Leftist Thugs Shut Down Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Speech at ASU First Amendment Forum (Video)

So much for free speech… Leftist students shut down Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s speech at Arizona State University this week.
Arpaio was sitting in on a First Amendment Forum sponsored by the School of Journalism.
Oh, the irony.

Leftist students wouldn’t stop singing Bohemian Rhapsody and eventually forced Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio to leave a public forum at Arizona State University on illegal immigration. (Dec. 1)
Hispanic Business reported the news:
During the forum, which was hosted by the university’s journalism school, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was asked whether his office engages in racial profiling, according to the Associated Press.
Arpaio said his agency is an “equal opportunity law enforcement agency” that will arrest anyone who violates the law.
Later, when trying to answer a question about his policies on illegal immigration, a group of hecklers stood up and began singing the song.
Their song clearly annoyed Arpaio, who called the spectacle “ridiculous.”
“This isn’t the way journalists should operate,” he said to the host. “Are they all students up there? Why were they allowed here if they’re not students?” He later walked off the set.
The local reporters also pounded Arpaio during the interview before it was called off.

What do you expect? It was probably organized by one of the professor’s – in typical fashion they don’t even know any facts or what they’re protesting about AND in 5-10 yrs they will change to the other side and support Arpaio and his views!

This incident is a microcosm of the political discourse between the left and the right in todays world. Only certain narratives are considered debatable. The political correctness on the left shouts and disrupts any sane discussion from the right . If only one point of view is ever presented then only one position is correct.
The simple adolescent childishness of this is madness. Yet the left counts it as effective as cultivates it where possible. I never see it denounced by moderate liberals.
This should give us a glimpse of how the AGW debate will proceed.

“We appreciate the verses.” They ruined a learning experience for other students and wasted the time of the reporters and Arpaio (although his time apparently wasn’t valuable enough to be mentioned) yet they were still pandered and catered to. Bulls**t.
“If you want to sing, take it to a scary-okee bar,” would have been more appropriate, followed by “Security, please remove the warblers from the building.”
Then, as a show of respect for the guests and to remind the students that Arpaio and the reporters are doing them a favor and not the other way around, “Those students here to learn, please remain in your seats. Sheriff Arpaio and reporters, please feel free to take a ten minute break and return to the stage at (time), at which time the noise problem will be solved and we can continue with the program.”

To me, the behavior of the left in stifling free speech, coupled with the evidence we see of anti-semitism raising its dirty head,is frightening and really does harken back to Nazi Germany. If we keep ignoring it we could wind up in trouble.

It certainly is past time for the citizens of Arizona to tell their legislators to stop funding the ASU school of journalism. If they cannot even manage to have a debate without allowing brownshirts to disrupt it, then how can they possibly educate future scribblers? If all we needed were Pravda-style journalists, we could import them from the ex-USSR….

My nephew is an ASU grad and Obama supporter (still). His brainwashing began at home during his early childhood: liberal mother who put him in daycare at 6 wks. and indifferent father who was and is a pansy.
No religion in the home. Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, and Captain Planet.
At Thanksgiving, this 24 year old educated idiot was more than we could bear. My 13 year old was able to best him in debates on climate change and job creation.
It’s sad, especially for my parents, who watched his (lack of) upbringing and feared this. We love the kid, but he is so misguided. And his mother thinks he’s brilliant.

Their disruption really has nothing to do with ideology or disagreement. It’s about narcissism and the overwhelming need for these children to be the center of attention. After the show, they all ran back to their university dorms to bask in their peer’s adulation for their outrageous “wow” factor.
Mommy, Daddy; Grammy and Grampy have told them all of their lives how wonderful, smart and unique they are – the world will know thy name someday.
As they get older, they begin to realize how mundane they really are and that there are millions of them out there. Too lazy or dull to actually make a difference by becoming doctors, engineers or successful businessmen, they stoop to foolishness like this in an effort to receive the adulation they crave.

Oh man, isn’t it sweet when the leftist “student” loons illustrate their true naivet’e and foolishness. The true irony of the whole thing is that they actually helped Joe out and harmed their own “cause”(if you can call it that). Seeing Joe was to face heated and critical questions the whole time, all they did by shutting it down was allow him to avoid the assault.
Thanks loons. Your accomplishment was getting Joe to return to his desk and continue the good work of making sure that lawbreakers are arrested which includes sending ILLEGALS back to their home country where they belong until they learn to enter the country lawfully.

On a side note…
I find it rather interesting that one of the candidates for mayor of Houston specifically states in his campaign ads that he will have the police check the immigration status on everyone they arrest/ticket. In plainer terms it means the end Mayor White’s policy of Houston being a sanctuary city. Considering the fact that Houston has a Hispanic majority population this has not caused any great outcry from the local Lulac and MEChA Hispanic race warriors.
The Houston mayoral race is rather interesting in another way. Annise Parker (the other candidate) is a lesbian and one would think according to the liberal hate propaganda about all of us “bitter teabagging Klingons with guns and bibles” one would think that a lesbian would be burned at the stake here. In true Houston fashion hardly anyone really cares who she sleeps with, all they care about is if she can do the job. The majority of those who do care are the Hispanics, they apparently do not like lesbians.
It is interesting situation. Who are the Hispanics going to vote for? The black man who will enforce immigration law or the lesbian?

Here’s what was at that link
Susan Green, Cronkite News Service’s Broadcast Director, hammered Arpaio again and again on his refusal to allow the reporters he doesn’t like into media events, pointing out that his “open door” was shut to some.
Arpaio was “hammered again and again” but when Obama and his flunkies declared war on Fox news, barely a peep. I wonder if the media has a liberal bias?

I’d encourage anyone to find the video of his officer stealing files from a defense attorney, or read about his armed raid on his county IT department, and then ponder if all is really well in his operation of his fiefdom.
