US Consulate Car Tried to Run Over Israeli Checkpoint Guard

A US diplomatic vehicle from East Jerusalem tried to run over an Israeli sucurity guard at a border checkpoint last month.
FOX News reported:

An American diplomatic vehicle allegedly tried to run over an Israeli security guard at a border checkpoint in Israel last month, setting off a diplomatic scuffle that is straining relations between the two nations, the Jerusalem Post reported.

In an episode that was reportedly caught on tape, a five-car U.S. convoy was stopped at the Gilboa border crossing in the northern West Bank on Nov. 13 but refused to identify themselves or open any windows or doors for inspection by Israeli security.

What followed, according to the Post, was recorded in an official report that has kicked up a diplomatic dust storm in Israel.

Drivers in the American convoy blocked the crossing, the report says, tried running over a Defense Ministry security guard and made indecent gestures at female guards, the Jerusalem Post reported.

The incident led to a testy meeting five days later, when U.S. and Israeli officials met in Jerusalem to discuss the case and at least one other involving a Palestinian woman who was found in a U.S. diplomatic car without appropriate documentation.

The U.S. response, the Post noted, further angered Israeli officials: the chief regional security officer reportedly told his Israeli counterparts that “simple guards had no authority to inspect senior diplomats.

Israel Matsav reported that Israel has a long and sordid history with the American consulate in ‘East’ Jerusalem, which actually functions as the US embassy to the ‘Palestinians.’

Next time they need to open fire. Israelis are getting a little lax on there security. American security forces would have opened fire first and ask questions afterwards. Checkpoints are there for a reason, try and run a checkpoint at the airport and see what happens.

And what are American diplomatic personnel doing transporting Palestinian terrorists in there car. When I was in the military, our number one rule while in foreign countries was to respect and abide by those countries laws.

To a simple American this is clearly non-sense. While that ‘simple guard’ may not go perusing through someone’s briefcase looking for secret documents, he has every right to check out the vehicle for bombs and such. Claiming that asking for the identification of a diplomat is somehow protected is silly. With this logic, how could ANYONE EVER be asked for Identification?

Why does this sound like the logic of the Obama Administration? Insane thinking twisted into something that no person anywhere could recognize. Looking at the reports, it is time to replace the entire staff in that embasy.

Rotten behavior is US State Department SOP with w/r/t Israel and now has been ratcheted up by the White House occupant.
The US Jerusalem Consulate serves muslim terrorists, not Jewish Israelis. Why doesn’t Israel just kick the whole shebang through the check point and let the “diplomats” rot there with their terrorist buddies?

Israel could simply declare the East Jerusalem Consulate non-persona and have them expelled followed by closing the consulate there. That would be the appropriate way to handle the affair.
The US would never tolerate such behavior if done here.

We’ve got people who are (ostensibly) American citizens siding with the Israeli version of events, even going so far as to suggest that Israeli soldiers open fire on US Diplomatic personnel?

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over? Should we open fire on Israeli forces when they attempt to surreptitiously “acquire” intel from us?

Look, I’m not going to defend the diplomat’s behavior, which certainly seems boorish and may well deserve an appropriate diplomatic response, but murdering US personnel because you don’t like the elected President? What if the “unidentified Palestinian” happened to be a US asset? What if those “Diplomats” were NOCs? Without all the facts, it seems pretty stupid to blindly accept one side’s story here.

What with Keith Dayton training palestinians to fire on Israelis, Israel stays one step ahead by knowing the CIA is dead. And, the FBI is down in the trenches with the saud’s. Most Americans, however, are in the dark.

While, yes, the saud’s are an angry collection. So, what needs to be noticed is that the incident is on tape. Seen in Israel. NOT here! And, as far as Israelis go they wouldn’t want to cover anyone else’s back but their own.

And, the saud’s are sweating it out, because Iran is heading towards nukes. Let those American diplo-morons cover them. The Israelis will get the last laugh.
