That’s odd.
Barack Obama and the Pelosi Democrats have nearly doubled the US unemployment rate in less than one year.
Not even after 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, the Clinton Recession, the Iraq War, etc. did Bush come close to what the democrats managed to do in one year.
And, President George Bush never did this either…
Obama tripled the national deficit his first year in office and he’s off to a record-setting start in fiscal year 2010.

Now You under Barrack Insane Obama have trippled that same debt in less than 1 single year. Now you want to make it worse with Cap and Tax and Nanci/Barrack Death care as in death to patients, citizens, businesses rights, freedoms, money making ability and freedom to choose what and who and how to insure if they choose to. Its fine for you to allow women to CHOOSE to kill their baby BUT GOD FORBID a business or individual CHOOSE not to buy or provide someone insurance. Lets just cut the damned federal budget 10% across the board. Nobody I have ever talked to believes the government couldnt save 10% in some way or other. They are the biggest waste of money left unchecked in our history. By the way Nancy you ugly old bat…STFU !

I checked the unemployment rate and number of unemployed in January 2007 when the Dems officially took over Congress (and at a point when I was still a Democrat. I know, shame on me.) Pelosi and company have more than doubled both the rate and the # of unemployed.

The left knows nothing of economics, save how to destroy the system. Their taxes on ‘big buisness’ have had just as much of an effect on jobs moving overseas as union leaching does. And everyone knows the union leaches go to bed with the left.
You want a recovery? Lower taxes, eliminate commodities tax as well as the death tax and the capitol gains tax, let companies fail, if they are ‘too big’, use anti-trust laws to break them up so in the future their ‘parts’ can fail.
Start scaling back on government programs, such as if someone has been on the workforce for 20 years or less, they are not eligible for Social Security or Medicare. Those who have been on the workforce for over 20 years and those currently retired would receive the benefits, albeit watered down, however this is by far a better alternative to a complete collapse where they get nothing. And as time passes without any new additions the costs would decrease with time and bluntly put, the systems would die with them.
Of course, Pelosi doesn’t think 5 minutes into the future and couldn’t comprehend anything written above.

Here’s an analogy to preventing failure and the consequences of not letting failures happen.
You know how the environmentalists for the longest time sought to put out any wildfires, regardless how small, as to prevent forest fires, because the thought that forest fires were destructive. As time went on, the brush built up until the forests became tinderboxes. Then the lightning or wayward cigarette would cause an inferno which could not be put out without extreme effort. When the flames finally die down, areas which wouldn’t have been burned have been incinerated and your left with an enormous mess to clean up.

Their promise of more regulations and taxes told business exactly what to expect: higher costs, lower profitability and an unfavorable competitive situation. And with that prospective future, money didn’t just walk, it ran for the exits. What businessman or woman is going to invest in plant and equipment and expand payrolls in that kind of environment? Not going to happen. It’s easier to keep what you have in a safe place or expand overseas. That’s one reason why the consensus among economists is that even when the economy does recover (the last quarter really doesn’t count), the “new normal” unemployment rate will be in the high single digits. As many people say today, “How’s that hope and change working out for ya?”

It’s would be nice, it would honorable but, it’s not the media’s job to remind people. It’s the REPUBLICANS job. If the general public doesn’t know these facts, then it’s completely on the republicans for ALLOWING it to happen. For the last 20 years or more, republicans have been pathetic eunuchs.
As far as I’m concerned it’s too little, too late and I welcome a 3rd political party that has as it’s guiding principle, “We drive our own message, we don’t leave it to the media.”

When 2010 rolls around the GOP or candidates need to use simple commercials..Show leberals using their own words in speaches etc sho how idiotic they are and contrast them. Show Barny Frank/ Fife on camera saying Hey Fannie is safe or not a problem or whatever he did. Show the rest like Dodd and others protecting the Franklin Raines and Freddie and Fannie criminals. Thank them for teaming with ACORN and creating and pushing for all the loans that most of those who lost homes and caused the crash and the financial mess. Put These SOB’s on the defensive. SAhow how Healthcare bills and tax and tax and Cap and Tax will cost jobs not save them. Show how every time a city or town wants any big factory to move in THEY FIGHT with other cities to see who can give the best /most tax breaks…Because they are INCENTIVES and bring /create jobs. Ask people if they believe laws are just for law abiding legal citizens or illegal aliens to follow ?
Ask why its illegal to discriminate against every race, age,creed, color, sex or sexual orientation, religion etc but its perfectly legal to discriminate against the rich or richer..(Tax rates should be equal for all). Nice try at misdirection. Whether it’s been .8 years or 8 years, the statistics tell the whole story of Obama’s economic policies, especially since “Deficit Man” Obama has spent more than anyone else in history in such a short period of time. Let me remind you that the unemployment rate is far worse than what Obama said it would be if we did NOT pass his stimulus spending plan. We did pass it, are now burdened with the additional debt, and have an unemployment rate approximately 2% higher than Obama said it would be if we passed his plan. But you worry about the label on the chart, which was simply used for ease of comparison to the previous two administrations.
I’ll freely admit that Obama was dealt a tough economic hand when he took office — though as a Senator he did support many of the policies that lead us to that point of economic turmoil — but his policies so far have been destructive. For example, continuing to push for a health care plan that the majority of the country doesn’t want and has caused companies that are unsure of its passage to hire less and create less jobs in 2009 is not the right way to go about it.

Pelosi blames Bush and Obama blames America. These two have done more harm in one year than Bush ever did.
Bush was handed 9-11 shortly after beginning his term. I’d say a terrorist attack on American soil costing thousands of innocent American lives trumps our economy woes (plus Obama’s huge debt hasn’t helped).
I’m ready for some HOPE and CHANGE- politicians speaking the TRUTH would be a good place to start.

Mrs. Pelosi is wrong. It is not Bush’s fault; it is Obama’s fault. Mrs. Pelosi will not be the Speaker of the House in 2011. She is done! I hear enough of her saying it is Bush’s fault for the last eight years during Bush’s presidency. Bush is not the President anymore. Obama and the Democratic Congress were the one that passed the job stimulus in January, 2009. They didn’t know what is on the job stimulus bill and didn’t read them before it passed. The Democratic Congress in both US House and US Senate will lose in 2010 and 2012. They don’t know to fix the economy. They just keep raising taxes high and then they blamed on some one’s else. The Democratic like to complain and whiny. It is just a wasted of time and they have never get the job done.

Such a spending can only be done if it runs past Congress, right?
The president would only sign it later.
So… in the current case, that leaves not only Barry Boy in the rain, but also the whole bunch of Democrats on the Hill.
And let’s not forget that the economic woes were planted years ago by the Democrats, and also, last year, hyped the Democrats and their media.
