Missouri lawmakers are pushing new legislation to lower the compulsory age for Missouri schoolchildren and require full school days for kindergartners. Democrats Sarah Lampe and Jeff Roorda think that the panacea to education problems is quantity, not quality. Conservatives are understandably upset about this latest power grab.
Dana Loesch has much more on the story.

Because the indoctrination can never start too early…

It’s time for a mass exodus from the ‘show me state’. Unless, of course, you’re planning a stepford family.

Shellie,
I see MO is in a sleeveless dress (Dec. in D.C. none the less).
Must be working on improving her image again…Oh! Those awesomely toned arms!

Need more indoctrination time, kill the old, indoctrinate the young. Stalin did it, Mao did it, now we are trying it. For what end?

If only they’d spent three more hours each day at kindergarten, this year’s college applicants would score so much higher on their SATs. (insert eye-roll)

My youngest child is 13, and was homeschooled until recently. Did not attend kindergarten in a traditional school setting, only showed up once a year to kick their @$$es in the spelling bee and win science fairs.
Kindergarten was not a MO state requirement in 2001. Now it is?

I have long held that we as a nation need to extend the time our children spend in school from the traditional 180 days set when most kids were needed on the farms. Our children score lower than any other nation in all areas. BUT, factoring in our childrens handicap of less time in the classroom it can be rightly claimed that American kids are better educated! Yes, better educated and more informed.
Now what we are seeing is a mass assault on all levels and in all areas of our life from Leftist fanatics who want to control all our lives. Of course what these fools do not yet understand is once they get what they want the real rulers will first destroy all of them because they won’t allow any fanatics in the new world order.
We the People must not allow them to win! BB

Any other nation? Do you have a reference/link to back up this statement?

I think this is about indoctrination AND using the public school system as a day-care/dumping ground for children who inconvenience working parents. Stay at home moms are a threat to:
Obama’s vision of the USSA
The power of teachers unions
The cultural imperative that there must be 2 working parents.
Also, from what I have seen locally, stay at home moms are the backbone of the conservative rebelion.
