Wow. Rasmussen reported today that Republican Mike Castle leads likely democrat Chris Coons 56% to 27% in the Delaware Senate race:

A first look at Delaware’s U.S. Senate race following Beau Biden’s decision not to run shows why Democrats were hoping Biden would enter the race.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely Delaware voters shows longtime GOP congressman Mike Castle leading New Castle County Executive Chris Coons 56% to 27%. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and 13% are undecided.

The survey was taken Monday night following the announcement by Biden, the state’s Democratic attorney general, that he will not run for the Senate. In October, Castle led Biden 47% to 42% in a hypothetical match-up for the seat Biden’s father, now the vice president, held for 36 years.

The younger Biden’s decision, coming just after the upset GOP Senate win in Massachusetts, still took Democrats by surprise, particularly in a state that has trended blue in recent years.

  1. Evan Bayh may lose his Senate seat in Indiana to Mike Pence. He’s trailing him 47%-44% in a new Rasmussen poll today.

Bless the American people, a huge election mistake was made, they understood it quickly and are countering Obama and the Democrat socialist clown posse.

It’s hilarious visting WaPo daily since Brown’s election as they desperately crank out daily Obama fluff pieces with the comments overwhelmingly and savagely mocking them.

  2. destroy the liberals.

  3. When is the term up?

  4. Since Joe Biden just got re-elected Senator in 2008, this is a special election for the remainder of his term until 2014.

The problem with Mike Pence is that he just announced he will not run against Bayh. That leaves us with just Hostettler who is down three points 44 to 41 (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2010/senate/in/indiana_senate_hostettler_vs_bayh-1173.html).

The other problem is that because Castle is not running for his House seat, we will probably lose it along with Louisiana 2 so we need to capture 42 seats in the House to make up for those two and regain control of the House. We should capture at least 47 new seats (http://www.marstonchronicles.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=296&Itemid=1130).

  5. Across the river here in IL, Patrick Hughes is hoping for a moneybomb today. He has low expectations of $50K.

Surprise him if you can help:

  6. When is this election?

  7. Don’t get too excited Conservatives about Castle, unfortunately he is a RINO so……
I think Pence may have decided not to run because we won’t get a majority in the Senate, and if he loses his Cong. seat to a DEm that would be bad, but they must be seeing the possibility of retaining his Cong. seat because we may be able to take enough Congr. seats to take the majority since ALL congressman are up for re-election in Nov. as opposed to only 1/3 of the Senate. Just a thought. Love Mike Pence.
