Indoctinated leftist youths crashed the stage and shut down an event in Copenhagen opposing global warming socialism.
The American youths would not allow an opposing view to global warming junk science to be expressed:
US Youth delegates to the Copenhagen Climate Negotiations crash climate denier live webcast in Copenhagen and are called “hitler youth” by Lord Christopher Monckton at an Americans for Prosperity event. American youth attended to demand a safe and sustainable energy future that provides millions of clean energy jobs for Americans.
So… Who paid the way for these thugs to get to Copenhagen?

Here is a question I have been wanting to ask.
Why in the world do conservatives et al put up with this, allowing our events to be shut down, our speakers to be silenced.
Why don’t they call security. Surely they have a right to be heard. When these thugs try to shut down an event, stand your ground and insist that the disruptive ones are ejected outside where they are free to protest all they want.
Is there a right to be disruptive? To shut other people up?
No. Conservatives are well within their rights to insist that their right to free speech trumps the right of thugs to prevent discussion and insist that those rights be protected by policy and security personel.
Personally, I want to see the last of our speakers having to shout over these disruptions or be driven from the stage.
Insist on security or bring your own. Should be the new policy adopted by all who dissent from the mainstream dogmas like AGW.

I’m opposed to AGW hysteria, and to the whole Copenhagen scam. I’m also deeply opposed to the behaviour of the rabble at this event.
However, what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. When similar (though smaller scale) harassment of Al Gore occurred, it was applauded in this blog.
All such demonstrations tend to alienate “the silent majority”. That should persuade AGW dissenters to refrain from such conduct themselves, even if the simple demands of courtesy in public (and private) debate are not enough to do so.

You might think the forward-thinking Matt Ericson and family would be sitting pretty right now.
For the past three days in El Dorado County, thousands of homes all around him have been without power, thanks to unusual amounts of snow coupled with persistent cold weather.
Ericson has solar panels on his roof a mile outside Placerville and, despite the plummeting mercury, there’s still plenty of sunshine to generate electricity.
Not so fast. Ericson is powerless, too.

So like thousands of others in foothill communities that were bombarded with more snow than they’ve seen in many years, Ericson is going without. He’s missing TV shows, has to go to a friend’s house for a hot shower and would love to get on the Internet to see how his stocks are doing.
“It’s a pain in the neck,” said Ericson, whose solar business has been installing systems for 10 years.
He says the only way around solar panels that go down along with the public grid would be to install a hybrid solar system, which would charge batteries that would in turn be the power source during an outage.
The drawback? Such systems are much more expensive

There is a deep Marxist/Constitutional ideological divide that most of us know cannot be mended at the present time.
If a governor would have the testicular fortitude (Gov. Perry is the only one who comes to mind) to secede, they would create a brain drain, and their coffers would be full. The Marxist Dystopia would fail due to lack of revenue in the form of taxation.

Was Algore drowned out by unceasing and loud chanting? Did he get to say his piece? Did he get to finish the event? Did those who showed up get to hear him, interact with him and get their books signed?
The answer is yes to all the above. The protestors attempted to ask him questions. He refused to answer them. They were then removed by security and they cooperated fully.
Sure it was disruptive, but they were asking questions. They were trying to open a discussion on the issue. Which is the exact same opportunity that any of these, yes, thugs had minus the security gaurds escorting them from the premises.
Only these, yes, thugs werent content and never are content with having a discussion or asking hard questions. They shut the whole event down. Anyone wanting to listen or discuss had no opportunity to do so. Same thing has happened any number of times lately. The name Nonie Darwish comes to mind. And that sherriff guy. Both invited to join panels. Both driven from the discussion.
There is a complete difference between the kind of polite protest (is protest ever not disruptive in some way) and the shut down/drown out tactics employed by the left ALL THE TIME.
