Junk Scientists deleted global cooling data that showed the earth was cooling not heating up.

Watts Up With That posted this report that exposes the junk scientists behind global warming as complete frauds.
For the very first time, the Climategate Letters “archived” the deleted portion of the Briffa MXD reconstruction of “Hide the Decline” fame – see here. Gavin Schmidt claimed that the decline had been “hidden in plain sight” (see here. ). This isn’t true.
The post-1960 data was deleted from the archived version of this reconstruction at NOAA here and not shown in the corresponding figure in Briffa et al 2001. Nor was the decline shown in the IPCC 2001 graph, one that Mann, Jones, Briffa, Folland and Karl were working in the two weeks prior to the “trick” email (or for that matter in the IPCC 2007 graph, an issue that I’ll return to.)
Meanwhile… In the real world the sun is falling into another funk which means cooler temperatures ahead.
And, Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, claims NASA is hiding their climate data from the public and is ready to sue.

I’ve been reading this morning about the solubility of CO2 in sea water. It seems that the warmer the water the more CO2 can be absorbed. Hmmmm… didn’t the AGW crowd, Lord Gore specifically, tell us that the rise in CO2 caused air temps to rise? It seems to me that increasing air temperatures would cause the ocean temps to rise also as they try to reach equilibrium. If that is so, and CO2 concentration increases in warmer water, wouldn’t that process REMOVE some CO2 from the atmosphere? Why of course it would!

I think its all of the above. Even trolls are asking What The Hell Is This Guy Doing? The truth can be a bitter pill to swallow. But once swallowed — healing takes place immediately.

Until the media actually starts reporting news instead of tabloid puff pieces (Octomom, Balloon Boy, Tiger Woods), the general populace will remain ignorant and uninformed.

#8: It would be a simple experiment to place sea water in a closed system and slowly increase the CO2 concentration, while maintaining a constant pressure inside the vessel, to see if there is a temperature change. This is what they’ve told us, isn’t it? That increases in CO2 cause an increase in ambient temperatures? OK, trolls, y’all are so damn smart, let’s see you do the experiment! And you WILL show us your methods, materials, and how you arrived at your conclusions! What? No takers? Why not? The science is settled, right?

I am wondering how many opposing scientists are there whose carrers have been affected by the intentional discrediting and undermining by these shams? I think I smell lawsuits and hopefully arrests.
The MSM seems ardent in their lack of disclosure on these issues.

The coverage of Woods is really pi**ing me off. Except for those personally involved, does anyone really care or are they changing the channel like I do every the time the topic is brought up? Is Woods still relevant even in the golf world? I’m not asking rhetorically; I’d really like to know if anyone outside the MSM actually cares enough to follow the non-story?

The thing I find so amusing about all of this is that AGW Theory from the very start was utterly preposterous, even if the world was warming and not cooling as we see it is.
The idea that a TINY increase in a TRACE gas could “give the earth a fever” is beyond ridiculous.
In the fossil record, CO2 levels increase AS A RESULT OF WARMING, not the other way around. The very premise is absurd. Like heating a bathtub of water with a single match.
As a matter of fact, historical trends of global cooling have often been preceded by MASSIVE dumps of CO2 into the atmosphere in the form of volcanic eruptions. Just the opposite of what AGW proposes.
The final straw: AGW seems to make the assumption that earth’s temperature around 1900 or so was, for some reason, the PERFECT temperature for earth and any increase from that would cause the extinction of mankind.
When this is all said and done, I would not be surprised to see Al Gore behind bars for his role in this scam.

Actually the opposite is true. The solubility of CO2 in water decreases as temperature increases. This is one of the reasons why AlGore’s famous CO2/Temperature correlation graph is so misleading. As the earth warms and sea temperatures rise, the oceans release more CO2. Thus atmospheric CO2 concentrations should follow temperature which is what is actually shown in the paleoclimatic record.

Because the media has/will impose a complete blackout on this and other issues like it, I feel it is up to us to spread the word until the “critical mass” forces the MSM to act (like w/ the ACORN story).
In my opinion it is up to us to move the information beyond the boundries of what we all know.
We need to e-mail the information ’round the world, most importantly to those who wouldn’t otherwise see it.
Chat about the issues at work and at every event, as well as to strangers in the store checkout lines, etc.
Everyone listens to a “Can you believe what this government is doing now to us to tax us more?” conversation (with a drop of a web site reference to learn more)…..

Wow, didn’t know you could get a “peer reviewed” paper published in 2004 on a well known scientific principle that I learned in high school chemistry 30+ years ago. Actually, it’s intuitive if you think about it. Take a carbonated beverage out of the refrigerator, shake it, let it set for about 5 minutes, and then crack it open. Do the same with one that’s at room temperature and note the difference.

Actually, ‘hide the decline’ was not an attempt to hide cooling temperatures; the temperatures in question had indeed warmed.
The problem was that Briffa’s tree-ring data showed cooling when they should have shown warming. So rather than graphing the misleading tree-ring data, they spliced in the accurate instumental temperatures.
Since Briffa’s tree-ring data was being used to reconstruct historical temperatures which, in turn, demonstrated unprecedented warming in the past century, it simply wouldn’t do to show that tree-ring data doesn’t reflect accurate temperatures.
It’s not this one graph, it’s the entire ball game. Warmists can’t reconstruct past temperature records with tree-ring data because they can’t demonstrate that tree-ring data can represent the temperature.
Briffa’s work suggests that tree-ring data is a faulty temperature proxy.
