Liberal bloggers lashed out at DC democrats after last night’s stunning loss. The nutroots blamed the defeat on the adminstration saying the Obama White House did not promote radical enough legislation. The administration needs to push “true” progressive legislation and not “watered down centrist policies.”
Go with it, libs. Go with it.

Burn another trillion or two on another failed stimulus plan and watch what happens in November.
The Huffington Post reported:
It took more than half a decade, countless American and Iraqi deaths in a war based on lies, a sinking economy and the drowning of an American city to finally kill Bush-Cheney-Rove’s dream of a conservative realignment.
Democrats, controlling the White House and both houses of Congress, have managed to kill their own dream of dominance in 12 months.
How did it happen?
Theories abound, but two diametrically opposed narratives have taken hold:
The first, promulgated by conservatives, is that the new administration has moved too far to the left and alienated a large swath of independent and moderate voters.
The second, pushed by progressive activists and bloggers, is that the administration hasn’t been true enough to fundamental Democratic principles, has embraced some of Bush’s worst excesses on civil liberties, and has ditched popular ideas (like the public option) in favor of watered down centrist policies, thus looking weak and ineffectual.
The conservative argument is unpersuasive. After years of a systematic effort by the right to use Overton-style tactics to radicalize our national discourse, the center has moved so far right that the left is barely recognizable. With a military surge in Afghanistan, a denuded health insurance bill limping through Congress, Bush-era detainee policies reinforced, a deflated climate summit, and a windfall year for bankers, among other things, it’s almost ludicrous to claim that the new administration is run by a gang of lefties.

I’m glad the “conservative position is unpersuasive” because it’s accurate. The more the Left believes this, the more they’ll do precisely the things that will get them tossed out of office for the next 20 years. Mush, little Lefties, mush!

You can’t expect the Kos fanatics to put the brakes on their own bad behavior.
With any luck, a number of Dems will see this as a threat to their jobs, which it is. They needed to start listening to their constituents last year. But now will do.

If this doesn’t prove “Liberalism is a mental disorder”, nothing does.
BertoGem commented:
Either the Huffington Posters are delusional or I am. Obama is too far to the right? WTF? I get chest pains watching these Demsoc in action. Have we become so divided as a nation that we must split up? Or can we just send the Demsocs to live in Cuba?

Couldn’t agree more!
IOpian commented:
When one begins with a delusional conjecture then a delusional solution is the only possible result. Anyone who thinks Obama is too far to the right… is delusional.
jainphx commented:
Yeah that’s the ticket, go further left, that’ll make things right! Goodness mercy can’t believe that so many can be so deluded, but then again as Spider Man said they are insane.

My hope is that the Democrat party will soon find the strength to purge itself of this far-left virus that had taken control of their platform and send it back from whence it came; back to the socialist/communist fringe, where they belong – and that for all eternity.
Bill Mitchell commented:
WHY DO PROGRESSIVES CALL THEMSELVES “PROGRESSIVE”?:
The word “progressive” implies the idea of moving forward or doing something new and better – in a word, “progressing”.
But the things Progressives espouse are not new. Russia tried them from 1917 till 1991 and we all know how THAT turned out.
This is like a pile of s**t calling itself “Future Pooh” when its the same old crap we’ve had for years.

I guess the lie was that terrorists exist in Afghanistan.

Yes, it’s only because things are not far left enough that the progressives will vote for a right wing republican instead of a democrap who is much closer to the leftwing agenda than would be that republican. Makes perfect sense if your brain has withered because of excessive amounts of illegal drugs and koolaid.
This is the same type of lame thinking that Rahmbo has been peddling to his sheeple democraps in Congress. Voters chose republicans in 1994 not because democraps were trying to push a wildly unpopular leftwing agenda including Hillarycare, but because the democraps either failed to pass it or it wasn’t radical enough. So choosing republicans is the left’s way of punishing centrist leftwing democraps? What a wonderland world view.
jim from cleveland commented:
Of course, the Huffington Post is loony. Of course, lefties are silly to the point of being dangerous. But millions of people bought into the multimillion-dollar publicity machine that convinced them that a left-wing dope should be running the country. Anyone who thought that this guy was going to govern from the middle and unite the country is a fool. The Blowhard’s left-wing pedigree was there for all to see.

Everyone knows that Brown won because of voter suppression. Even though there was a large turnout, the dead vote was remarkably absent. No explanation was given for this, but it has been suggested that the Coakley get-out-the-vote effort was not as diverse as the Kennedy effort had been in the past. It has also been suggested that a certain GM pickup was seen with bags of absentee ballots in the bed.
Denial – not just a river in Egypt any more.

Seriously, WTF could they possibly be smoking? It doesn’t get any clearer than this in political terms.

The Huffington Post is over-rated.
Michael commented:
Of course the progressives will blame defeat on the ignorance of the masses. They have to double down and force their utopian policies on us boobs. I expect Obama to act more aggressively to destroy capitalism and take away personal liberties. McCaskill’s analysis that Dems moved too far too fast is only a different spin; we common folk just can’t think fast enough to appreciate how the Dems want to take care of us.

- Except that all those things were forced upon the Obama administration by contact with objective and/or political reality. Given their druthers, they would have done the opposite, and to the extent they could (KSM trial, etc.) they have. They are trying to take the Country to a place to which it does not want to go, and the harder they try the more trouble they will have.

Hey libs! Keep shooting that foot! It looks bad now but if you keep shooting it it might grow back!
BTW: I’ve got some ammo to sell you! Cheap!

In other words, the Democrats lost big last night because they were not enough out of touch with the electorate. Yeah, that sounds right.
