It’s called “The Worst Bill Ever” with epic new spending and taxes, pricier insurance, rationed care, dishonest accounting: The Pelosi health bill has it all.
It’s scary and it was out on Halloween.
The winner for this year’s scariest Halloween costume goes to Mark in San Francisco.
Mark sent this in the email yesterday:
Thought you might like to see photos of the scariest costume this year—HR 3200, the government takeover of healthcare (at least I think that is the current bill, 1990 pages). The costume is to scale, 3:1. Note the thickness. Although my wife thought we’d have to worry for our safety and would be “picking a fight,” even in fairly liberal Pleasanton, CA (east of San Francisco), people “got it” and thought it was funny—especially the Nancy Pelosi mask.

It’s even more frightening in real life.

Oh, my bad… That’s not a Joker mask.

You mention hitting “the rich” with taxes. This is a favorite “progressive” theme. The rich in this case will include a lot of small business owners and leaders, sapping money that could be developing small businesses and employment. Any tax rate that goes up tends to raise less money, not more, and every attempt to soak the rich costs the poor far more than it does the rich. Not on tax returns, but in charitable donations, in opportunities for employment, in stock values for middle-class stock owners (the vast majority of us). Soaking the rich inevitably lowers everyone’s standard of living — except that of the really rich.
