minutes.
It was his usual talk. He bashed the productive people in America and pushed redistribution.
Elitist Obama also bashed Scott Brown for driving a truck.
The venue holds 3,000 but only 2,000 to 2,500 showed up… including the abortion protesters.

I couldn’t figure out what the hecklers were saying, but it went on for awhile. Then later there was video of secret service or security or somebody walking out a couple, and a young boy, about 10. I turned it off. I thought Obama’s audiences were hand-picked. Guess this race caught them off guard.

This is happening at my university right now, so let me give some facts:
- This was not advertised to the student body by the University. This was an event open to the Boston public, and was advertised by the Boston newspapers.
- You had to be here by 7am to be among those to get in the doors. That means those Obama hecklers had nothing else to do today but line up early in the morning, wait in line for at least 8 hours, and listen to Martha Coakley just to cause a ruckus in front of this man. Tell me that’s not pathetic.
Hopefully those here who read this blog have more sense than to root on who I see as a few people with all too much time on their hands, and some misguided passion. There’s disagreeing with a President’s policies, and there’s extremism like this.

I was at the rally today, and the above quote is NOT accurate. By 1pm the event was beyond capacity and thousands were unable to show their support inside. Many went to an overflow room or stood outside to cheer for Coakley.

Anyone who lined up today from 6a, since last night, had WAY too much time on their hands. Not just the dissenters. My beef is, instead, with this:
Freedom of speech allows people to intelligently express their thoughts and concerns. As I see it, these people lined up for hours to have ten seconds of fame, unintelligibly screaming things on live television that I couldn’t understand. What a waste!
It kills me that people are willing to do that, but not anything else productive in voicing their concerns. You’ve gotta wonder what their motive is, because what they’ve done today told me /nothing/ about their beliefs…Except for that they’re unhappy with the President. Which we all already know.
My hope is that we, as a society, turn to civilized argument and intelligent conversation rather than sound-bombing each others’ rallies. It’s unproductive, and gives each side a bad name. To promote this behavior is, in my view, irresponsible to society.

Hopefully you have more sense than to actually believe any of us here find your point of view persuasive. This is especially true considering the heckling at this Coakley rally is the exact type of behavior many on the Left have been engaging in constantly since the 1960s despite your desire to act as both sides engage in this type of behavior equally.
Personally, I don’t support nor have I ever supported protests like this person engaged in during Obama’s speech. I find the behavior childish and actually demeaning to the person engaging it. It simply doesn’t help one’s cause to be acting like this. Nonetheless, as I wrote, many on the Left have been engaging in this exact type of behavior for decades. Many on the Left even celebrated some scumbag Iraqi moron throwing a shoe at Bush when he was the President of the U.S.
So, save the lectures for someone else. You can keep posting as if the sides are equally culpable for this type of behavior, but they simply are not. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to be civil and find common ground with Lefty acquaintances on matters of public policy only to be insulted and talked to by them like I were stupid or evil.
Anyway, when the Right celebrates a movie in which Obama is assassinated, like the Left did with the Bush assassination movie “Death of a President,” maybe you’ll have a point, but until then you should save your Rodney King-like speeches for the Left.

Your information is twisted, however I do understand why this is the message:

The campus was flooded. A highly energized crowd was directed to various buildings in which rooms and halls were flooded with viewers. The room that Obama spoke in WAS NOT filled to its capacity by no means.
As for the truck…it was not mentioned during the rally nearly as much as it has been mentioned on Brown’s campaign thus far. Nobody knocks the fact that the man drives a truck, the fact is that this guy has resorted to Palin politics. “I am just like you”. Who cares what he drives. The question is can and how will he drive our state/country to change?
The ONLY change, if he does get in…is the R beside his name. Other than that it is more of the same republican right that will (and did) lead us in the wrong direction.
We all have a right to vote, and a right to speak our minds…just don’t become delusional about facts.

Sure thing, Sarah. If you can’t see the different between Coakley and Brown, such as one is going to support the horrific health care plan and one isn’t – then you haven’t been paying attention. Also, if we were going in the “wrong direction” prior to Obama taking office, where do you think we are now? It looks to me like we’ve gone from jogging in the wrong direction to a full sprint.
How much credibility do you, Obama, and the rest of the Dems have to complain about anything? You’ve had a year and it’s been a disaster. For example, deficits and spending under Bush were problematic, and many conservatives complained about it. However, not only did Dems not push for any spending cuts during Bush’s eight years, including during the time they had control of Congress from 2006 on, but in less than one year since Obama took office the Dems have increased both spending and the deficits to record amounts. Or how about the need for a useless deficit-increasing stimulus package that was supposedly needed to prevent unemployment from reaching 8 percent when it was passed and unemployment now sits at 10 percent? How about the pledge to close Gitmo this month that won’t happen because Obama over-promised without properly analyzing his options?
I could go on and on, but what’s the point. You’ll keep complaining about what happened before Obama took office when since that point, things have gotten worse than ever. Our economy is resilient and would have improved much more than it has over the past 12 months if there wasn’t so much uncertainty and big government power grabs taking place on the part of Obama & Co. For example, what kind of a moron pledges to increases taxes and bank fees in the middle of an economic downturn? One with a background in community organizing and without any education or experience in business or economics, that’s who. The man-child President is in way over his head, as anyone can see.

I have been a lifetime democrat of over 45 years. I will be voting for Scott Brown in the coming election. All my friends are Democrats and they too are voting for Brown. We are so fed up with the lies that are coming from Washington that is why we are voting for Brown. You see we don’t belong to any Union, we are just working stiffs who are tired of paying for people who don’t work or are in Unions who work very little but think they deserve more than the regular people who work hard for a living.
