I’m putting my money on the Alaskan Mom…
It’s been nearly two years since the Goracle first announced that the arctic polar cap “will disappear in 5 years.”
Not even the Green Peace nuts believe that any more.
Green Peace leader Gerd Leipold recently admitted that his organization’s claim that the Arctic Ice will disappear by 2030 was “a mistake.”
But, today Al Gore attacker denier Sarah Palin for not believing his global warming junk science.
MSNBC reported:
In an interview that will air on MSNBC at 1:00 pm ET today, Al Gore rebutted Sarah Palin’s Washington Post op-ed and Facebook postings that question the science on climate change given the “Climate-gate” controversy.
In response, Gore said that “the deniers are persisting in an era of unreality. The entire North Polar icecap is disappearing before our eyes… What do they think is happening?”
He said we’ve seen record storms, droughts, fires — and the effects taking place are exactly as predicted by these scientists for years.
Asked about Palin’s charge on Facebook that these are “doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood,” Gore replied that the scientific community has worked on this issue for 20 years. “It’s a principle in physics. It’s like gravity. It exists.”
Related… The Antarctic Ice Melt was at its lowest level in recorded history this year.

Thanks for the reminder of how long it has been since the most high Goracle made this prophesy. So we have 3 years left.
This use of ‘climate change’ is really getting under my skin. Of course the climate changes, it always has and always will. If they really believe it is changing towards a warming then why not just say ‘global warming’.
It’s because it is the same liberal logic as this ‘jobs saved’ and ‘our Democracy’. Even though it betrays any sense of actual reality based on true knowledge of the subject, if they repeat it enough people don’t question it and instead parrot it because critical thinking is not a particularly abundant attribute of a populist society.
If it starts to be in vogue that we are heading towards another little ice age then they can claim that too is ‘climate change’ and what they have been talking about all along. Fools and tools.

What the hell gives this pompous ape the right to label anyone that disagrees with him a “denier”? Thousands of scientists disagree or have serious reservations about “Global Warming” and the methodology used to prop it up. Climategate is the scientific scandal of the millennium, potentially impoverishing unnecessarily the lives of billions around the world.
And this clown – financially implicated in pushing this scam up to his eyeballs – thinks he can shutdown the free and open discussion of ideas by actually having the nerve to equate rational thought with the Holocaust?
Greg commented:
As best I can tell, the entire global warming prophsy is based on trending ambient CO2 concentration and ambient temperature on the same time line. All the computor models do is to average data and massage nonexisting data to come up with yearly temperature and CO2 concentration that represents the world. I have not seen anything that relates the dependency of one measured parameter to the other. Could be that temp drives Co2 rather than the other way around. If there were predictions based on transport theory, emissivity, radiation, heat transfer and content, That would be a second way to prove the Global warming hypothises and gain absolute credibility. The lack of of a second source evaluation indicates that it cannot be done. Gore has really shown his incompatence this week.

Hey, There’s a nice graphic post over at the Air Vent today on the very topic of the Ice;
The overall effect is that, of the roughly 20,000,000 square kM (average) of ice on the earth, the trend line is -35,000 sq kM per year.
So, that is less than 0.2% trend, which only barely reaches 95% significance if all available data is included.

“As best I can tell, the entire global warming prophsy is based on trending ambient CO2 concentration and ambient temperature on the same time line. ” Keep in mind the thermometer is less than 250 years old. We have temperature readings for most of the earth for about 40 years. Before that, no one with a thermometer (or other T measurment) was able to get to most of the earth. They are guessing the temperatures before that or extrapolating based on the level of CO2: “the temperature is high because the CO2 is high because the temperature is high”. And what does the temperature of the earth mean? If you have a thermometer on your desk, that tells you nothing about the temperature by the door. Anybody who has ever had a thermostat controlling their heating and cooling can tell you that. Measuring temperature and giving any meaning to it is one of the most difficult things there is. NIST spent a lot of time and energy trying to figure out the question: “What’s the temperature?” And measuring CO2??? How do you know the amount of CO2 in the air in 1066? What’s that you say? Bubbles in antarctic ice? Give me a break.

