Ruh-Roh… Is Blago about to turn on the Obama regime?

The lawyers for former democratic Illinois Governer Rod Blagojevich want the FBI to turn over interviews conducted last year as part of their investigation into the sale of Obama’s senate seat.
The Sun-Times reported:
Rod Blagojevich’s lawyers want the FBI to give up details of interviews conducted last year of President Obama, his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, White House adviser Valerie Jarrett and others as part of the investigation into the former governor.
In a Friday filing, Blagojevich attorneys also asked for information regarding first lady Michelle Obama. However, a source said late Friday that the FBI never interviewed the first lady.
Then-President-elect Obama, Emanuel and Jarrett sat down with the FBI about a year ago — just after Blagojevich was arrested on charges of trying to sell Obama’s recently vacated Senate seat to the highest bidder.
Obama revealed he was interviewed in a report he made public last December.
The defense request, filed in federal court, asks for “notes, transcripts and reports” of interviews with the Obamas, Emanuel, Jarrett and union chiefs Thomas Balanoff and Andy Stern.
The request was part of a larger bid by defense lawyers to have prosecutors turn over additional materials, including witness statements, six months before the June trial date. Typically, prosecutors give the defense such information 30 days before the trial.
This could get exciting.

Best of both worlds. Rod’s no longer a pain in my butt (I’m from IL) but is being a pain in the annointed one’s butt…awesome…

Hope Rod’s got good security.

Eric Holder will make sure that doesn’t happen.
The press won’t touch it either. This administration ignores the law if it gets in their way.
Charliemax commented:
It’s taken a long time. All of this over one seat. Maybe they would’ve been better off giving Blago what he wanted. What’s one more crook in SEIU?
Bruce commented:
I’m with NK. The only way this story grows legs is with a DoJ that has at least a passing interest in enforcing the law.

Yeeaaahh, that’s the ticket.

Neo Kong and Bruce are probably correct. Nothing can force this administration to adhere to laws or the constitution. What would make them suddenly obey the law with regard to Blago. No reason and nobody will mention it, least of all the lamestream media.

This Blago case is SO NOT over for the Team Obama- plenty more fun on the way. And the same federal prosecutor -Fitzpatrick- is on the Rezko AND Blago cases… recall that Obama tried to replace all these prosecutors when the Blago case came out, like Bill Clinton did to protect himself from Whitewater, etc.
With felon Tony Rezko, who’s both Obama’s and Blago’s political godfather, singing to the FBI- you’ve got to be curious what kind stuff he’s already been told…
And does anyone think Blago will cover for his former campaign advisor and ally Obama, now that he has treated hiim like a leper?
Maybe someone can explain why Obama said he never spoke with Blago re. the Senate seat… while three news outlets and David Axelrod all said he did on Nov. 5th.
Or perhaps what Blago’s aides meant on the tapes when they said Obama had to “suck it up” for a couple years… did that mean temporarily refrain from bribing and racketeering, Chicago-style?
And we are also quite curious how Blago’s team found out Obama could offer his wife Patti a seat on corporate BOD’s for up to $150K/yr…so, who did they talk to from Team Obama?
The whole thing stinks like trash-truck juice- and it looks like Blago’s going to be the star of a REAL reality show now… he’s going to hit the Big Time after all.

While everyone was watching Sunday Football, they are at it again trying to break the bank while giving themselves 2% raise.
The Senate on Sunday passed a $1.1 trillion spending bill with increased budgets which
includes action to raise the $12.1 trillion debt ceiling.
The spending bill passed Sunday includes $447 billion for departments’ operating budgets.
Republicans decried what they called out-of control spending and pointed to an estimated $3.9 billion in the bill for more than 5,000 local projects sought by individual lawmakers from both parties.
The defense bill that will be the basis for the package normally enjoys wide bipartisan support, but Republicans, and some fiscally conservative Democrats, are unhappy with the prospect of another jolt of deficit-swelling spending.
Congress must soon raise the debt ceiling, now at $12.1 trillion, so the Treasury can continue to borrow, and Democratic leaders are eyeing a new figure close to $14 trillion, pushing the issue past next November’s election.

Hussein and his gang are all deeply corrupt thugs – Chicago gangland on steroids – and under thug Holder’s legal protection. Can’t wait to see how Fitzpatrick confronts Holder. It’ll come to that.

4) KSM will walk.

Hmm. What if Blago, like his hairsake Elvis, leaves the building…leaving his attorneys with no one to defend & no reason to bother the FBI about those embarrassing interview notes?
I’m not saying a dog sniffing around in a forest preserve will turn up a bunch of bones with a pompadour. Surely, Blago’s opponents have evolved to higher forms of thuggery, like…what? Hmm… lots of ill-gotten campaign $ floating around.

I’ve been saying all along Obama was going to throw one person under the bus too many and that person would turn.
Perhaps this is the one? I hope his attorneys have all the information squirreled away safely. I wouldn’t put anything past these people to get to Blago.

Snip:
Thousands of hours of digitized undercover FBI tapes were provided by the government to Blagojevich’s defense attorneys. The audio evidence was being logged in preparation for Mr. Blagojevich’s defense against corruption charges. He is accused of scheming to sell or trade President Barack Obama’s U.S. Senate seat and other pay-to-play crimes. Blagojevich is scheduled to stand trial next June with his brother Robert, the head of the ex-governor’s campaign fund.
Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis told reporters during an unrelated afternoon news conference that investigators are checking security cameras in the Southside neighborhood for any video that may show the burglars. The law office itself did not have security cameras, only a burglar alarm that was triggered by the criminals. There are no apparent suspects, according to detectives.
Even though police sources say the burglary resulted in a theft of some recordings made by the FBI and it was property provided by federal authorities to the Blagojevich defense team, it apparently is not a federal crime and therefore does not fall under the jurisdiction of the FBI.
“There is no federal jurisdiction in this theft, as it has been described to me, we are NOT investigating” FBI Special Agent Ross Rice told the ABC7I-Team.
US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who is prosecuting Blagojevich on corruption charges, has “no comment” on taped evidence in the case having been stolen. The material that was taken included copies of evidence, not originals, which would have been held by the authorities for use at trial.
