Meanwhile… A lecture on ‘climate change’ at the University of Texas was postponed today due to a massive snowstorm.
A winter storm watch and freeze warning are in effect Friday as a storm system sweeping into southeast Texas brings a mixture of rain, snow, and sleet to the Houston area.
It is the earliest snow on record.

The AFP reported:
A top UN panel is to probe claims that British scientists sought to suppress data backing climate change sceptics’ views, its head said on Friday ahead of the landmark Copenhagen summit.
Rajendra Pachauri, head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, said the claims — which led a top expert to leave his post temporarily this week — were serious and needed to be investigated.
Professor Phil Jones has stood aside as head of the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia, after emails allegedly calling into question the scientific basis for climate change fears were posted online.
Hackers penetrated the centre’s network and posted online thousands of emails from researchers, including Jones, ahead of the Copenhagen summit which starts Monday.
The CRU at the university in Norwich, eastern England, is a world-leader in the field.

I can’t find a single global warming church memeber that forecasted this.

That’s why they have been slowly changing from using “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” over the last year or two. When they realized the globe wasn’t warming, they had to hedge. Now they can say, “See? It’s just what we’ve been telling you. Climate change. Right there. Snow in Houston in the fall. We were right all along”
Except that they were screaming “warming! warming! warming” for 20 years! When everyone is wearing a parka and shivering, it’s going to be pretty tough to convince people that global warming is causing the freezing!

Michael Mann, the creator of the “hockey stick” graph which proved to all lefty true believers that we are all about to fry from AGW, has now denounced Phil Jones for a particularly sucky email which turned up under his name, according to the Telegraph in the UK. Rats leaving the sinking ship.
Mann, in his new role as champion of academic integrity, has told BBC Radio 4: “I can’t put myself in the mind of the person who wrote that e-mail and sent it. I in no way endorse what was in that e-mail.”

Can you imagine holding a degree in climatology with the prospect into a career of promoting the biggest scam of this century and one day wake up to see your dreams shattered by FOIA inquiries. 4 to 6 yrs to get a piece of paper that is now totally useless, unless you use it as toilet paper.This scam will leave a huge mark.
I read that NASA is also trying to avoid FOIA inquiries. Hopefully someone will leak the data from them as well.

The AGW theory couldn´t be 100% proven, due to quantum mechanics, the uncertainty principle, and quantum fluctuations, as well as, if true, it´s not, solved by socialism, i.e. Cap and Trade, with a total world price tag of $145 trillion.

Regarding the cancellation of the talk at the University of Texas:
this is just another case of APRSIS, also know as Austin Panicked Reaction to Snow or Ice Syndrome. While one could see a few snowflakes for a short while today, I saw NO, and I mean NO accumulation of snow on the ground. When there are icy streets or snow in Austin, the local TV stations react as if the Bomb had been dropped. I once saw someone mowing his lawn in Austin while snowflakes were falling.
This is the earliest I have seen snow in Austin. I remember it falling in January.

hehe! That’s punny.
We had snowfall Wed morning here in Dallas. While that’s not a record breaker, it’s still highly unusual.
With this snowfront coming on the heels of the Climategate disclosure, I believe Crystal might be right: God’s making a funny and poking some fun, too. For all we know, the hackers could have been guided by The Divine and the snow is His way of letting us know that.
