3 Days Later… Obama Finally Comments on Attempted Detroit Terrorist Bombing (Updated)

It may have taken him 3 days but Barack Obama finally left the beach for five minutes to comment on the attempted terrorist bombing on Christmas Day.
It looks like somebody slipped him a jacket.
Reuters reported:
President Barack Obama on Monday vowed to track down all those behind an attempt to bring down a U.S. airliner on Christmas Day, confronting criticism that he had slipped up on national security.
“We will not rest until we find all who were involved and hold them accountable,” Obama said, interrupting his year-end vacation in Hawaii to assure Americans that his administration was doing all it could to ensure security after a Nigerian man managed to smuggle explosives onto a Detroit-bound flight.
“The American people should be assured that we are doing everything in our power to keep you and your family safe and secure during this busy holiday season,” he said.
Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, is charged with attempting to blow up a Northwest Airlines plane as it approached Detroit on a flight from Amsterdam with almost 300 people on board.

Well sports car fans – looks like we are on our own to protect ourselves on air flights. I do have concerns that some terroist might get killed while being subdued during a struggle. If over the skys of The Republic of Texas – it would be self defense – in fear of our lives. All these new “rules” will accomplish is destroy the airlines. More and more people will drive rather than fly anymore. One way to improve safety is to require a visa of anyone coming to USA or for tickets to be purchased at least 2 weeks in advance so names can be checked. Flying is a privilege – not a right. What, exactly does this mean? It means that INTERPOL now has the full authority to conduct investigations and other law enforcement activities on U.S. soil, with full immunity from U.S. laws such as the Freedom of Information Act and with complete independence from oversight from the FBI.
