61% of US voters want Congress to drop Obamacare.
…But, not Barack Obama.
The unpopular president told an Ohio audience today that he is far from giving up on his radical health care plan.
Rasmussen reported:
Sixty-one percent (61%) of U.S. voters say Congress should drop health care reform and focus on more immediate ways to improve the economy and create jobs.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 30% of voters nationwide disagree and think Congress should press ahead with health care.
Fifty-nine percent (59%) say given the country’s current economic situation, the Obama administration should wait on health care reform until the economy improves. That’s a 10-point increase from March of last year. Thirty-three percent (33%) still say the White House should move forward with health care reform.
Seventy percent (70%) of voters nationwide say the health care issue was important in the special Senate election in Massachusetts. That number includes 49% who say it was very important. Only 15% think the health care issue was not very or not at all important in the Tuesday election.

2012 Presidential Poll
For the first time in one of our monthly polls looking ahead to the 2012 Presidential election Barack Obama trails one of his hypothetical opponents, albeit by the smallest of margins.
Mike Huckabee has a 45-44 advantage over Obama, aided largely by a 44-38 lead with independents.

Also he needs to buy a tie, he’s no longer in the hood. No wonder Clinton confused him with a waiter/waitress.
He want’s to look like the Iranian leader “Almadinnerjacket” who also doesn’t wear a tie. very unprofessional for a President.
It’s hard to take him seriously when he he looks like a bum off the street.
Even michelle was aghast at his lack of decorum.

Kinda’ makes me wonder what planet that 15% lives on. Republicans and Independents were more than willing to let Brown’s position on other topics slide, as long as he guaranteed to be the 41st vote against ObamaCare – the topic was THAT critical to the entire election. Why do those folks think the President stopped whatever he was doing and raced to Massachusetts to campaign for Coakley? He did so in a desperate, last minute move to SAVE his parties 60 seat super-majority and, thus, that final Senate vote that probably would have already been held, had Coakley won!
Just the threat of being “41″ has changed American political history in a way that none of us can totally comprehend. If and when we DO have health care reform, I doubt it will be legislation crafted in a back room, passed with vote bribery and special considerations for unions and others. For that we can thank God for Scott Brown and the voters of Massachusetts.
Dell commented:
Oh, and as for Obama and his “campaign rhetoric” in Ohio?
Rahm will undoubtedly have a little chat with Obama right quick and we’ll see that promised “pivot” move to matters far more important.

Friend in Cleveland tells me that even the local public radio station was taking shots at Obummer following the speech. Critiqued his attempt at trying be “just folk” by droppin’ his G’s. Apparently he was in full-on folksy mode droppin’ G’s left and right. The public radio person commented about how he was a Harvard educated professional (presumably, right?) and he should sound like one. Something about panderin’ and how it just didn’t ring true. Frankly, I’m not too impressed with what these and other Harvard grads have done for the country.

In my post “Don’t forget the money angle, Paul”, on my blog, I go a bit into Obama’s Messiah complex, concluding…
What makes him so dangerous is this attitude makes it extremely difficult for him to compromise in the face of reality. Bill Clinton could see the writing on the wall and adapt to changing circumstances as easily as breathing. Obama simply cannot.
So, if you figure on him seeing the light anytime soon; well… don’t hold your breath.

The 61% figure just proves how stupid Americans are. Fortunately, we have the Democrats who will give us what we need and not what we want. The way this so called “Health Care Bill” is being done is like putting a bomb and a box of hammers into a room filled with spider monkeys. Obama wants them to keep hammering away until it goes off in their faces. Those of us who are not in the room have known all along that it will not end well. Now some of the spider monkeys are looking at each other wondering if they should give that bomb another whack or just stop before the explosion. Now Obama is going to use his hammer on the reluctant spider monkeys.

It seems that some of the Dems in the House are going to try by reconciliation to get Obamacare passed–yes yet again. While in the Senate Tom Harkin (D) will try to get rid of the Filibuster–although he needs an impossible to achieve 67 votes. To me its a Hail Mary pass–a sort of Win One For the Gipper because they can’t allow the media to claim Obama is out there by himself on this.
In the end the normal Dems in Congress will look at this boondoggle and say enough is enough. Screw Obama — the ship of state is sinking and its every man for himself.

I had to laugh at yesterday’s Town Hall speech in Ohio. Obama kept saying it wasn’t about him. Then he invoked the third person over and over as though he was acting as his own advocate. If Obama fails we all fail blah blah.

BHO is really, really Mentally Ill and unstable!! More than just Narcissicitic Personality Disorder. Went back and viewed the Town Hall Video. He paces back and forth. He never really answered the 83 year old lady’s question regarding the COLA for Seniors. He mentioned that we, the USA, are not in an Inflationary Status but quite the opposite. Then, finally, from The American Thinker, he used “I” / “me” more than any President in History to include Abraham Lincoln, Reagan, and Jefferson in an analysis. Last week American Thinker listed what little there is about The Won in the book “Game Change”. Yes! Yes!! The Won is mentally ill. (American Thinker Titles from last week on BO are “Game Change and Obama” etc.) He is not an Emperor or Caesar but BHO thinks he is. Danger Will Robinson!! …