“Rebutted” is an abuse of the English language, to make it seem as if Al Gore has shown Governor Palin wrong. His environmental spewings would be rebuttals if he emitted them in an actual debate with an opponent.
But he refuses to publicly debate anyone with differing opinions, and keeps himself locked away from any kind of questions that are not softballs. He’s scientifically illiterate himself, and maintains his one-sided propaganda by ensuring that the public never, ever sees him exchanging views with one who knows whereof they speak, scientifically. He is merely a media puppet, and uses his enforced isolation from honest questions to promote politics benefiting his ‘green’ investments.

BTW The dutch papers speculated that Al Gore pulled out of Copenhagen because the msm in Holland ran the story about Professor Damste findings the week before the Copenhagen Conference. Al Gore pulled out of the conference the day after the story broke. Coincidence? Or did El Gore not want to run the risk of awkward questions as the dutch papers say.

What does he mean by “melt?”
The Arctic polar ice cap is a big honkin’ ice cube floating in salt water. It is already displacing it’s mass, melt-freeze-melt-freeze-melt-freeze every year, like clockwork. No sea level rise.
So, Al is technically correct-lawyer-like for about a month a year (for the North Pole) – August. That’s the apogee of melting for the entire year, then it refreezes to extreme temps that lurk around -50F. Just stunningly cold.
No one can stop the refreeze. There is NO SUNLIGHT at the poles during their respective winters. Al Gore is having the swoons over … 3 degree warming? Okay. -50F to -47F. What’s the highest fantasy hockey stick temps? 4 degrees? Wow! -46F.
He looks like he’s is mentally ill with a bitter mean streak a mile wide for losing in 2000. He sits around throwing off stupidities “the temperature at the Earth’s core is millions of degrees.” Now, he’s intoning “the deniers, deniers, deniers, deniers …” like some talisman prayer, if he says it a thousand times it’ll be true.
Worse, he has the crazy-glitter-look of someone who’d throw the “deniers” into the closest volcano.
Carter went bitter vindictive after his defeat and tried to undermine Reagan at every opportunity – even calling the Soviets! Gore looks like he has that same edgy bile eating away at him. Very unsettling.

Project Survival, an early environmentalism-awareness education event, was held at Northwestern University on January 23, 1970. This was the first of several events held at university campuses across the United States in the lead-up to the first Earth Day. Also, Ralph Nader began talking about the importance of ecology in 1970.
The 1960s had been a very dynamic period for ecology in the US, in both theory and practice. It was in the mid-1960s that Congress passed the sweeping Wilderness Act, and Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas asked, “Who speaks for the trees?” Pre-1960 grassroots activism against DDT in Nassau County, New York, had inspired Rachel Carson to write her bestseller, Silent Spring (1962).”
Many of us have known for the 40+ years that we need to treat our planet and its resources with respect and conservitism.

I am not a climate scientist, but if I were curious, I might have some questions:
What is the right temperature for the world (or each part of the world)? Would there be any negative consequences if you could keep it there?
To make robust forests/crops that are capable of supporting all of the oxygen-loving life on the planet, isn’t a higher level of CO2 required? If we significantly decrease the level of CO2, will we have to start getting rid of some oxygen-loving life?
Has the temperature of California increased since the emission controls of the 70s caused a decrease in smog?
Why is the correlation so weak between CO2 and the temperature? CO2 rises consistently over time, temperature peaks and valleys.
Why won’t anyone involved with the religion, debate it? Why do so many evangelists have so few facts at hand?
Why do there always seem to be people who want to exploit the weather? Someone posted a video showing headlines starting in 1860 or so, trying to alarm the public about climate change.
What relevance does “on record” have? What if the climate was only “right” before we started recording temperature?
If they aren’t sure about what is going on (forget the cause, they can brag about 0 hurricanes this year), how can they sell a course of action?
Why do all problems that the left deems worth noting have the same solution? Government bureaucracy and taxes.

But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned, namely mistaking symptoms for cause. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changing attitudes and behaviors that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.”]

Both Strong and Gore come from the Club of Rome clique, who in their 1991 Report, “The First Global Revolution” openly admitted how they were planning to exploit the contrived hoax of global warming in order to further their agenda.
