More Hope and Change…

Taxpayer-funded NPR wants its top political correspondent Mara Liasson to stay off FOX News.
Greta Wire reported:
Executives at National Public Radio recently asked the network’s top political correspondent, Mara Liasson, to reconsider her regular appearances on Fox News because of what they perceived as the network’s political bias, two sources familiar with the effort said.
According to a source, Liasson was summoned in early October by NPR’s executive editor for news, Dick Meyer, and the network’s supervising senior Washington editor, Ron Elving. The NPR executives said they had concerns that Fox’s programming had grown more partisan, and they asked Liasson to spend 30 days watching the network.

Let me get this straight…NPR thinks that Fox News is politically biased and the way to combat that is to boycott the show? I don’t specifically remember any discussions Mara Liasson has had but I do remember her as being reasonable.
Perhaps when she reasons with “the enemy” the enemy seems more reasonable. I know when Juan Williams is on Fox he sure nods his head a lot in agreement.
I think this is further more proof that the left does not want to discuss their positions because reasonable people who have had a constant bombardment of the MSM have been condition not to use reason when it comes to political discussion just swallow a headline as truth without investigation.
This reminds me of a time that a missionary came to my door and set up a Bible study with me. Little did they know I wasn’t ignorant of Biblical teaching. Anyway the second visit brought up one of their pillars of their faith using a scripture. I suggested another interpretation. When one of them said he never considered it that way I saw his partner’s eyebrows raise. The next visit the eyebrow raiser returned with a new partner. They didn’t want to consider what the truth was only put forth their doctrine.

Would she mind taking Juan Williams with her when she leaves, please?

I think Gateway is under another cyber-attack, it was very difficult to log on. I never thought I would see the day when we had a hostile foreign government in the White House.

I think it’s under attack again, too.
I like Mara…but I can’t watch her (she has those crazy eyes). I LIKE having the two sides of things.

I like Mara and Juan. Don’t agree with them at all times but respect their opinion.

I think Mara’s a very intelligent, quite reasonable and attractive woman. She is a true professional.
MochaLite commented:
OK, Mara, time to decide if they’re your employers or your owners! Tell them to put it where the sun don’t shine, and stay on Fox!
Buffalobob commented:
Is there any doubt that NPR and AARP have long ago been taken over by left leaning liberals?
TomG commented:
I repent of what I said at comment #6 (well, she’s still attractive). From The Gormogons today: “[On Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace] Regarding the leak and the potential damaging effect that [the CRU] e-mails might have on the global warming debate, Mara Liasson from National Public Radio stated, ‘So what if the data was manipulated, it’s like framing a person that is guilty.’”
Somebody explain to me how a “progressive” differs from any garden variety backwoods snake-handling, Bible-thumping yahoo. I mean, besides the former’s desire to grab our guns.

One of the important reasons for the existence of NPR and PBS is to serve as a TAX-DEDUCTABLE way of contributing to the Democratic Party.

When the Left’s views are presented side-by-side with the Right’s view, the resulting light exposes the deception of the Left.
NPR is obviously embarrased about that.

Early October? That’s when Anita Dunn launched Obama’s latest attack on Fox.
Coincidence?

NPR has drifted so far to the left it thinks Fox is biased. It’s like the old story about boiling a frog slowly versus dropping into a boiling pot.
I am constantly reminded of the psych term ‘projection’ just about every time a lib speaks.
Neoavatara commented:
Fox may be biased…but who is NPR to talk? They are looking for ‘purity of ideas’…nothing more, nothing less.

I also like both Mara and Juan on Fox. Some of those discussions on Fox are far more balanced and interesting than other you hear elsewhere on MSM….ironically.

There are scores of news channels. It irks me to no end that my taxpaying dollars are going to this state run media outlet. NPR and PBS should be eliminated. They have long outlived their usefulness.
Listen up commented:
Mara gives another view. I usually do not agree with her but she is not a nut case like some on the left are and some at npr certainly are. She must now be re-thinking how she feels about npr now that they have made it clear that she belongs on their farm in chains. She can, however keep her self respect and free will and go on Fox if she wishes. npr holds her paycheck, do they also hold her soul?

I did notice that Mara Liasson was conspicuously absent from the round-table tonight on Special Report.
So how is it that Jaun Williams is still there? I smell a gender bias lawsuit against NPR.
While I have never been a fan of filing suit against myself (as a taxpayer) it would be delicious to watch NPR eat their own.

Hypocrisy reigns, today. Harry Reid claims the party whose founder emancipated the slaves and who overcame a Democrat fillibuster to enact the Civil Rights Act is aligned with slavery, global leaders emit tons of pollution on their way to an “environmental” summit, and NPR claims political bias at FoxNews. Too much …

When I tried to open GP earlier today, I got a

I checked it out with “Down for everyone or just me” and they said it down for everyone.
Odd that things like that started happening immediately after the expose’ of jennings and his agenda.

She is an idiot and I, for one, will not miss her!

Oh well, I think Fox does a good job inviting and tolerating whacko liberals. No loss for Fox, lots more where she comes from.
Annie commented:
I enjoy them both. NPR is utilizing the bully pulpit to censor. If she isn’t “permitted’ to go back on Fox we need to get a petition going. I can’t boycott it anymore than currently which is never.
Hope commented:
I enjoy Mara and Juan because they bring balance to the discussion. I don’t agree with them much of the time, but they always present their views in a clear concise manner and debate, actually debate! Without most of the partisan hyper bowl! Imagine that, on Fox “fair and balanced”. That is why it is the only place on TV I watch for news and commentary on current events.
I was wondering where she went. NPR should be ashamed of them selves.

The White House attack on Fox News meant Hannity no longer reporting on Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings, and his hyper-sexualized instruction agenda for school children.

Juan is ok. Mara is not. Why the difference?
They share the same liberal view points.
