Progressive Talk Radio Channel Air America Closes Shop

Air America, the liberal alternative to conservative talk radio, abruptly closed its doors today.
ABC News reported:
Air America Radio, a radio network that was launched in 2004 as a liberal alternative to Rush Limbaugh and other conservative commentators, on Thursday shut down abruptly due to financial woes.
The network once boasted hosts such as Al Franken and Rachel Maddow, but struggled from the outset, including multiple management shake-ups, a bankruptcy in 2006 and sale for $4.25 million the following year.

What a shame. I guess their radical propaganda didn’t resonate with the American public. No worries. They still have tax funded PBS to get their propaganda out on the air. They’ll use this as an excuse to clamp down on dissent. Don’t ever think that these idiots are finished. They’ll get more stimulus money to keep “the dream alive”. These people are dangerous. Well, I am still waiting to hear what happened about Air America accepting funds from that children’s charity in New York. Remember one of the founders was on the board of that children’s charity and gave or lent Air America that money and as far as I know Air America never paid it back. And everything the liberals do is for the children or so they say. What they mean is for us to give to the children and they will intercept the money for their own ends.

I wish I could believe that AirAmerica is truly done, but we’ve been told this same story many times before. Then George Soros evidently cut another big check and they continued on for another couple of years.
I’m afraid that Air America will always be with us, well into the Sarah Palin Administration and beyond.

The New York-based network said its “painstaking search for new investors” came close to succeeding even this week, “but ultimately fell short.”
How would you like to be the last “investor” that wrote the check. Something I learned long ago in the stock market, never try to catch a falling knife.
I think they are confusing “investors” with “donors”. Meanwhile the rest of media looks for listeners and advertisers.
