Liberal Politics at Its Best… Nearly Half of Detroit Is Unemployed

Is it time for a Detroit bailout?
After years of democrat control and influence nearly half of the population in Detroit is unemployed.
The Detroit News reported:
Despite an official unemployment rate of 27 percent, the real jobs problem in Detroit may be affecting half of the working-age population, thousands of whom either can’t find a job or are working fewer hours than they want.
Using a broader definition of unemployment, as much as 45 percent of the labor force has been affected by the downturn.
And that doesn’t include those who gave up the job search more than a year ago, a number that could exceed 100,000 potential workers alone.
“It’s a big number, and we should be concerned about it whether it’s one in two or something less than that,” said George Fulton, a University of Michigan economist who helps craft economic forecasts for the state.
Mayor Dave Bing recently raised eyebrows when he said what many already suspected: that the city’s official unemployment rate was as believable as Santa Claus. In Washington for a jobs forum earlier this month, he estimated it was “closer to 50 percent.”

Now Obama and democrats want to spread that same liberal philosophy that ruined Detroit across the nation.

My first thought when I saw this article was this: I really feel bad for Dave Bing…… He truly loves the city he played for all those years (Pistons) and wants to help make things right again. I think he hasn’t got a prayer and it’s not his fault.

I can put this whole thing under a “Threat To Our Freedoms” banner, because it is……. When you think about it a bit, it’s a deadly threat.
You do know that the entire area is Islam Central now, yes ?
When, not if, but when the SHTF there, it’s gonna be fast, hard and very VERY bad for everyone.
Just might be a big part of the administration’s “crisis too good to waste”……. and here it comes for the tin-foil hat crowd: I wouldn’t put it past the current bunch in DC to foment the tipping point just so they can make it happen and clamp down hard.

Good! It just shows that Welfare Addiction Politics works. Now, that there is 50% unemployment in Detroit the Limousine Liberals should step in and provide more Welfare spending. It’s addictive. It’s like having a cocaine addiction and needing another government dose of welfare dependency money to keep you on your feet.
My limousine is running and I have a meeting with Senator Dodd. We have to decide where to spend that extra $100 million. Obamacare is great. It keeps my cronies well paid and inner city junkies asking for more money. I cannot answer anymore questions. I must go.

The city of my birth, makes one want to cry. I remember a once vibrant city with clean neighborhoods and well kept lawns. I remember Belle Island where every form of recreation was available.
Then folks, the liberals took over, and you see the results. Does anything you saw bring confidence in liberalism. Garbage strewn everywhere, empty falling down houses and buildings. The ex mayor convicted along with the Wife of John Conyers and half the city council. This my friends is what is in store under Obama and his “crew” for the rest of America.
Liberalism only brings misery and pain, except for those in elite class. I’m sick to death thinking where we are heading. LORD save us the liberals are trying to make He** right here on earth.

My husband wondered why they keep voting in liberals in these areas, with this kind of reult. I said I imagine their politicians are blaming it all on the GOP and capitalism, saying their hands are tied. Many of the poor have been tools for liberals for many years. Sad for us all.

Liberalism produces more consumers than producers,with the added bonus that producers must feel guilty about achievements garnered while the consumers blame the producers for their plight.
