A Good Solid B+

Barack Obama’s approval index number dropped to a new low today.
Rasmussen reported:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 That’s the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President (see trends).

At the end of his second term President George W. Bush had a 43% disapproval rating.

In less than one year Barack Obama managed to pi$$ off more people than George W. Bush.
Nice work, Barack.

We know. It must be Bush’s fault.

  1. Future news story:

    A.P. – November 3, 2010.

With the Democrats still reeling in shock after historic, sweeping GOP victories at all levels of government, Rasmussen delivered even more bad news today reporting that President Obama’s approval rating had, incredibly, slumped to only 9%. When told about the Rasmussen poll President Obama cheerily replied, “Hey, the good news is that this is unprecedented!”

  2. He’s thrown all caution to the wind; ticking off the far left by sending more troops to Afghanistan, rather than bring them all home. The withdrawal from Iraq is running, more or less, on George W. Bush’s timetable, much to the chagrin of the far left. And the Black Caucus is – almost unbelievably – scolding him for not doing more specifically for Blacks. They somehow think a black president should do more for “his own” folks, at the expense of all others. Even Obama knows that’s not realistic. (So much for the woman in Florida who said on election night, “Obama is going to pay my mortgage!”).

He’ll continue to get high approval numbers from Illinois; especially Chicago – along with the movie star crowd in Californicate.

When the cost and inefficiency of his so-called health care legislation is realized, even that support will dwindle.

Assuming he succeeds in giving amnesty to about 12 million illegal aliens, he’ll pick up a few points there.

When all is said and done, he’ll be VERY fortunate to pull in any approval number above 25, which puts him on just about the exact same level as the Democratic controlled Congress.

His Hope and Change stardom rocketed upward a year ago and it’s coming back down at almost the same rate of speed. 2010 will certainly be a year to remember for Democrats.

  3. Right, the “polarization” will be blamed on a climate that Republicans “created” during Clinton’s impeachment, “intensified” during the 2000 Florida recount, and was “institutionalized” under Bush.

The left has their little narrative and no number of facts will change their minds.

  4. Something to think about.

    The Dems’ political payoff

I think that a lot of congressional Democrats are going to pay the price of Obamacare, but Andrew McCarthy highlights a key point:

The best thing about Mark Steyn’s guest-host stint on Hannity last night — other than Jonah’s joining him on the panel — was that Mark asked some pointed questions of two brilliant political strategists, Dick Morris and Karl Rove, that seemed rooted in Mark’s theory that, on health care and all it entails, “The Dems are thinking strategically; the Republicans are all tactics.”

  5. I’ve decided the Democratic party is on par with 3 year old children. If a child does something wrong, an adult witnesses it and confronts the child with the fact the adult saw the offending act…the child will deny that he/she did it, believing his/her lies the entire time. Nothing the adult says will change the child’s discourse.

This sums up the Democrats. Arrested development and dangerous in seats of power.

Just like 3 year olds. You can’t trust them. They don’t have the capacity to make intelligent decisions.

  6. i’m feeling a bit of schadenfreude now, it helps alleviate the despair i feel about obamacare.

  7. You know, all this would matter if obama and the dems considered themselves ELECTED OFFICIALS. They seem, however, to consider themselves our rulers.

  8. Mentioned above was the amnesty bill, rest assure this will be pushed through in time for the 2010 elections. And ACORN is now actively mustering their forces to add six million more votes for Obama. We have seen our last honest election, Holder has refused to investigate any case that might discredit the 2008 elections. And 2010 will be but a sham.

  9. ++

notify me when Obama’s at -6 feet w/o a shovel..

  10. Despised?

    I’ll vouch for that… personally, I can’t stand him

  11. Can’t wait for the day that elected official becomes an ejected and dejected.

  12. In all fairness, the Rasmussen numbers are statistical outliers. The Real Clear Politics “poll of polls” is a more neutral indicator, averaging 15 polls together: RCP Average 12/1 – 12/21
    Approve: 49.7 Disapprove: 44.6

  13. At the risk of being tagged raaaaacist, can we imagine what his approval numbers would be like if (the monolith known as ) blacks were not considered?
