Barack Obama wants to bring Gitmo terrorists to Brooklyn, Alexandria and Washington DC for trial, too.
Gitmo terrorist Majid Khan may go to Brooklyn for his US trial.
The New York Times reported:
Justice Department officials are close to deciding whether to bring several Guantánamo detainees accused of being Qaeda operatives to Brooklyn for trial in federal court, according to people briefed on the matter.
A decision to try the cases in Brooklyn would mean that major terrorism trials would take place not only in Lower Manhattan, where the self-described mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks is to be prosecuted, but also in New York City’s other busy federal courthouse. Officials have said they are also likely to try detainees from Guantánamo in federal courts in Alexandria, Va., and Washington.
The names of the Guantánamo detainees whose cases are under consideration for trial in Brooklyn have not been publicly disclosed. But the Justice Department guidelines governing the selection process suggest that officials would consider a suspect named Majid Khan, accused of being a Qaeda operative. Federal officials have said that Mr. Khan, a Pakistani who lived in Baltimore for six years, played a range of roles in plots focused on targets in the United States and elsewhere and was linked to an aborted effort to bring down the Brooklyn Bridge.

Wow! This is insane!
Any negative judgement made will be an open invitation to a militant attack on our country. Plus does this now mean we treat all terrorists as American citizens???
It seems he’s placing dangerous criminals all in key points to increase the danger to our country.
Maybe this is the plan to bring jobs, revenue for the firms defending them and employment for jail employees at the facilities housing them.
The logic of the left continues to mystify me.

I can generally ignore Bill O’Reilly’s favorable nods to Obama for this and that, understanding he needs to pander to the lefties in his audience, but I literally blew up to the point of cussing at my television last night when O’Reilly said something like “Well of course Obama is smarter than Bush.”
O’Reilly – That was wrong. Obama is an idiot. Just look at this article for proof. I think that was the last straw for me – you broke the camel’s back with that one.

The few governors I’ve heard on the radio are pitching it as a jailer jobs issue. Believe it or not, a lot of jails are run by some very powerful unions–CA is the prime example currently bankrupting their state.

Recalling o’reilly’s little personal/personnel problem a few years ago I can only assume that o’reilly’s song and dance for obama may be motivated by a little back room persuasion.
As for obama’s dotting terrorists’ targets all over this country….what is your conclusion?

The Gitmo terrorist is going to really be pi**ed at Barry when they get to Illinois and have to suffer the cold, cold, snow days and locked up in cold concrete walls with bars. Big difference between Illinois and SEA FRONT LODGING. Boy are they going to be mad! And having to put up with the union thugs is also going to be a life change for them. Wait until one of those terrorist throws pee pee on them and the union thugs beat the s*it out of them! I can see it now.

It was the Reservist prison guards who caused the embarrassment at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, NOT the US Army, but the Army got all the crap – the media had a club to pound them with and had no intention of clarifying that the Army specifically asked for reservists with prison experience so the Army could free up soldiers to actually fight, not play guard. Boy howdy they got them and have regretted ever since. Not a soul in the media wondered if US prison unions ought to be investigated.
GITMO is simple, about as cheap as it can be done and secure. The Democrats as usual,not only want to make it horribly complicated, scattered and illogical to frustrate everyone, they’ve hit on a system of blowing unbelievable quantities of taxpayer money – jacking the costs of holding these dangerous guys to the moon.
And very very difficult to follow what’s going on once they are spread around.

I believe we can thank Eric Holder and his Justice Department for this. I hope all those Republican senators who voted for his confirmation as AGOTUS are proud of their votes. I asked one of mine to consider voting against him and work to derail his confirmation. The reply was he believed a President should have his choice. Thanks for nothing. I intend to write him and ask him if he is truly proud of his yes vote.
