Obama’s Joker Senator Claire McCaskill today told CNN:
“I think it is unfair and, frankly, political to take pot shots at the president as we respond to this failure in our systems that we’ve got to get fixed.”
Of course, Claire is certainly not the one to go pointing fingers.
Back in September 2006 Claire McCaskill told a group of local elected officials, which included white and black Democrats, that she would remind people over the course of her campaign against Republican Sen. Jim Talent that:
“George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black.”
Of course this was not only a vicious attack but it was untrue.
At least, there are no public records of “poor, blacks dying on rooftops” before military rescuers could get to them. Just like there are no records of blacks in New Orleans eating corpses to survive!
According to the State of Louisiana there were no statistics taken on the number of poor, black deaths on rooftops in New Orleans, Louisiana, after Hurricane Katrina.
Today Claire McCaskill lectured Republicans about taking unfair potshots at the president.

But there were video accounts of Walmart stores being pillaged by those poor black folks under the “watchful” eyes of black New Orleans cops and an account of an off duty New Orleans cop driving a spanking new Caddy Escalade right off the lot and to Beaumont Texas sans any paperwork whatever.
Wonder why that never registered in D.C. or McCaskills pea brain?

We should all love libturds and their hypocrisy. Let’s review some profitable democreep financial ventures. Early on it was fertilizer tanks for Billy Sol Estes, Mizz Johnson’s broadcasting empire, cattle futures, Dominican vacation homes, NYC rent controlled apartments, limousine service, summer camp costs, unpaid property taxes, Nevada land deals etc.
Democorupts are a self-sacrificing lot dedicated to the poor and the downtrodden and of course fraud and most importantly self-enrichment always on the taxpayers back.

Again, I agree with Glenn Beck on this one in that there was plenty of blame to go around, starting with Nagin and Blanco and ending with FEMA and GWB. I think the point is that when the system failed the people of New Orleans, McCaskill pointed her finger at Bush, accusing him of hating poor blacks. When the system failed on Christmas day 2009, McCaskill doesn’t appreciate fingers being pointed at the current POTUS.

However, I can tell you that a number of blacks were killed in N.O. by the police. Mostly looters, criminals and thieves. I heard from cops that were there. They tolerated NO crime. In one case a stolen car full of criminals tried to flee N.O. into the next parish. The sheriff and his posse didn’t like them coming from N.O. during normal times, crime was a cancer in that city, and certainly wasn’t going to let them into his area of responsibility. They were warned but tried to push through. The result was a car riddled with different caliber bullets and a bunch of dead gang bangers.
That was what happened in N.O., a little “purging” done by decent men and women tired of watching animals run their city.

I live in a Central Texas city that facilitates evacuees from storms along the Texas/ Louisianna coast. We have a closed base and other areas where we accomodate these people. We receive 25-50% of evacuees during every storm/hurricane.
During every one of these hurricanes there are approx 10-20% of the population that will not leave. ” We ride these out” is the most common excuse. Unfortunatly many die riding these out.

The US Coast Guard risked their lives day in and day out saving the “we ride these out” people. Also the National Guard was there right up to the water line, but trucks don’t run in water, so they couldn’t get in.
The same thing happened with Ike, 2 years later. People didn’t evacuate and they died.

Mayor Nagin left town with his family. He had no evacuation plan or made any effort to help the people of this city. All those busses you can see flooded could have gotten those people out. It is the cities and states responsibility to take care of its citizens, not the Presidents’.
And the levee money that had been coming to La for years from the Federal Gov’t got used on other things than fixing the levee. My husband is a native Texan and he says La is the crookedest state in the country.
