California Senator Barbara Boxer is upset about Climategate.
…She’s upset that the emails and files were leaked.
Senator Boxer wants to prosecute the hackers who leaked the emails that revealed that Global Warming is massive fraud.
The Hill reported:
Leaked e-mails allegedly undermining climate change science should be treated as a criminal matter, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said Wednesday afternoon.
Boxer, the top Democrat on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, said that the recently released e-mails, showing scientists allegedly overstating the case for climate change, should be treated as a crime.
“You call it ‘Climategate’; I call it ‘E-mail-theft-gate,’” she said during a committee meeting. “Whatever it is, the main issue is, Are we facing global warming or are we not? I’m looking at these e-mails, that, even though they were stolen, are now out in the public.”

The ‘hacker’ meme will fail. The emails were probably leaked by some appalled scientist who finally hit a threshhold on how much fraud he could stomach.
The emails were shopped, sent to the BBC, which then ignored them.
That forced the leaker’s hand, and he used a Russian server to host them for all the world to see.
I’m sure the BBC is shocked to discover they aren’t the gate keepers of information they once were.
Boxer isn’t a gate keeper either, but watching the delusional defend their thinking can cause whiplash trying to conform to the pretzel logic.
The problem for the whitewashers now is that ALL the data from CRU is the underpinning of the entire scam, and none of it is reviewable, verifiable, or reliable.
Stick a fork in it, climate science is done.

I don’t remember the left being upset when the Pentagon Papers were published. If you remember or research this issue, this study was top secret, classified, and not to be published. If memory serves me correctly, the left was delighted when this was leaked.

I hate to say it, but it’s because of other fools who don’t do their due diligence (or any kind of even minimal digging) before an election to find out what the candidate represents, and then vote the fool into office. Although, I get the feeling more and more are pulling their heads out of the sand these days. Can’t wait for 2010 and the elections!

I have seen her on Fox a couple of times and she is sharp as a tack. No, Ma’am, that is NOT the issue. Climate will change. The issue is: is climate change related to human activity, and if it is, to what degree?
There is a vast amount of information indicating that climate change is a natural process, that goes through regular and repeating cycles. There is evidence (and logic) that the sun’s activity have a large impact on the earth’s climate cycles.
There is no evidence (so far) that human activity has any meaningful impact on those cycles.
IF human activity is essentially irrelevant, government regulation to effect human activity is unnecessary, intrusive, and by expanding government control, diminishes human liberty. But of course Ma’am, you are fully aware of all that, because expanding government control is your true intention. I truly hope you can recover from your delusions.

Worth pointing out AGAIN: the information contained in the emails that were “leaked” was legitimate Freedom of Information data, PAID for with PUBLIC money, so the criminals are the ones who refused to disclose it and then tried to destroy it, not the person who simply honored the FOI request…perhaps in an unorthodox manner.

Which are: 2.14 x 10^12 tons CO2 per season!!!!!
According to the IPCC mankind produces ~22 x 10^9 tons per year. ~1% of the insectoid CO2.
