Shocker. Dem Districts Received Twice the Amount of Stimulus Funds as GOP Districts

It was one big $787 billion dollar payoff…
Just like Senator Nelson’s vote was one big Obamacare payoff.
Democratic districts have so far received nearly twice the amount of stimulus funds as GOP districts.
The Washington Examiner reported:
A new analysis of the $157 billion distributed by the American Reinvestment and Recovery act, popularly known as the stimulus bill, shows that the funds were distributed without regard for what states were most in need of jobs.
“You would think that if the stimulus money was actually spent to create jobs, there would be more stimulus money spent in high unemployment states,” said Veronique de Rugy, a scholar at the Mercatus Center who produced the analysis. “But we don’t find any correlation.”
…The Mercatus Center analysis also found that Democratic congressional districts received on average almost double the funding of Republican congressional districts. Republican congressional districts received on average $232 million in stimulus funds while Democratic districts received $439 million on average.

If you but read the archives of newspapers in the UK, you will see that the quality and amount of health care a citizen gets very much depends upon the political party to which he belongs. Oddly enough, those who vote for the Tories don’t get as much quality health care as those who vote for Labour. Coincidence? I think not.

Exactly how would conservative control scare you?
Lower taxes, ACORN operatives in jail, terrorists back at Gitmo, no Democrat slush funds, no bailouts, no Black Panthers at polls, no HealthScare, no date nights–this is the most idiotic post I’ve seen in a long time.
Our country was founded on the principles of conservatism, freedom, and individual responsibility. After the last year, I don’t understand how you can fear conservatives controlling the country.

Apparently our Founding Fathers feared it, which is why they set up a system of checks and balances via the three branches of government. Although, according to you, they were all conservatives, they knew they wouldn’t hold all the seats in all of the branches, at least not for long, anyway. For that matter, even among them there were some who favored larger government and more government control/involvement in citizens’ lives while others were bent more toward no government at all. (If Jefferson had has his way, anarchy would be the (un)rule.)

The economic stimulus became suspect as soon as we learned they were slow to be spent.
My theory is that the bulk of the stimulus funds were never intended to be spent until 2010. During 2010, these funds will be directed to pork projects within the districts of Democrat Representatives or Senators standing for election.
In other words, the stimulus funds constitute an enormous – and legally laundered – political slush fund.

that was also the point back in july……and how much of the stimulus is still being sat on for the election. the ink on the ballots was hardly dry before the bama faithful started planning on spending the o- chump change.

For years we have had different groups of people claim this or that president is not THEIR president…..this is the first president who has claimed he is president to only SOME of the USA citizens. And the dem party is the same…..they will only represent, listen to, and bribe SOME of their voters, and not necessarily give money to the people of the USA that need it the most. Unfortunately, this is the country we now have and the voters will perpetuate this until we cease to exist.

Elections have consequences. Everytime you hear someone who voted for Obama complain you should remind them that this is partly their fault because they wanted feel good hope and change.

Our current government is the most corrupt I can recall in my lifetime, and I go a long way back in history. It is frightening what they are doing, and a lot of it is overt. I really worry about what is going on under the radar.

But then you must remember, that these districts have been run into the ground by Democrats and would just naturally need twice as much money to repair the damage done.
