Once again, could you imagine if a Republican would have said this?
Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA) tells Republican Michele Bachmann to, “Act like a lady!”
Act like a lady?
Glenn Thrush reported on Arlen’s attack:
The deeply odd couple of Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Penn.) and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) appeared together on a Philly radio station yesterday — and things got ugly in short order.
The exchange, broadcast on 1210 AM’s Dom Giordano Show [but not archived on the station's site], began when Specter challenged Bachmann to articulate what, exactly, she stands for, according to a readout on the clash published by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s lively Early Returns blog.
Bachmann first laid out her agenda — cutting taxes and killing President Obama’s health reform bill — at considerable length.
When Specter tried to counter, Bachmann, darling of the Tea Party movement, kept on talking, which didn’t sit well with the one-time Philadelphia DA, who is a stickler for politeness and protocol.
“I’m going to treat you like a lady,” Mr. Specter shot back. “Now act like one.”
Ms. Bachmann replied, “I am a lady.”

Arlen Specter succinctly demonstrates how arrogant senators are after some time in DC. Most of the members of congress think they should be treated as if they are gods. If Specter is so brilliant he should know, without asking, what Ms. Bachmann voted on. I imagine that after the Massachusetts debacle he will change political parties.

I strongly support an age limit, and mandatory retirement age of 69 in all government positions, President, Senate, House, Supreme Court…all of them. I am not the only one who notices as these folks start to get age on them, they really start to go “lib” in how they think. Spector was the defense attorney for the guy who chopped up his wife/girlfriend, (can’t remember the living status) and kept her in a trunk in his house. He then fled to Europe I believe. He is the guy who help to found earth day. Years ago when Spector was a rep. I ran across this tidbit of information, and that never did sit well with me. The story was a lifetime television for liberal women channel. I think he was finally captured and returned to US, anyway somewhat OT but another strike against him.

I read or heard a couple of comments stating that Bachman had too much baggage. I havent researched enough to know what they were talking about. All the times I have seen her she seemed sharp as a tack and is a good family person, 5 kids I believe. Liberals just hate smart, articulate and especially good looking conservative women. Now I am being petty, but just think about the liberal women vs conservative women in politics, on the view, on the news and the current democratic party and the images of the two great are VERY contrasting.

I can envision a commercial called “Mean Old Man” with some photos and recordings including this one.
