Peace Prize winner Barack Obama bombed Yemen today with cruise missiles.
FOX News reported:
The U.S. has launched two missile strikes against Al Qaeda targets in Yemen, two U.S. officials told Fox News, signaling an escalation of the Obama administration’s fight against the terrorist organization.
The politically sensitive strikes Thursday, first reported by ABC News, supplement efforts already under way by the government of Yemen to go after Al Qaeda in the country, the officials told Fox News, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the operation.
Such an operation is particularly sensitive in Yemen. “It’s very difficult for Yemen to ask the U.S. for help given the nature of their population and its views about the West,” one official said. “And the U.S. doesn’t want to compromise their ability to ask for help.”
The United States has faced similar concerns in Pakistan, where reports of U.S. drone attacks on militants are common — but never acknowledged publicly by the U.S. or by Pakistan.
In the new attacks, cruise missiles on Obama’s orders hit a suspected Al Qaeda training camp north of Sanaa, the capital, and another site, where terrorists were thought to be plotting an attack on the U.S., ABC News reported, citing unnamed administration officials.

At what point do Obama’s owners ask why he’s attacking his own brethren ?
Do they ask in a calmly-worded manner……. and should they remain so disposed ?
How do they ask him….. Via the Crackberry text system, or via a post on one of the easily available, US-based jihad websites ?
Do they ask right now, as in today, or do they wait until Wednesday night’s regularly scheduled shindig for ‘the special people’ and send in another set of “gate crashers” with the line of questioning ?
There’s much more than that to consider, all of which will create many more questions to ask. But those four sets above should suffice for now.
Oh wait….. There is one more immediate ‘need-to-know’ question here………….. How many aspirin factories were harmed in cruise missile strikes since 20 January 2009 ?

How are liberals going to square this circle.
1. Yemen has not attacked us.
2. Yemen is not an imminent threat to the US.
3. None of the people killed were read their rights or had a chance to prove their innocence.
4.The UN has stated that drone strikes very well could be war crimes.
5.Osama is not there.
6.Yemen was not behind 9/11.
7. I doubt there was UN approval for these missile strikes that are considered acts of war.
8. These drone strikes kill civilians.
Reasons like this and some others were ranted day in and day out from liberals who protested the fact we were in Iraq.
I guess none of this applies now that “War IS the Answer”with the chicken hawk democrat Obama in office.

I was talking to my second in command Bill Clinton. He told me the story of how he almost got Osama bin Laden Bin Laden with a missile strike but missed by 11 hours. So, I have ordered similar missile strike on Yemen. The strike will probably have the same results as the Bill Clinton missile strike.
I am in my bunker now. If this strike fails then I will just surrender in Afghanistan and blame our crappy military. Watch for low flying jet liners. Good day.

Six detainees at Guantánamo Bay to be sent home to Yemen
“Yemeni officials said none of the 15 former detainees had returned to terrorism and they are demanding the release of more of their nationals.”
Officials in Yemen, the poorest Arab nation, also insist they need financial assistance from the US to reintegrate detainees”

Here’s the story from the New York Times:
WASHINGTON — An unreleased Pentagon report provides new details concluding that about one in seven of the 534 prisoners already transferred abroad from the detention center in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, has returned to terrorism or militant activity, according to administration officials.
“In the report, the Pentagon confirmed that two former Guantánamo prisoners whose terrorist activities had been previously reported had indeed returned to the fight. They are Said Ali al-Shihri, a leader of Al Qaeda’s Yemeni branch suspected in a deadly bombing of the United States embassy in Sana, Yemen’s capital, last year, and Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul, an Afghan Taliban commander, who also goes by the name Mullah Abdullah Zakir.”

What always gets left out of is the role that Iran is playing in Yemen. Yemen is now in a proxy war between Saudi Arabia (Sunni) and Iran (Shiite).

Cruise missiles? Thought they were Hellfire missiles from drones. A big difference, but still, good for Obama; one of the few things I agree on with him.

I am so-o-o-o-o tired of ‘people’s sensitive feelings’. The only reason so many towelheads don’t like America is that their corrupt regimes have made us the boogy man to cover their own greed and incompetence. Same thing with their devil worshipping religion.
They should be made to publically acknowledge that America is NOT the bad guy before we lift one finger to help them. If they are that morally bankrupt then let the radicals sweep them out. We would then have cause to attack openly.

It must be overwhelming for somebody to be liar-in-thief, surround himself with socialists, Marxists, and communists. This poser clearly hasno core values that fit with the vast majority of America, center-right.
In the end there is sure to be an Oscar for Best Actor, Obama the Movie. Great site, thanks for the read, J.C.

US Airstrikes in Yemen a Tactical and Strategic Failure
The US launched two preemptive missile strikes in Yemen according to two US officials quoted by ABC News. One strike was north of Sana’a in Arhab. The other in the southern province of Abyan. The main al Qaeda target, Qasim al Reimi, predictably slipped away at the last minute from the Arhab raid. Two previously surrendered al Qaeda were captured, and likely will be released once the heat is off. In total, four were killed and 17 arrested. In Abyan, entire families were wiped out. Bedouins living in tents, the fatalities in Abyan included 14 children and about 50 men and women. Dozens more were wounded.

Democrats do not know how to fight, period. They should not be trusted with any military leadership EVER.
The Left will employ its favorite tactic to blame the military for the failures of CIVILIAN decisions the military was Constitutionally required to obey.
Whipping off missles to who-knows-where is lazy, cowardly and wide open to manipulative foreign selfish interests.
Huddled in Washington, isolated from the real world, with no boots on the ground, it is TOO easy to react to a carefully crafted argument to attack some spot, on the basis of it being some hotbed of whatever when it’s simply a localized point of legitimate political opposition, NOT a terror operation.
America gets the blame and all the fall-out. The civilian Democrats then hide behind “bad- blood-thirsty-military” strawman they created just for these occasions, even though the military had 100 reasons why they had no legitimate military reasons for taking such a course of action.
Meanwhile, Iran is sitting on Iraqi territory.
Weak horse geopolitical machinations.

Reading that makes me think the obamao is supporting President Saleh in silencing any political dissent in Yemen. If the obamao will aide a human rights criminal such as Saleh what will he do to anyone here that opposes him in 2012?
Killing off innocents and calling them AQ is a ploy we can expect from a classless POS and the urinealists will tow the line and report what the obamao wants them too.
Chisum commented:
Mike,
BO aligning himself with Saleh is one of the most troubling parts of that article (beyond the killing of innocents).
There is definitely a pattern with this guy. Offending our allies and embracing our enemies.
