Reid Senate Bill: Uninsured Americans Will Pay Penalty… Uninsured Aliens Won't

Obamacare will penalize uninsured Americans but uninsured aliens will get a pass.
What a shock.
Keith Hennessey reported, via Instapundit:
Under Leader Reid’s amendment, in the year 2019 about 16 million U.S. citizens would be uninsured and be forced to pay a penalty tax of almost $800 per year. About eight million illegal aliens would be uninsured and would owe no penalty tax. Both groups would get their health care through a combination of out-of-pocket spending and use of uncompensated care in emergency rooms and free health clinics.
This seems unfair.

There is one more cloture vote. Whether she meant it or not, Lincoln informed Harry Reid that if the public option was still in the bill after the debate she would not be voting for cloture. Joe Lieberman said the same thing. He has always said he would vote to move the bill for debate. It’s the next cloture vote, the vote to end debate, that he says he will vote against if the public option is there.
The Tea Party organizations in AR, LA, NE and IN should start recall petitions against the so-called wavering Senators in these states. I know there is a controversy over whether or not a sitting U.S. Senator can be recalled but if enough signatures are collected, at least it might wake these people up. The pressure needs to come from within their own states.
Complaining on the blogs isn’t going to move anyone. Only a concerted effort by the constituents of these Senators will make the difference.”

Health is grand, but not having health insurance is two grand. Naturally there’s no requirement for undocumented Democrats to get insurance, that would amount to documenting them.

Maybe we Americans should denounce our American citizenship, thereby, having illegal status we will then be entitled to all kinds of free-be stuff like free health care and free education and we can live here tax-free. Being that Dems are so reluctant to kick out illegals we all get a free ride.

This whole bill is chock full of ridiculous, absurd stuff like the subject of this post – which is the reason this bill wouldn’t receive more than a passing glance from us during normal times. It’s unfortunate that we must involve ourselves – but the fact is that nothing in this bill is worthy of discussion….PERIOD. Unfortunately…..
But, I am putting the cart before the horse here. If this administration continues this pattern of targeting us and trying desperately to ruin our country – we by default won’t be facing any penalty issue by the year 2019. If things go according to their little plan, by 2019 these reprehensible people will have looted America down to our last pennies and for the last time. We can’t pay their stupid penalties if we don’t have the funds to do so, now can we? This type of stupid, circular reasoning only gets these people a well-deserved shot in the foot!

All this tax, forcing insurers out of business, fees, more taxes, jail, rationed doctors, rationed medical schools, rationed drug costs, death panels and $300 million to Landrieu and the basic number of uninsured remains the same, and the hospitals STILL don’t get reimbursed for illegals using hospital emergency rooms for free?
A lot of money is going somewhere, but plainly into HEALTHCARE it ain’t.

I’m thinking Harry ought to reconsider that section of the plan. Rewarding unlawful entry with benefits and other advantages during financial crisis that PREVENTS US Citizens from providing for their own needs continues to be a bad case of poor judgment. And poor planning and careless, reckless policies on the part of the federal powers does not constitute a crisis for those of us law abiding citizens and those legal immigrants who properly adhered to the rules of this country concerning entry in and complying with whatever the requirements to maintain valid documentation. This is a massively important issue regarding homeland security and border control which are not debts we are bound to repay.
I am quite certain — in fact, since this is a replay of a movie which already had razor sharp results as to demanding the actual FIXES to the problems in order to address the direction toward any future proposals — that both my senators and all my congressional representatives are still crystal clear on their marching orders.
Harry might better get his action plan and order of operational procedures, then double check the structure of the program. If all the cracks and holes in the structure are not solidly secured, I’m thinking Harry will be the one running into a land mine the likes of which he does not want to face again without a solid foundation.

Hey Englebert, why do you think we conservatives were up in arms about G.W. wanting to give illegal aliens a “pathway to citizenship”? You see, true conservatives don’t just follow lockstep (see “goosestep”) with whatever the Republican party or Republican president says.
