You know it’s bad when you’re a hard core leftist and even Jon Stewart is mocking you:
Via BreitbartTV
Obama spoke to 6th Graders in Falls Church, Virginia on Tuesday January 19, 2010.
He brought his TelePrompter… To a grade school.

That’s just sad.

Is there some reason this man can’t use index cards? It is a long-used, unobtrusive tool for public speaking. No one expects a president to have every line memorized, especially when so many occasions arise for public speaking. Surely, the WH budget can afford a steady supply. Oh, they might have to put some limits on that fancy meat and scratch a cocktail party here and there. Every one must sacrifice, right?

Duncan, isn’t that the degenerate safe school czar? He brought him to a classful of children? If I were a parent of those children, I would be very upset.

Chris, birth place aside. To study in Indonesia you must be a citizen. Dual citizenship not allowed for office of President. Father not a citizen of U.S. requirement for office of President. Foreign student loan for Occidental for his masters degree.
Just show me the passport you used to get into or out of Indonesia.

About as appropriate as bringing a “security blanket” to a UN meeting. (fortunately for all, he didn’t appear to suck his thumb once through the entire presentation-way to go Barry!)

The Real Obama
The Obama Myth rests on three assumptions: (a) Obama is a nonideological pragmatist; (b) Obama is an uncommonly powerful communicator; and (c) Obama has a gut connection with the people. All three are wrong. Only the Democrats’ fantasy that opposition to their agenda is limited to a lunatic fringe has blinded them from seeing the president’s liabilities. Let’s open their eyes.

This clown Obama illustrates on a daily basis why many claims of his supporters are laughable. For example, claims that he has a towering intellect, is the greatest orator in generations, and is a strong leader. He’s none of that. Basically, those supporting him have tried their best to position him as the anti-George W. Bush based on their often false descriptions of Bush.
I don’t see a “towering intellect” but instead a fealty to a far left ideology that trumps any rational analysis and critical-thinking skills. I don’t see “the greatest orator in generations,” just someone who has a smooth delivery and strong cadence when joined by his telepromoter but can’t speak extemporaneously in a fluid manner (i.e., he has much more in common with Bush in this area than he doesn’t). And I don’t see a “strong leader,” just someone who is in way over his head, which is why he yielded so much of the “leadership” on health care to Pelosi and Reid while he made sanctimonious speeches devoid of reality and ignoring the concerns of the majority of U.S. citizens.
The only thing I will give him credit for is his ability to fool around 52% of voters during the 2008 campaign, though he was certainly helped by his standing as the first minority candidate nominated by either major party, the mainstream media’s complicity in helping him get elected, the weakness of the GOP’s candidate and campaign strategy in ’08, and the ridiculous financial advantage he had in the ’08 campaign (with some of his hundreds of millions seeming to be obtained through questionable means).

Will they buy teleprompters for thousands of teachers so they can read the daily propoganda for shaping the minds of the smaller working class?

Peggy,
Did you see the speech in which he used index cards (maybe it was the Nobel acceptance or Copenhagen perhaps)? He looked like a bird feeding. “*look down, look left* ummm blah blah *look down, look right* umm blah blah green stuff *look down, look center*” repeat.

Just in the past week Obama has attacked Brown for driving a truck. He has said that Congressional Dems think they’re in office to get reelected and now he stands in a class room with a teleprompter and a little Obama rug. Arrogant idiot.
When we laugh he loses the power to hurt us.

Obama is going to make a speech to Republicans on Friday. Mr. Headline a Day will chase the parade now that he is no longer leading it.
Joanne commented:
The guy is a horrible orator, he knows it, and he isn’t going to make any speech without his teleprompters less the world recognizes that he can’t make a speech worth a d@mn and humiliate him for it. The left humiliated Bush for his oratory skills, but at least Bush didn’t travel with teleprompters and back-up teleprompters.
TheScribbler commented:
Did Obama take any questions from the 6th graders? “Mr Obama, when are you going to help my daddy get a JOB?” etc… He’s not accomplished enough in speaking to speak to our children without a teleprompter and yet the Left touts his speech giving skills to the heavens. I never saw/heard a speech of his that kept me riveted to my seat. I bet that two minutes in to his presentation that those poor kids were zoned out and wishing that they were study something fun like…math.
Peggy commented:
MANstream,
Oh, I had no idea he was so bad. He needs training in public speaking. How was he able to stay on his talking points during all those debates…and even say a few possibly spontaneous things?
And the left wants to mock GW Bush’s speaking skills.
Buffalobob commented:
A pilot for a new show. Are you smarter than a sixth grader?

Those little maggots are just looking for the smallest misstep by our President. You don’t go into jungles like that without a teleprompter.

So much for the claims that he is an orator. He is a weak speaker.
AuntieMadder commented:
Yesterday the lefturds were here in full force, letting us know that Obamao didn’t use the teleprompters when speaking to the sixth graders, that the teleprompters were used only for the meeting he had with the press there at the school the same day. Okay, fair enough.
So, now I ask the lefturds this: How does it feel to have Jon Stewart make fun of Obamao’s using telepromters when talking to sixth graders when that’s not what actually happened? That’s the kind of BS that Stewart and the rest of your libtarded comedians and reporters did to Bush for eight years and you reveled in it. Are you reveling now? Where are the guffaws and belly laughs? I can’t hear you. Idiots.

OT.. by Bob Herbert of the New York Times
after pimping for Obama for several years (and
a few more to come i’m sure), now they ask??
Who is Barack Obama?
[Mr. Obama may be personally very appealing, but he has positioned himself all over the political map: the anti-Iraq war candidate who escalated the war in Afghanistan; the opponent of health insurance mandates who made a mandate to buy insurance the centerpiece of his plan; the president who stocked his administration with Wall Street insiders and went to the mat for the banks and big corporations, but
who is now trying to present himself as a born-again populist.
Mr. Obama is in danger of being perceived as someone whose rhetoric, however skillful, cannot always be trusted. He is creating a credibility
gap for himself, and if it widens much more he won’t be able to close it.
Mr. Obama’s campaign mantra was “change” and most of his supporters took that to mean that he would change the way business was done in Washington and that he would reverse the disastrous economic policies that favored mega-corporations and the very wealthy at the expense of the middle class and the poor.
[..]
These less-than-candid instances are emblematic of much bigger problems. Mr. Obama promised during the campaign that he would be a different kind of president, one who would preside over a more open, more high-minded administration that would be far more in touch with the economic needs of ordinary working Americans. But no sooner was he elected than he put together an economic team that would protect, above all, the interests of Wall Street, the pharmaceutical industry, the health insurance companies, and so on.
How can you look out for the interests of working people with Tim Geithner whispering in one ear and Larry Summers in the other?
[..]
Mr. Obama will deliver his State of the Union address Wednesday night. The word is that he will offer some small bore assistance to the middle class. But more important than the content of this speech will be whether the president really means what he says. Americans want to know what he stands for, where his line in the sand is, what he’ll really fight for, and where he wants to lead this nation.
They want to know who their president really is.]
too little too late, guess they’re either in desperate need of
funds, or Obama’s ready to chew them up & spit them out..

yes, a lot of people said that.. however, as i & others also stated.. if not for bloggers such as GP, posters like you & me pounding our keyboards, then along came the Tea Party, etc.. how far would getting the message out have gotten??
ergo, sitting back & doing nothing would have accomplished nothing, that was my point all along.. i am elated things are finally turning around, but there’s still no time to sit back & wait for elections, we have to our best in whatever way can to keep the momentum going & make it happen!!
